The Ancient's Origins

The only morals I had were a single rule: I would leave 'her' alone. I would let 'her' live her life without my influence, even though we were once close. Close enough to be... no, that'll be for another time. I lived by that single rule, without caring about what I did to anyone else. I killed, I made people suffer, I forced people into despair. Didn't matter if they were innocent or not, I was just a murder maniac. I enjoyed killing. I still do. I was, no. I am despicable. Only at my deathbed, only then did I regret. Only at my deathbed, when I learned that 'she' died by the hands of someone, who wanted to frame me, was I livid. I used the one thing I mastered from the origin.  [Origin Storm] And with what little strength I had, I tried to trigger it at the same city those responsible were. I failed. I WANTED TO SLAUGHTER THEM. But shortly after that, I collapsed upon a ruin's steps, I saw my former best friend, the one before I... 'turned', so to speak. He only asked one thing before I ultimately died. "Why?" I but simply smiled and closed my eyes. Accepting the warm embrace of death. Then, then I awoke. In the same hospital I was entered in when I was struck by lightning. The same day I changed, for the worst. Then I heard a voice. "Only in despair, did you regret. Only at the loss of your anchor, did you finally go insane. Only for your duty, did you defy death and try to avenge 'her'. By the Authority of the Origin Tree, Yggdrasil, I shall give you a single chance. Why, you might ask. It's simple, boredom and nothing else." Even if I was reborn from the boredom of a higher being, I thanked them. I, Gray Darian, was scum. Hah... maybe I still am. I was hypocritical, selfish, purposefully ignorant, arrogant. And much more. I won't say something cliche like 'I'll change for the better'. The only thing I'll do... is repay the debts I owe. ============================================ Release Schedule (Hopefully): 2-3 Chapters a week, 1 Chapter / 3 Days. 1500 - 2300 words per chapter.

Imposter 《VII》(Revised)

They say eyes are the door to the soul, Gray thought it would be better as a bridge.

It did not matter to Gray for one reason.

Whether it is a door or a bridge.

It is a way to damage the soul.

Thus, Gray had a thought.

He thought that he would be better off without eyes ever since he discovered 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.

As the blade of the bandit's dagger neared his eyes, he realised he could dodge even though he made a rookie mistake.

However, he also realised, it would be a better idea not to.

Thus, the dagger slashed his eyes, blinding him.

The attack hit deep enough to affect his normal sight.

Permanently.

Gray and the bandit backed off from one another.

Gray's senses began to tune themselves to the loss of sight. He looked within his memory and saw the corridor he was in, where he hit the bandit, and where he thought he was now.

The air felt unstable. Gray leaped backwards and stumbled a little before someone grabbed his arm.

"It's me."

"Shit, did he lose his sight? He won't be able to help us now Alicia!"

Gray had never met Marina, but he disliked her immediately.

"I never said I couldn't see."

Gray's words stunned them and the bandits.

The bandits faltered, staying still for a bit of time. Slowly circling them.

(AN: 'If this is a ship controlled by a Pseudo Rank 6, why are they able to infiltrate it so easily?' is what you're thinking. 'Why aren't they already caught?', well, you'll learn soon enough.)

Gray's blinded eyes opened and blood ran out of them. Not because it was bleeding, but because it was being cleaned.

By his lightning.

As soon as they were clean, he attempted something he attempted in his last life.

'EMV'

Electromagnetic Wave Vision using the Spectrum.

The result of the last time was that he was blinded permanently. This time? It didn't matter.

He was already blind after all.

Gray lifted his leg and stomped.

*BANG*

It sounded like a shotgun and left a dent in the floor. The bandits and the two girls waited for something to happen... but nothing did. At least.

Not in their eyes.

Gray sent out a miniature, harmless EMP around the area. Invisible, undetectable to anyone currently there.

Gray opened his eyes and stared. Directly at each of the bandits.

Their expressions morphed into ugly ones, knowing that the battle would be a long one.

Gray simply got into a horse stance, then he moved his right foot back and left forward into a sideways position with his torso facing them. He put his left palm outwards and pulled back his right fist so slowly, it seemed like it was building up for something. And it was. Lightning coursed through his hand's veins, blood, muscles, skin. Everything. Like a coil.

He opened the fist slowly.

"Give me a coin."

Despite the speechless Marina, Alicia knew he wasn't joking. She put a coin in his hand. Which instantly closed around it.

Gray stared directly at the bandits again and charged his fist.

Like releasing an elastic band, his left hand closed into a fist by his side. His right? Jettisoned outwards and opened to an upside down palm.

Without the coin.

A miniature vacuum was formed before being filled.

The silence was then broken.

Not by the sound, no. The beam of blue light came first.

7 of the 12 or so Gray detected were pierced or damaged by the coin directly. 2 were killed and the other 5 were all injured. The shockwave and lightning from the beam burst outwards and pushed the uninjured 5 into the walls, making them lose their breath.

The attack was from the [Railgun Training Technique] that he was using.

[Lightning Railgun: Coiled Spear]

Gray rushed the first bandit before they regained balance nor their stances and immediately pierced his heart with his left that was streaming with lighting.

The smooth, flowing movement shocked the others, allowing Gray to pierce another uninjured's heart, ending them.

One person near instantly killed 4 of them. The other three uninjured launched themselves at him, trying to hinder him before he killed another. So the battle begun and before the bandits reached him, one of them was blocked by Marina while the other by Alicia. Leaving only one for Gray.

(AN: Plot, which fight are we describing? Watching Alicia fight would be fun, but seeing the future !%^#%&# fight would be fun too. Gray fought quite a bit, we can lea-)

\Plot: Describe Gray's fight.\

(AN: ...You did that on purpose. You fucking piece of shit.)

\Plot: Do you like this book?\

(AN: Yes, of course, I love it.)

\Plot: Then I am obviously not shit then am I?\

(AN: ...I'll just start the fight scene now...)

\Plot: Good choice.\

Remembering how he fought against Laine, Gray began to implement new ideas and attacked towards the bandit.

His left leg swept in a crescent kick movement while he swung his right in a mirrored version of it, he cast lightning along his arm and it shot forward, forcing the bandit to bend backwards, allowing Gray to kick his knees.

With the bandit's legs trembling from the kick's full force, Gray launched a roundhouse kick from his right foot to continue the flow.

His foot connected, pushing the bandit to impact against the ground and float, ever so slightly after hitting it.

Gray's left then once again aimed at the bandit, doing a simple kick into his torso. This kick brought an indescribable feeling to Gray, but it was fleeting. Gray ignored at and charged towards the bandit, once reached, he performed an axe kick, destroying his head in an explosion of blood and brain matter before getting launched against the wall from a recovered bandit's attack.

Gray stomped again, sending out another pulse, allowing him to see that there are 5 left. It seemed that after Marina took her opponent out, she helped Alicia.

The fight was now a 3 v 5.

And what did the bandits do?
