THE SUN OF CHAOS

Cyer, Ken and Kai were all in the middle of combat, while Ken was mostly protecting Kai, Cyer was on the offensive. They were surrounded by the bounty hunters.

* CLANGGGG...TISHHHH*

Cyer blocked a sword with his own and using the same momentum slid his blade along the opponents, swiftly cutting through his neck, slicing of his head.

As a spray of blood issued from the mane, five more bounty hunters took their dead comrade's place as the fighting continued.

It was intense, Ken was in his semi demon form performing spell after spell, fire roared all around along the screams of the injured, but the enemy paled in strength in comparison to the three but made up for it with their sheer numbers. The wind was starting to pick up. The sand mixed in the air felt like burning coal.

"Do not let up, the price for these three is more than you will make in 10 lifetimes", a bounty hunter called out as the others raised their morals.

Cyer was cutting down one after another leaving a trail of blood, limbs and corpses in his wake.

Kai was preoccupied himself, not good with the sword he was being protected by Ken, but he fought the few injured enemies that got through until Ken would finish them off, Kai was in the process receiving wound after wound.

Just then an enormous shadow passed over head. For a split second it seemed like the dessert sun was blotted out, as though it were night.

Kai and most of the bounty hunters looked up in surprise where as Cyer and Ken took the momentary distractions advantage and wiped out a number of the aggressors.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?" came Ken's voice as he bathed in showers of blood?

"A desert wyvern" Cyer replied in a loud yet calm voice as he slashed and stabbed more of his adversaries.

"A DESERT WHAT?" asked Ken still yelling but with an ounce of quiver in his voice.

"A dessert Wyvern" repeated Cyer in the same tone.

"WHAT THE HELL, HOW IN THE NAME OF THE RUDDY DEVIL DID YOU GUYS MANAGE TO PISS OF A DESSERT WYVERN", Ken shocked looked up at the sky to confirm his fear?

"IF YOU CAN'T SEE I AM A WEE BIT BUSY HERE", Cyer raised his voice to match Ken's. "BESIDES WE DIDN'T AGITATE IT KAI SIMPLY..."

"DAMN IT, YOU DO KNOW THAT FUCKIN THING IS AN S-CLASS" Ken cut Cyer off.

"I KNOW"

"What is an S-Class" Kai asked interrupting the loud conversation.

"It's the type of..." Cyer started.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS CYER, NOW IS HARDLY THE TIME FOR A HISTORY LESSON. Kai, we'll explain it later", Ken said dropping his voice as he spoke to Kai.

The bounty hunters, though shaken were still strong, they started to regroup.

Just then as if an earthquake hit, the ground shook as the huge gray wyvern landed on top of a large group of the bounty hunters crushing them beneath it. The bounty hunters scattered and finally started to withdraw, but in just a moment, after its landing the Wyvern let out an inferno from her mouth, incinerating all that was around it. The remaining bounty hunters ran for their lives accepting the eminent defeat at the hands of the creature's wrath as the wyvern swiped her horned tail crushing even more of the helpless hunters.

They wyvern had its enormous bat like winged claws planted in the sand as she looked for her primary target which she found shortly.

Kai was kneeling by the sword as blood dripped from various wounds that he had been inflicted with. He was out of breath. Ken was nearby still busy with the last bit of the hunters who dared not retreat.

The wyvern with one claw after another made her way towards Kai, crushing the masses of bodies that lay beneath her, some bodies popped as fountains and splashes of blood gushed out.

*ROARRRRRRRRR*

Like thunder followed by an inferno, the wyvern let out a flaming tower aimed at Kai.

Ken barely managed to raise a shield which bought him the second he needed to swipe Kai away. Ken set up shield after shield thickening his barrier but without moments gap the wyvern let out another Roar. This time without the flame but the sound waves were so strong as to blow away the numerous shields in a split second.

The remaining few hunters had already withdrawn. Ken used the sand as a cloak sought cover behind a rock formation.

"WE ARE IN SOME DEEP SHIT HERE!", Ken exclaimed.

"I knew wyverns were at a level to challenge the Gods but to be this powerful" Cyer spoke as he also arrived seeking cover.

"ROARRRRRR..."

The wyvern that had lost sight of her pray let out another ear-piercing roar, crashing her tail, leaving a crater.

"So, what's the plan?" Cyer asked

"The eyes, try targeting them", Kai spoke in a small voice.

"Let's give it a shot" Ken answered.

Leaving Kai behind the cover of rocks and under the cover of many shields both Cyer and Ken launched a frontal attack at the wyvern but even before they were halfway across the distance between them, the Wyvern spotted them.

*BANNNG...*

The horned tail hit Ken square in the chest, who was thrown like a bullet into a particularly large rock, crushing it in the process.

