Patrick had a job to do and there was a chance for that now. He had to find reasonable explanations not only to himself, but also to his father, so that he would leave him alone.
“I am glad that we will spend some time together, like in the old days, badass.” He said honestly.
“This time we are not going to destroy or mess with anything.” She replied with sentiment. “Do you have any specific plans, Pat?”
“No, not this time. I had to promise my father that I would take care of you, so there would be no going to extreme lengths this time. Your injury has to heal first before we will do something extreme again.”
“Boring…”
“That’s a need, badass.”
“Still boring.”
“If it wasn't for your injury, you wouldn't even have time for me, not to mention vacation.”
“Fact.” Jo realized it already.
“Let’s have some fun without any crazy adventures.”
“Is that possible in your life?” She tried to joke as she didn’t want to talk about the terrifying reality.
