Into the jungle

Akki and Aisha were going to take revenge. Akki's ego and morality were struggling. His ego said that he must take revenge now that he could do it, but his morality reminded him that lions were endangered species, and he shouldn't kill them willy nilly. Akki acknowledged that he was being hot-blooded right now. But he had to do it to cope up with the trauma.

He started strategy with Aisha. They soon reached inside the jungle. Dreadful memories starting flooding Akki's memory. But now he was confident in himself. Soon he spotted a deer running at a fast speed. He immediately became alert. Soon enough, a lion appeared in his sight. 'The time is here', he mumbled. Soon he opened his mouth and roared!

Aisha was also excited. The thought of being bested by an insignificant worm was a blow to her ego. "Roar", she heard back from the lion. "Yes, it is the same lion," she analyzed. The lion responding back was probably acceptance of the challenge. Akki and the lion started running towards each other. Aisha turned on the high-frequency sound on the speaker in the backpack. This sound had done a good time distressing the big cat last time, and they were doing everything they could to maximize their advantage.

The lion was bewildered. It slashed Akki using its paw. He was also roaring continuously to drown out this annoying voice. The thought of this ape escaping his clutches earlier was an embarrassment for him. This time he would crush this puny ape under its jaws. He would wash off this stain on his hunting career with the blood of this insignificant herbivore.

Akki and the lion starting fighting. It was a majestic sight of a human battling a lion. But Akki was silently cursing himself. The lion was powerful than he thought. The constant roaring was impeding his ability to concentrate. Akki's stamina had improved, but his physical body was still vulnerable. Even the strongest modern human would be vulnerable to a lion's claws. But Akki wasn't foolish. He was doing just to get a feel of the battle. "Have you scanned them yet?" he shouted.

Aisha finished scanning the major veins and arteries of the lion. They had discussed it before. Any animal would die from blood loss if their blood vessels were cut. Aisha transmitted the data to Akki through the Bluetooth headset that he was wearing. Akki quickly started looking for an opportunity and started voidblade. Snip snip. Splash. Splash. The lion started losing a large amount of blood.

The lion's resistance was getting weaker as it started to feel lightheaded. It was a wild beast and had a very sharp intuition. It was telling him that his time had come. The feeling of regret started to wash over him. It had always dominated everyone by the law of the jungle, but now someone stronger had come for him. It was thinking about its kids. How would they survive without their father? A final slash came for its neck. It stopped breathing.

"Roar", a pained cry came from afar. It was the female mate of the lion. She witnessed everything from a distance. She was heartbroken to see her husband being slaughtered. She couldn't believe that an ape would be able to kill her husband. She started losing her rationality and blindly went forward to have her revenge.

Akki got a little scared. He had exhausted himself. But suddenly, he had to fight another battle. He started catching his breath. As soon as the lioness pounced on him, he slashed her head using voidblade. Surprisingly, the lioness let out a pained roar and collapsed. "Was she sick, or have I become stronger?" Akki said. "She was pregnant", Aisha replied.

"What?" Akki was suddenly filled with remorse and regret. This was supposed to be his triumph over his weakness, but he had inadvertently become the villain robbing children of his parents. Tears started dripping down his face as he couldn't control his emotions. He regretted that he went overboard. Had he stopped when the lion was injured, he wouldn't have had caused such a tragedy.

"Akki, it is the law of the jungle. When we were weaker, we suffered. When this lion was weaker, its whole family suffered. Use this as a lesson. Become stronger", Aisha consoled. Akki also controlled his emotions and started looking forward to the future. "What about the babies?" he said. Aisha told him that it is impossible for them to survive. "Well, there is a way for them to survive. But they wouldn't be truly them."

"What way?" Akki exclaimed. "I could split my soul into six different parts. It would wound me. But it wouldn't be irrecoverable. I have recently discovered a way to connect my soul to carbon-based lifeforms. It should work in theory", she said. Akki was overjoyed. At least he cubs would be alive in some form. "Could I do it too?" He asked.

"Your soul isn't powerful enough for splitting it into six parts. You could theoretically be able to split it into 2 parts right now." Aisha analyzed. It is okay I will take the risk Akki said. Fortunately, there were 4 females and 1 male cub. First, Aisha started the process, and Akki was spectating. This process is a bit like installing an operating system on a blank computer, Aisha explained as she split her soul and started transferring them to the cubs.

Akki followed suit and did the same. The pain while doing it was excruciating. But he gritted his teeth and persisted. After a few hours, the process was complete. Akki could now see and feel anything that the cub was feeling. It was like a second body. But since both the souls were Akki, it was like an extension of his body that could operate independently. "This also provides us with insurance of sorts. If your main body were to die in an unfavorable circumstance, you wouldn't completely. This part of you will remain. And after that, you could look for suitable materials to remake your body." Aisha said.

"Oh, yes, I forgot. Why did you split your soul into 5 parts? Do you want to continue existing in the smartphone now that you have physical bodies?" Akki asked. "Actually, I want to experience human civilization in a human body?" came the reply.

"Let's go to college."
