Slicing

Seeing the familiar train brought memories flooding back into Akki's mind. He was alone the last time, but now he had a companion. And although he had profited from misfortune, he reminded himself to be more cautious. Aisha was also observing the surroundings with the smartphone. Observing this situation, Akki was reminded of a movie called "Her". He got immersed in the thoughts of helping Aisha reform her body.

Aisha was also immersed in her own thoughts, observing the scenery. Although her civilization's travel was highly advanced than this primitive vehicle they were traveling in, slowness also had its own advantages. It allowed you to really immerse yourself in your own thoughts and appreciate the beauty of nature. It was serene and peaceful.

"Bang, bang, bang" gunshot sounds were suddenly heard. Both Akki and Aisha cursed the universe for interrupting a peaceful moment. Akki also started having second thoughts over the safety of the train journey. But both of them weren't afraid, just annoyed. They were powerful enough to ignore certain situations where ordinary people would be terrified. Akki also noticed that these incidents were happening more and more frequently in his life. 'Is there something bigger at play here?' he thought. They didn't leap into action just yet. They were waiting for them to come to their bogey.

Akki started reviewing his powers. Currently, he had a space attribute power voidblade in his arsenal. The voidblade was ripped space of a triangular shape that emanated from his hand. It functioned like an extremely sharp knife. For him to level up in his space attribute-based abilities, he needed things such as the perception of space, stamina, and time. The next power that he was trying to learn was 'assassin's slice'. It was a long-range power. Through this, he could open a small wormhole connecting himself and the enemy and use a voidblade to slice the enemy. When he first found out about it in his perception through the ring, he was very excited. But the right circumstances were required for him to learn it and start executing it.

Aisha finished hacking and connecting to every phone on the train. Then she used the same echo-location phenomena that she had used earlier with the lion. Gradually a view of every location of the train was revealed. Aisha marked the enemies in red and other things in blue. "Finally, my years of practicing first-person shooter games can be used to good use", Akki exclaimed.

Akki observed that a lone gunman was approaching his bogie. "Time to rock", he said as he went near the passage connecting the 2 bogies. After some time, the gunman entered the bogie. "Everybody stay where you are. Nobody move. And nobody try to be a hero" he shouted. "Here's my cue", Akki giggled. Aisha had already analyzed the body structure of the gunman's body. Akki precisely located the heart of the gunman and pierced it by using a voidblade.

"Aahhh", the gunman screamed. His blood sprayed all over the nearby passengers leaving them mortified. So much happened in a short time that no one was able to make any sense to the situation. First, being threatened at gunpoint and then being exposed to blood and gore gave them the fright of their lives. The old woman who was initially sitting near Akki had a good impression of Akki as a silent and studious kid due to his calm demeanor and spectacles. But now her heart was pounding so wildly that she was at risk of having a heart attack.

Thankfully that didn't happen as Akki soon announced, "My fellow passengers, I wasn't able to sit back when I was being threatened by these heinous terrorists at gunpoint. Thankfully I had training before and thrust a knife into the heart of this vile human being". He tried to sound as heroic as possible. The passengers were stunned for a moment then burst out in applause. They genuinely appreciated the bravery of this unremarkable-looking man.

Akki was monitoring the other terrorists' positions when the walkie-talkie on the dead gunman started sounding, "Everything okay on your side, Alpha". Aisha quickly said that everything is okay in the gunman's voice through the smartphone. Akki started planning further. The other terrorists' guard was lowered now, and it was the best time to strike.

He first familiarized himself with the gun. He had theoretical knowledge of guns but hadn't used them before himself. This was because gun use was regulated in his country, unlike some other countries where even a baby could walk into a mall and purchase a gun. He practiced a little. There was no need to worry about aiming; he had Aisha helping him on that front. He just needed to familiarize himself with recoil. He shot 2-3 bullets outside and gradually got accustomed himself to it.

He then sneaked into the next bogie. There were 2 gunmen here. He couldn't depend upon the voidblade here as it was a short-range attack. But he had the advantage as he had pinpoint accuracy here. And since the train was so loud, the sound of gunfire was masked. The other terrorist would have no idea what was going on. He squatted and gradually entered the bogie. He was excited as it was like the game in real life. Quickly he shot 2 bullets in succession.

With the assistance of Aisha, it was accurate and quick. The gunmen were lying on the ground. The reaction of passengers was the same as before. Silent and mortified. Akki also signaled them to be quiet. They were relieved and assumed him to be law enforcement of some kind. Akki continued reaping lives seamlessly. But after some time, he hit a roadblock.

The next bogie had a total of 10 terrorists. Akki couldn't go bursting in there. He needed a strategy. Suddenly, he had an epiphany. And then he readied himself and waited. After some time, the whole train went dark. This was because the train was passing through a tunnel. During normal times, when the train would pass through a tunnel, people, especially little kids, would scream for fun. But now men were screaming as they were getting slaughtered. Akki followed a hybrid approach here. As he knew where everyone was unable to see anything, he took it as his advantage. He first shot 5 people who were further away. The others were stunned first but then quickly reacted. They started shooting at the direction the bullets were coming from. But Akki had already moved. He sneaked up behind a terrorist and sliced his neck. It was like a hot knife passing through butter. Others were alert, but there was nothing they could do. They couldn't even run fast enough due to the cramped space inside the train. Eventually, the darkness turned into eternal sleep for them.
