The Shadow Syndicate Part 1

The next morning I was woken up by a knock on the door of my room. I got out of bed, took the blade from my bed, and when I opened the door, I saw Yun, who said

-Leader, everyone else is outside the inn waiting for you. To which I said

-Then let's go to them. After I said that, I started walking with Yun to the location where people who are part of my personal guard were. When I arrived in front of the inn near my people, I said,

-Let's go to Scarlet Haven. After I said that, I started walking towards The Scarlet Haven, and people started following me. Like yesterday, before entering the red district, we covered our faces, then we continued walking towards The Scarlet Haven. When we got there, we were greeted by the same guard from the previous evening. After we put our weapons on the weapon stand, we entered and were greeted by the same old man who asked.

-How can I be of service to you today, gentlemen? To which I answered.

-I want to see Madam Crimson. To which he nodded and said

-Then please come with me. And he started walking, to which me and my people started walking behind him. After walking up the stairs, we reached the 6th floor of The Scarlet Haven, and we were greeted by Hye, the woman who is known as Madam Crimson, who brought us into the room where food and drinks were already prepared, and he motioned for us to sit down.

After my people and I sat down at the table, Hye asked me.

-How do you want me to address you from now on? To which I replied.

-I want you to address me as boss; you don't need to know who I am after all. To which she said

-I understand, boss. After hearing this, I started to ask her.

-Do you know where I can find some high-ranking members of The Shadow Syndicate and Shadow Peddlers?

To which she immediately replied that she knew and told me one of the places where one of the high-level members of the Shadow Syndicate usually stays and a shop owned by one of the top members of the Shadow Peddelers. After she told me this, I said

-Now let's talk about what your gang will pay. To which she sighed as a sign that she expected this, and I continued to talk.

-Terms are the same as yesterday: half of your profits, your information, and your cooperation with me and my people. After I said this, she said

-I can currently give you 250 gold coins plus the 10 gold coins you gave yesterday, and tomorrow we will give you more. As for information, please let me know why you think we can help you. While she said this, the old man from earlier came with some bags of money. I signaled to my guards to take them, and I answered her.

-People are usually very talkative, especially when they are in the company of women. To which she replied.

-Yes, then I would like to know what cooperation means. To which I replied.

-I will send my people to this city to get what I need without me having to come. Your cooperation means that you will take care that my people are not hurt or deceived. To which she answers.

-We will do everything we can in this regard, but as you have already realized, we are not really a group of fighters. To which I said

-You don't even have to be; I will make the people from the Shadow Syndicate protect my people after I bring them under my command. which she asked.

-So are you going to do this now? To which I replied.

-Yes. And I continued walking until the entrance, where I took my blade, and started walking with my men first towards the place where the member of The Shadow Syndicate is. After I got there, I saw that there were no more than 3 people in the whole place, 2 of them being employees of the place and one a man in his early 30s with short hair and no beard eating some noodles.

I approached him and took a seat at the table and my guards surrounded the table, once the man saw this he stopped eating and said.

-What do you want? In a tone that seemed to threaten us, but I said it with a smile on my face while releasing all my qi.

-I want you to tell me where your boss is, and if you don't tell me, I'll kill you. While I was saying this, his eyes widened and his teeth clenched because of the pressure that suddenly came on him from the release of my qi.

After a few seconds, he wanted to speak but was interrupted by me, who shot a beam of qi into the nearby wall, making a hole in it, and I said,

-I see you are a martial artist; do you know what a qi ray means? To which he replied with even bigger eyes than before.

-First-rate martial artist. He said this while taking a breath.

After that, our discussion was very productive. He told me that he would take us to where their leader is, and I said to show us the way. After that, he took us to a building in the better part of the city. The building had 3 floors, and there were no people at the entrance guards. When I remembered, we were greeted by a man in his 40s with a muscular body and a white beard but without hair and brown eyes, with a muscular body and a confused expression on his face, he said while looking at me.
