The Devil's Accessory

A fast-paced Short novel Natasha has been Erik's assistant for as long as anyone can remember, faithfully carrying out his every whim and command. From being his live model to running Carnal, scheduling his routine and even getting his coffee, she has been his right hand. However, as the night settles, she takes on a more sinister role. She becomes his scouter, his hunter, and his protector as they search for a pure soul to reclaim his throne. While it is understandable that Erik is in search of a pure soul, one has to question the morality of such an endeavor. He is willing to do whatever it takes to reclaim the throne, even if it means putting Natasha in a dangerous position. Furthermore, this endeavor will likely open up old wounds, secrets, and the mystery of what Natasha is. Disclaimer This is a rewrite of an old novel I wrote two years ago.

Vital

Azrael stepped down on the familiar pine wood floor with a pain in her chest. The place was the same, from the white walls, which were decorated with unusual paintings and art, to the colorful modern yet mismatched couches that sat down the curved stairs. Of all places to choose why here, Azrael thought to herself. She took a step down the stairs when she was shoved into a wall.

Lucifer's deranged eyes caught her. "You smell like feathers and rain" he shoved me deeper into the wall before stumbling to the foot of the stairs and sliding down onto the first step with his head in his hands.

His waistcoat sat crooked and the shirt under it was half in and out of his pants, his coils of hair were in disarrange and his sleeves rolled to his elbows.

Azrael pocketed her hands. "we don't have time for this. We need to get this over with" she cocked her hip, and he threw his head back.

"you certainly had time to run off to heaven," he scoffed, staring up at her.

She stared down at him with burning eyes "I wouldn't have to go to heaven after what you did" his eyes flashed with pain which Azrael ignored. "Where are the others? We have little time. Where is Nalana?" Lucifer stood up, pushing down on his knees.

He stared down at me. "You worried over someone you don't even know. What happened to loyalty" his voice growled and clawed at his throat, his eyes boarded into hers.

She lifted her head to stare right back up at him "that loyalty went out the window after you tried to kill me" she sneered as he rolled his eyes, stumbling away from her "we don't have time for this, where are the others? What is the plan?" Azrael turned to leave the pathetic fallen angel when she got a hint of pity. "Your self pity is pathetic," she said to him.

He whipped around and found himself centimeters away from Azrael. "I should have pulled a scythe from your dead corpse," he hissed into the woman's ear. A flash of sorrow flashed past her eyes.

A creak of the floorboards got their attention, they turned to see Jasper leaning against the wall "he's hungry, he doesn't mean it" he commented as Lucifer looked down at the angel who just walked away from him to find three women ascending the stairs.

Nanala instantly ran up to Azrael and gave her a hug, which made her step back. "Nat, I was so worried," she whispered in the softest voice.

Azrael slowly removed the soul from her and patted her head. "I am ok, just needed to get something," she reassured the ginger with a smile. "So what's the plan?" Lucifer shook his finger towards her.

"We are not telling you anything until you tell me what happened in hell and heaven" His voice was determined and aggressive. The soul jumped at his tone, but Hela stepped forward.

She grabbed the collar of her jacket. "Not until you satisfy your hunger. You are weak and it's kind of pathetic," she said frankly as she picked her nails.

Jasper crossed his arms, "you can't go anywhere, so hunting is off the menu, he just gonna have to drink someone's blood" they all turned towards Azrael.

She rolled her eyes and moved away from him. "I am not human anymore, technically, so I am off the table," she expressed with her hands.

Hela smirks, grabbing her waist "well, your body is filled with the most potent vital to ever exist, one drop and he would be full" Azrael shook her hand.

"no, the last time he tried to feed off me, he began to shake. It was horrible" her body shook at the memory.

Hela held Azrael in her arms. "Now you have more control over it," leaning her head on the angel's shoulder.

Lucifer grabbed the angel from his sister's grasp and pulled her towards the office. The tearful eyes of ginger were missed by the Devil but Azrael saw it all. She pulled her arm from him and walked herself into the bright colorful office space which has a giant window behind a desk. Her old office. She caressed the table, reliving the memories of this place.

A hand grabbed her waist and pushed her against the wall. "The least you can do after leaving me," Lucifer hissed as she pushed against his chest.

He grabbed her waist again, pushing her against the wall, which made him notice her white pinstriped suit and armor crisp white corset that lead up to her cleavage. He lingered on her exposed collarbone and vulnerable neck.

"the least you could have done was free me or rather, tell me the truth," she sneered back at him, but he was silently looking into her eyes.

Slam! His fists banged the wall behind her "I needed you" his voice whimpered and Azrael saw the stress that settled on his brow. The weakness in his withered shoulders and vulnerability in his eyes.

She knew he didn't mean the last five hundred years when he kept her captive, but there was more lingering in his eyes. She moved her head to the side and raised her neck. "Take what you wish" she took in a deep breath, missing the fragile look on Lucifer's face.

Fang sank into her chest, just under collarbones. A yelp escaped her lips while a grunt escaped his, while overwhelming lust moved up her body again. As the devil sucked up her vitality but he began to move off because of the sweetness. Azrael grabbed his arm, pulling his back onto her, crushing the fabric of his shirt while his fangs sank back in. And she felt the power return to his body, how strong his arms grabbed her waist then suddenly grabbed her hips, lifting her up before slamming her onto her desk; her legs instinctually went around his waist.

Released his fangs from her flesh and began to lick up her neck towards her lips. She gasped as he reached them; they stared into each other's eyes until Lucifer grabbed her wrists and pushed him above her head. Locking them in place as her back arch to meet his chest, their breath was heavy, memories flashed through their eyes and tingling of forgotten touches went spreading on their bodies. The surrounding atmosphere was different, like the world stopped, waiting for their next move.

Suddenly, Azrael grabbed his wrist and pushed him against the wall. An ache settled in both their chests. He was an ache that it wasn't the same and he was an ache of rejection and unforgiveness. She pushed off him and headed for the door.

He grabbed her arm, but she didn't look him in the eye. "Next time you betray me and go to God, I will kill you" he was angry and in denial, he wanted to repay her for it.

She faced him, her eyes turning white. "How?" she stared deep into his eyes, what glowed red. "I am death, how can you kill what is already dead" she turned. Swinging open the door while Lucifer placed his hand onto his chest, still feeling her touch all over him and trying to control the feelings he thought were long gone.