The tail's swipe was followed up with a sonic roar aimed at Cyer who was thrown heavily, almost the same distance but landed on sand, his ears now bleeding.

"Thump, Thump, Thump"

The wyvern drew near.

"Man, that packed a mean punch!", Ken exclaimed getting up, turning his joints to realign the dislocated bones.

"My turn, bitch!" Ken yelled his mouth twisting in a vicious grin.

Ken spread wide his wings and with lightning fast speed approached the wyvern and punched her square in the jaw.

The punch was strong enough to turn her face sideways but just then, the wyvern's eye focused on Ken, Ken could see his form clearly reflected.

"Shit, ... Hahaha, you know, I was just kidding about calling you a bitch...", as Ken smiled.

SNAPPP

The wyvern almost swallowed the demon whole, ken was now in her mouth keeping it from crashing in on him with all his strength.

"Ahmmm, you know I don't taste all that good, raw demon meet will give you a stomach ache you know" Ken said, his arms shaking.

Cyer got up and ran towards the beast.

"Ahhh fuck, me and my big mouth," Ken screamed out as the wyvern inhaled.

Ken pushed the mouth a bit further using tremendous strength and barely managed to get away as the burning tower of fire issued from the beast's mouth.

"You know," Ken said catching his breath hastening to get away, "Burnt to a crisp is not actually considered cooked".

Cyer used great agility and performed a series of jumps getting close enough to strike the eye.

The wyvern quick to respond backed up and with her gigantic winged arms generated a gust of wind throwing both Cyer and the fleeting Ken many yards away without a moments delay.

The wyvern directed another sonic attack at Cyer, who couldn't manage to evade completely but did somehow escape the direct impact of the waves. Meanwhile the horned tail found Ken and struck him like a hammer where he lay, leaving Ken in a crater. Removing her tail, the wyvern threw the barely conscious demon away twisting her body and swiping her claw in the process.

Cyer using the opportunity maneuvered in such a manner so that the wyvern couldn't back away this time from his attack. He threw a kunai (It's kind of a throwing knife) directed at the eye of the wyvern which had just glimpsed at him. The blade raced like a bullet and met its mark with deadly accuracy but, as though it had hit a titanium wall, it fell. The blade did however manage to enrage the already rampaging beast.

*RROOOAAAARRRR. *

The defining roar of the wyvern shook the skies as she spew fire everywhere, banging her tail, causing the earth to shake and flapping her gigantic wings wildly, the wyvern raised a sandstorm.

"Ahh. How nostalgic!! reminds me of home." Ken dazed, got up again. both Cyer and Ken used the cover of the storm to retreat to where Kai was.

"So Cyer, what's the plan now?" Ken asked grinning at Cyer.

Kai had his eyes wide open as his body shook.

"I am sorry Kenviar, I cannot hear you, my ear drums, they are damaged I think." Cyer spoke in his calm voice, looking at Ken, noticing his lips move, his own ears bleeding.

Ken smiled and brought his hands over Cyer's ears and healed him.

"You're no good to me defected," Ken said as he finished.

"I thank you."

"So, as I said earlier, what's the plan? This damned thing is too strong... I could take it on if I entered my full demon form but that would entitle us to so much more trouble that this here will look as though it were child's play."

"Why" Kai asked his voice shaking,

The shield they were in was covered completely by sand. The heat was intense, and the wild roars could be heard.

"Because demons are officially banned from entering this realm as to why that is maybe if we survive this, I will tell you"

Cyer who was quietly listening spoke up,

"How's about a strong magic strike? We are out of Philip's domain"

"No use. Wyverns have great magic defense most likely it will be impervious to most of our magic," Ken replied to his index finger on his chin.

*RRROOOAAARRRR...*. One of the shields shattered.

"Damn it!" Cyer got up.

"Naah, I don't think we have been found just yet."

"Well, how about we tire the thing?"

"That freaking bitch is on a rampage. She could burn down seven cities before tiring."

"Then what choice do we have?"

"Let's try another strike, this time I will try and hit the eye," Ken said dusting his thighs.

"Sure"

"Damn, her tail hurts."

Cyer drew out another sword. With swords in both hands, he began his advance. "Wait for my signal."

"Do you think he will be alright?" Kai asked

"Oh, he was trained by Allen himself so there is hope for him yet. By the way how did you manage to get us into this situation?"

"I really don't know. I had to get a stone from a cave in order to save Cyer's life and somehow it turned out like this.

"I see."

Just then the storm died down, Ken rose up to see what was going on. The wyvern was nowhere to be seen and Cyer stood in the middle of the open sand looking at the sky.

