Stood up by Him

Normally, Jennifer Hoechlin had never thrown a party at home. It's a known fact amongst people who have attended most of her parties. Sometimes she gives you the location, sometimes she takes you there herself and today wasn't going to be any different.

Jennifer's idea of the party was emailed to almost every group chat in school and the party was tagged seniors only, no freshmen or sophomores or juniors allowed. She even made a list of all the seniors in highschool on her tablet ready to tick each senior that makes their way into her mansion.

The guards were made to hold the tablet and inspect the list while everyone busily grabbed a seat in the 18 seater bus that she hired to take them to the location.

Only two buses were available at the moment because Jennifer didn't want to put her hopes up that the entire 40 students in senior year would attend. But if it happened that way, the four remaining students would likely be taking a car there.

Literally everyone was psyched about the party. Even Pamela Jones was attending it. Some people might dislike Jennifer and find her annoying but they don't dislike the party she throws.

The girl has got a knack for parties. When Pamela was asked why she dropped her party ideas, she had texted that she was just pulling someone's legs and it's over now so she wants the location of Jennifer's party.

Everyone was told to arrive at 6:30pm and before 7:20pm else the party bus would leave without them and they were told to come in groups so as to avoid bringing too many vehicles to Jennifer's mansion.

Jennifer was busy as hell. There was a reason she never threw parties in the mansion. Her mom and Dad could just show up out of the blue anytime and she didn't want them meeting a mansion full of horny drunk teenagers.

Though it's never happened, it might happen so she takes precautions in case a day like that were to come. Besides, she was so damn rich, she could pay to have her party thrown anywhere with her doing less work.

" Please put that down and just go sit in the bus Gabriella", Jennifer said to one blonde girl from her Spanish class who quickly sighed and put down the expensive vase she had been admiring but she didn't leave without taking a picture.

Jennifer walked straight to the entrance of the mansion and quickly whispered something in one of her body guard's ears and he quickly went to do as he was told.

She walked out of the building and straight towards the buses and observed that one of them was already packed with students who were causing a ruckus inside due to the thrill they were feeling just because of the party.

They chanted her name and she screamed happily at them in return as she went on to check the other bus. The other bus was half filled and students there were much calmer. She guessed the group's had been split, one for the usual party goers and one for the introverts.

She sighed as she got down and then tapped the wireless Bluetooth in her ear. " George I need you to send me an info of the students already in my mansion", she said as the man named George answered copy that on the other side.

He quickly sent the list to her tablet as she went on to give other instructions. It was already seven on the dot and the bus would soon be leaving.

" James please evacuate everyone except my friends from inside the mansion. I repeat, everyone except my friends. I need to know where I stand here because I see a total of thirty two people on the list of people inside this mansion but the people inside both bus in total is twenty seven, tell me where the hell are the others?", she said without taking a breath as she headed straight for the entrance.

She was dressed in a black female suit like a professional assistant with a pair of black stilleto heels. Her Sandy blonde hair was held in a high bun and her light brown eyes seemed to reflect with the evening sky.

Everyone thought she looked enchanting but little did they know she was dressed accordingly for the party. As soon as she reached the entrance, she whispered something in the gate man's ear and he quickly understood. He suddenly told the others to close the gate.

She checked her wrist watch for the time and just then Bella and Miles came out from inside the building. Bella was dressed in black suit with trousers just like hers but with black ankle boots while Miles was just dressed in the usual, a black denim jacket with a white shirt underneath paired with black jeans and cool white sneakers.

His wavy brown hair was done in a ponytail and his dark brown eyes were pretty eye catching.

" Wow Jennifer you seem so busy can I help out?", Bella asked as soon as they got to where Jennifer was and as if Jennifer hadn't taken a deep breath in a while, she just stopped walking and inhaled deeply while Miles and Bella gave funny looks.

After what seemed to be like a two minutes wait, she finally said something. " Thanks Bell dear but I think I can handle this on my own", Jennifer said and scanned through the tablet in her left hand. She touched the wireless Bluetooth in her ear and quickly gave down another order before staring at Miles and Bella.

" So where's Duke, we didn't find him inside the mansion", Miles said observing the huge compound which was nothing in comparison to his family mansion in L.A. He lived in Border town with his grandma simply because he schooled here and was keeping her company.

Sasha immediately joined them also dressed in a black suit paired with black sneakers, she was busy fixing her tie and her jacket was not yet buttoned. Her black hair mixed with the evening sky and she looked young and unrestrained.

" Duke's actually inside. I found him and Riley making out as they got dressed. Soon enough they will be the new hot couple in the entire school", Sasha said chuckling softly as she finished with her tie and went straight for her cufflinks.

After Sasha said that, suddenly, Duke and Riley stepped out of the building as if on cue. No doubt, Duke was dressed like Miles while Riley was dressed in a black sleeveless gown paired with a three inches silver colored heel and a small silver purse.

Her black hair was done in a lose weaving which stayed by her side and her face was done in makeup, she looked so mature. She looked nothing like Duke and it made them both look out of place.

Duke came to stand next to Jennifer who was trying her best not to show how unhappy she was to actually find Riley with Duke.

" Riley, you look different from Duke, let me guess no one bothered to tell her the theme", Sasha pointed out chuckling as she did her buttons.

Bella just walked away checking her phone for any messages from Justin. Soon enough, Jennifer would be asking everyone to get into the bus but he hadn't even arrived. She sent him another text making the texts that she had already sent him, a total of twenty.

She didn't want to admit it but could it actually be that she was getting stood up by him, again?
