LILITH

Kai focused his sight and sure enough he could see a figure floating towards them.

Someone tapped Kai's shoulder as he whirled around instinctively, he found himself face to face with another woman who had a hand on her forehead, also peering at the setting sun.

"Is something there? You do know you might damage your eyes staring at the sun like that," she asked, her voice gentle, humble yet proud with the element of intrigue in it.

Her hair was like a flaming waterfall reddish in color. Her eyes crimson, black, full of mischief, she bore a smile. Her skin was fair but not to the point that it did not suit her. The tan was perfectly complimenting her long hair. She possessed breathtaking beauty, goddess like. Her dress matched her, it was simple clothing but of extremely high quality, a one-piece wear that covered her from her shoulder to her feet, a gentle white-ish purple color with golden belts around her waist and shoulders. The jewelry she wore was also minimum, a gold tiara with a diamond encrusted on it. She had two bracelets similar in shape to the one that Allen had gifted Kai but was of white jewels and a necklace that itself seemed priceless.

Kai shocked, opened his mouth to speak but then closed it again and looked towards Ken and Sophie.

"Oh, where are my manners?" The newcomer said, "My name is Lilith, and you must be ... Kai" The person who called herself Lilith was smiling.

Ken spoke up, nodding towards Kai. "Lily, long time no see."

"Oh... what a pleasant surprise, its Kenny. You're here too? I didn't notice, let me guess, this is the boy?"

"Yes yes, he is the one. Anyway, what are you doing here? I haven't heard from you for so many years."

"Yeah, sorry about that, but you know this happened and that happened, I sort of lost track of time."

"I hear, you are a heretic now."

"You heard. Oh well, just adding stuff to my titles. They call me the Heretic now"

"Must be troublesome. What happened?"

"Nothing really, I opposed the old ones in the counsel and next thing you know I have a death warrant on me"

"Hahahaha, I always wondered how you fitted in the counsel of those Gods, so what brings you over."

"Oh yes, about that, I am the one surprised. You guys playing with my pet without even inviting me"

"Goddess" Kai asked a surprised look on his face speaking slowly.

"Ah yes, I am, you see a Goddess just as you are a double pure, Kenny is a demon and that child there appears ... hmmmm, human"

"Oh..."

"Lily I assure you, we meant no harm. We were merely traveling", Ken spoke again.

"I see, so upon your travels you decided to steal a very precious jewel along with my favorite pet ... and you meant no harm."

"I swear Lily we did not know that these were your properties."

"Ken be quiet. This double pure boy, I wish to speak with him."

Kai looked at Ken who nodded.

"Kai did you know you were stealing from me?"

"Goddess Lilith, I didn't even know of your existence until a few moments ago"

"That is true," Lily pressed her lip, "but then why did you steal?"

"I was told to bring back a certain jewel in order to save my friends life"

"Well, that's a simple enough reason... but a crime is still a crime be it for a good purpose or not."

"I am very sorry to have offended you; will it make things better if I returned it?"

"Wait... you are willing to return my jewel of creation?"

"I don't know what it is, but if it's yours I will return it. I no longer need it to save my friend.

"Well... fine then. Give it back!" Lily extended her hand in a childlike manner speaking in a voice that resounded of disbelieve. Kai drew the blue gem from his pocket and placed it in Lily's outstretched hand.

"Well, you have returned it... but you still stole it... along with my pet..."

"Sapphire, are you willing to serve him" Lily asked looking at her.

"Yes, my Goddess."

"I see. So here is my judgment Kai"

"Your judgment?"

"Yes, for your crimes against me, I intended to kill all of you, but Kenny is here, and you explained the situation better and you also returned my gem. Well, I shall not harm you. You are forgiven"

Lily smiled "You can keep the Esper too."

"Esper?"

"Espers my dear are creatures that have lost their lives but were not killed. They are then raised by very complicated magic, The likes of which a God or a being of that level can usually perform. Espers are only as powerful as their owner though. Anyway Kai you are forgiven but I will keep an eye on you. It's been so long since I have met a double pure," Lily finished "you are interesting Kai, very interesting."

"What do you mean goddess?"

"Kenny will explain and please call me Lily, a friend of Kenny is a friend of mine"

"Lily, are you sure you can stay here?" Ken asked looking around.

"Oh my! you are right! well Kai, I am sorry friends, but I must take my leave, If you will excuse me," She was smiling and waving at Kai as her being started to fade and soon she disappeared.

"What. Was. That." Kai exclaimed.

"That was Lilith, a very old acquaintance. The Goddess of deception, the mistress of Chaos, the child of mischief, the heretic. What she meant by the interest bit is that you will face a hell lot of more trouble from here on. She has found a new player to play her games, and her games leave most people dead,", replied Ken, "Still, you should be glad you are alive."

"I see."

Sophie turned her head towards Kai,

"Where would you like my seal master?"

"Your seal?"

"A mark she will leave on you to ascertain your ownership." Ken answered.

"How about the wrist or someplace" Kai asked Ken.

"Your choice man"

"Well Sophie, decide for yourself"

"Decide for myself?" Sophie was kind of shocked, but she went into thought immediately then approached Kai.

"Wait a minute, how do you place the mark again?"

"Like this" Sophie replied as she inclined her head towards Kai's neck near his shoulder, before Kai could react her lips covered the spot. Kai felt an electric current coursing through his body, before he could open his mouth in protest a burning sensation seized him so that instead of the retort, a small, Ah, escaped him. The burning sensation was followed by the feeling of a soft tongue licking the burn over and over again, Sophie used her tongue to subside the pain of the burn, Kai could only hold his breath and then Sophie released the "Kiss" and her tongue made its way up to Kai's ear across the side of his neck where she released him.

"W-what was that?"

"I merely marked my seal, here have a look", Sophie waved her hand and at her command, the sand transformed into a mirror, she held it up to Kai and sure enough on Kai's neck, Kai could see a small circle with a wyvern in it.

"I shall do my best to appear when the master's commands, but you must know my strength is itself dependent on your master, in your current state I won't be as strong as I was when I caused you so much trouble. Now if you excuse me may I tend to my wounds!"

"Oh, sorry about that."

"A matter of the past master", saying that Sophie stepped back and after a small bow disappeared into a gust of sand.