The flapping sound could be heard again, and the wind rose up, the vision still impaired due to the hanging sand. Ken although wasn't troubled, the sky looked as though it were falling and then she descended.

Ken held his breath as he saw the golden yellow eye fixed upon Cyer, The wyvern's slited black pupil glaring at the insect of a man beneath her and then.

*SWIPEEE*

The sound could be heard as her claws ripped the air. She clenched Cyer in her talon-ed leg or she would have if Cyer hadn't reacted at the precise moment.

"Run!" Kai screamed.

"Nope, that thing is the freaking queen of the desert. It's no use running or flying for that matter. I don't think you noticed but she can fly too."

Cyer ran up the leg holding his swords back. Using his blades to hike the beast, he made his way to her torso. The wyvern went up in the air again and in an attempt to shake of Cyer, she performed a barrel roll, roaring all the way. Cyer barely hung on nearing the creature's neck. Unable to shake him off, the wyvern landed again. Cyer aimed a strike at her throat and at the same time signaled Ken.

Without wasting a moment Ken shot forward, his own wings wedged.

Cyer had almost struck when *BANGGG*, a slap from the winged claw, the wyvern as if dusting herself threw Cyer away who fell to the ground like a log, making a small crater on impact. However this gave Ken enough time to make a strike or it would have if the creature hadn't seen it coming, unable to use her winged arms to hinder the demon's advance in time, she countered with a point blank roar of incinerating flames. Due to his own momentum, Ken was unable to dodge and was consumed by the tower of fire, only to fall like a mosquito burnt alive.

The wyvern roared yet again going for the kill, trying to rid herself of these two persistent pests.

"Shit, this is not good ... damn, What the hell am I supposed to do!" Kai groaned as he held his own hair in his fists.

"Want my help?", a sneer of a voice came from inside.

"It seems I have no choice" Kai replied.

"You can always leave them to their fate"

"I want to help them,"

"Hmmm, well apparently you do."

"Well then yes, please help me defeat this wyvern and save my companions."

"Sure, but I play by my rules."

And with that Kai fell down, but in a moment, he was up again. The white in his eyes, now black, and his lips twisted into a grin. Kai tore of his own shirt making room for the majestic black wings. With a gentle swish, he lifted in the air and approached the wyvern who considered the third entity and before she knew it, Kai had his hand over her muzzle, and he spoke in a deep voice.

"Calm down Oh, wrath of the dessert you need not fight."

The wyvern as if in a trance looked up at Kai who stood flying next to her and then recovering herself, she shook her head and opened her jaws preparing to incinerate this one as well.

Kai's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, raising his hand up he flat out, slapped the wyvern right on her muzzle.

"I said, FUCKING calm down!"

With a boom, the delayed effect of Kai's attack came into play. The wyvern headfirst crashed into the earth with a loud thud as if hit by a battering ram.

Surprised she quickly got up, backing up a bit, following up with a roar without a moments delay.

Kai barely evaded the attack, almost catching it head on. The intensity of the attack so much so that the sand underneath it shifted revealing sold rock. Blood trickled down from Kai's ears but he was wearing the same bored expression without a hint of pain.

"Your breath, ugh" He yelled out, meanwhile the Kai inside snickered,

"Wow you sure are proud. It's hurting like hell isn't it."

"Hush up you, it's nothing." Kai spoke aloud.

"Oh well, carry on,"

Kai shook his head and focused again at the surprised beast in front of him. Approaching it rather slowly, the wyvern tried again but this time with fire, similar to the one that had burnt down Ken.

"Fire, that's the best you can do?"

"Hey! That will kill us!!"

"Let me do my thing."

"Oy it's getting closer."

"Shut up already, do I tell you what to do when you are prancing around?

"Dude seriously!"

"I got this"

"Well it's not like I have a choice,"

"Exactly, now please shut up."

Kai smirked, spreading his arms wide at the approaching inferno, as if embracing it, then opening his own mouth he sucked it, the flames as though being funneled, started disappearing. The wyvern was frozen in shock.

"My turn," Kai grinned and with a roar of his own he spewed out the same flames.

The wyvern brought her wings in front of her to shield herself being impervious to the heat, the fire did little damage. The wyvern regaining composure, flew up and, in an instant, swiped at Kai with her tail. Kai griped on to a spike and got swung with it, avoiding the direct impact, the wyvern looked at him hanging on to her tail and snarled, Kai was smiling from ear to ear, as soon as the tail came to a momentary pause Kai placed his palm on it.

"That was fun," He smirked as the ramming attack came into effect. The tail spun so fast that the giant wyvern nearly lost her balance. Continuing without pause, Kai extended his arm towards the heavens,

"Nice try, but time to end this" he said with a serious voice now, and at his command dark clouds began gathering from distant lands, as well as forming in the sky above.

