During the reign of evil Alpha Hok Tarium, a prophecy was told about a child who would be born into the kingdom. A child who would end the Tarium's reign and his bloodline. Afraid that this prophecy might come to pass, Alpha Tarium kills every infant in the pack but a child was mistakenly spared and saved by an archer who escaped with the baby to the human world. The child was named; Bloyd. When 22 years later, The new Alpha, a descendant of Alpha Tarium; Alpha Alcot, gets mistakenly mated to a girl from the human world, no one has the slightest idea that this was the same child that was saved by an archer and trained as an assassin to take revenge on the Alpha. What would happen when the ruthless Alpha Alcot falls in love with Bloyd, only to find out that his Luna is in fact, an assassin, destined to end his bloodline? Can love prevail and save them from this impending doom?
Bloyd's Pov
He was the most handsome man I had ever set eyes on in my entire life. As I managed to get on my feet, his hard, piercing eyes watched me hawk-style. His eyes were beautiful too even at midnight, although I couldn't decipher if they were the colors of blue or green. My fingers ached to touch and trace down the sharp lines of his gorgeous face but I wasn't stupid enough to do that. I refused to let my eyes expose how taken I was by his facial features. When the reminder that this was Alpha Tarium's descendant crossed my mind, his handsome features didn't seem appealing to me anymore. All of a sudden, I felt disgusted and irritated by his face. The face of a man whose father had committed the worst crime against the gods.
"Brother! Brother!" I turned my head to see Arabella running towards us, her eyes wide with fear. What was she about to do now? Report me to her brother and use this opportunity to get back at me for bullying her?
But I was wrong about Arabella.
"Brother!" She knelt in front of him and clasped her hands together in a plea. "Please forgive me. Please forgive her. It was a terrible mistake, brother. She isn't supposed to be here…"
"Who. Is. She?" Alpha Alcot cut her off, his eyes never leaving me for a second. I didn't try to look away either. Instead, I stared at him dead in the eyes too, imagining how I would shoot my arrow into his heart and send him to reunite with his father in the bottomless pit of hell.
"M…my friend." Arabella glanced at me quickly and looked back at her brother. "She is my friend. She got into the portal by mistake. Please, spare this one time, brother. I promise it won't happen again."
I shifted my eyes to Arabella, a small confused frown wrinkled over my forehead. Did she just try to cover up for me? Was she trying to spare me instead of taking her revenge?
Alpha Alcot did not reply to her immediately. Instead, he still kept his gaze locked to mine, this time with flaring nostrils. He looked…angry now.
"You ruined the most important moment of my life." He hissed at me with so much hate and threat in his tone.
"You ruined my life." I could imagine myself giving him that answer but I kept it to myself instead. I wouldn't want to risk ruining the only chance I had to finish off the Tariums.
"Please, pardon her, brother! Just this once!" Arabella pleaded frantically again and I glanced over at her, suddenly feeling repealed by her actions.
Foolish girl. How could she not even think of getting back at me for all the times I had hurt her? How did a descendant of Tarium become such a weakling?
"Shut the fuck up!" Alpha Alcot sucked in a sharp breath of air through his mouth, looking frustrated by Arabella's pleas. "You do understand that your so-called friend just ruined my moment and got herself mated to me, don't you?"
The gathering gasped as if realizing this for the first time. For me, I had suspected the outcome when I was trapped in the mist and had just confirmed now that my suspicions were right. I had gotten mated to Alpha Alcot. The corners of my lips lifted in a discreet smirk. The gods were working in my favor after all.
Arabella froze for a moment and stared at me wide eyed as if she was just realizing the reality of things for the first time. Who would have thought she was such a slow girl?
"B..but.." she stuttered, trying to say something but Alpha Alcot wouldn't hear a single word from her anymore.
"Seize her! Now!" He ordered his guards and they hurried to do his bidding. As they caught me roughly by the wrist and manhandled me, I set my jaw, trying my best not to lose my cool and send each of them to their early graves. If only they knew who they were messing with.
"Drag her away and throw her in the dungeon for bypassesers like her." He gave them another order, his death stare never leaving me for the fleet of a second. He looked like he could strangle me to death right now if he could.
Too bad, I would be the one who would first strangle him to death and not the other way round. If only he knew the things I had planned for him and his family in my head. If only he knew my 'accidental' fall into the werewolf realm wasn't a coincidence. If only they all knew.
"No! No!" Arabella rushed to her brother, crawling on her knees and holding him tightly by the leg. She looked more terrified than I am when I should have been the one afraid and pleading for my life. I was sure they would all be confused by now to see that I was displaying no sign of remorse nor was I scared of the Alpha.
"Please, don't do this, brother! Please let her go home. We could wipe off her memory or something. Just let her go back home to the human world, brother. Please, you have to listen to me." She begged him but he remained ice cold and refused to give her listening ears.
Sick of watching their little siblings drama, I rolled my eyes rather dramatically at the guards.
"Could you please take me to my dungeon so that I can have my night of sleep? I am tired as fuck. Do you think that perhaps I might be able to get a Starbucks coffee for breakfast tomorrow morning too? I never miss my Starbucks coffee for anything in the world."
A sudden silence fell upon the gathering as everyone stared at me in utmost shock and in a ridiculous manner. I was sure none of them had ever witnessed a prisoner whose life was at risk making such obnoxious requests. Well, I guess I was the first then.
"Starbucks coffee, Bloyd?" Arabella stressed her words with flayed hands as she stared at me shockingly. "Are you insane? You are literally thinking of Starbucks coffee for breakfast in a situation like this? Did you ever think for once that you might never be able to wake up for breakfast after this night?"
"Oh." I mouthed, feigning repentance. Having enough of getting frustrated by my presence, Alpha Alcot shut his eyes briefly as though to control his anger before commanding the guards again;
"Take her away. Tomorrow morning, we'll decide what to do with her" He stared coldly at me with those blue…green eyes of his.
"And if maybe we'll decide to have her pretty head for breakfast to replace her Starbucks coffee."