The wyvern now feeling the threat that Kai posed, turned around in an attempt to disengage but Kai caught her by the edge of her tail. A purplish aura around him. The wyvern dived down and slammed her tail on to the earth. The sound of the impact was muffled by the sound of thunder that signaled the start of a storm in the dessert. As the heavy rain poured, Kai who had let go at the last moment, ascended. Something sinister could be felt in the atmosphere that up till then had the elements of rage and fear in it.

Kai kicked down the wyvern, hitting her in the jaw as she sought to rise higher up. The impacts did not do much damage to the beast, but the momentum did follow through especially when paired with the sonic boom. The impact caused her to crash into the earth. Kai raised his hand again and swiftly brought it down over at the fallen beast, at his signal three thunder bolts struck her. The wyvern roared in agony.

Without a moment's pause Kai kicked the beast again, and again with a boom it was thrown yards away. The wyvern whimpered, as Kai approached her.

"NO, don't kill her!!" the Kai within spoke out.

Kai stopped and thought for a while...

"What do you want from it then?"

"Just... just let her live"

"Hmm... fine then", saying this Kai placed his hand over her chest right at the base of her neck.

Fly he commanded her, moving his hand further down the torso.

"What is this? You are not a real wyvern" then continuing without pause "it matters not, you have been defeated, and thus I claim you for my own, and spare your life, let this mark be sign of my rule." Saying that Kai removed his hand, a small circular pattern appeared where his hand had been. Kai backed up to observe his insignia.

"This body is week, Kai." Kai spoke as the rain started to thin out.

"What do you mean it's week?"

"It can't handle my power yet, train it"

"Wha...?"

"I am saying, if I expressed my full power this body would not be able to handle it and would probably implode or explode." Saying that, Kai's wings rolled back and his black eyes regained color as the rain stopped. Now Kai was free falling. The wyvern had covered herself with her wings, shrinking, morphing, transforming. The wings that covered her turned into a cloak as she took the form of a woman, catching the falling Kai in her arms she brought him down gently. Her face had the elements of aggressiveness all over it but was beautiful none the less, her features sand kissed, the slits that were black in her eye became red, similar to Kai's. Her hair were blackish ginger.

Kai opened his eyes, seeing her face he was taken aback.

"Who... Who are you?"

"I am the wyvern that caused you so much trouble, master." The wyvern replied, her accent soft, as she set Kai to the ground.

"B-but you're a woman, not ... that creature"

"I am that creature, master, I merely took this form so that you wouldn't find my presence discomforting but if you don't like this form..." the wyvern was now looking down at herself,

"No, no... you're beautiful..."

"I am glad to hear that, master."

"Listen, can you help my friends over there?"

"They are fine, the demon should be up shortly if he is not faking it right now and the child might be unconscious for a while."

"I see..."

The bleeding from Kai's ears had stopped some time ago and his body had healed. But the blood had stained his ash blonde hair such that now there was a red streak running down the edge.

"Oh, so you caught me, eh" Ken got up seeing his body all healed as well. "So Kai you managed to conquer the wyvern, I must say I am impressed, even if it was that other you."

"The master is stronger than you can imagine demon", the wyvern spat out.

"My name isn't demon you know. It's Kenviar," adding to Kai "Seriously ever since I met you everyone gets to know my name. Before it was like, this is the last thing you will ever hear." Ken spoke the last words in a mockingly grave voice shaking his head.

"You tell everyone yourself, it's not my fault you don't kill them afterwards"

"It is too, I cannot kill without your permission, remember, Master." Ken said the last word sarcastically.

The wyvern spoke to Ken "Kenviar the demon, my name as my previous owner named me is Sapphire and what might be the name of my new master?" She turned to Kai.

"I am Kai."

"Splendid, Master Kai and you may call me whatever you desire"

"Naah, I think Sapphire suits you." The wyvern showed a hint of sadness in her eyes, to which Kai continued, "I will call you Sophie then."

"Wonderful."

"Wait a minute," Ken interjected suddenly alarmed,

"What?" Kai asked surprised at the sudden change of tone.

"You mentioned your previous owner, who is that?"

"My lady is the mistress of chaos, the child of mischief. Do you not know her?" Sophie raised an eyebrow.

"Shit. This is bad. This is really freakin bad." Ken was panicking.

"Wha-what's bad, what happened?"

Just then the sky that had cleared turned a reddish shade.

"What's...What's happening?" Kai inquired alarmed as well.

"What's happening, is that she is coming. Kai whatever you do, do not, I repeat do freaking not offend her."

"Not offend who? Who is coming?"

"My previous mistress" Sophie replied softly.

"Who is your previous mistress...?"

"She is" Sophie said pointing at the setting sun.
