"Evo, what's up?"

cooking and looking forward to Uncle Eduard's visit when Evo's call caught me off guard. I got a frown when Kaycee rushed over to me and took my phone from me before I could even put it on the table. She moved so quickly that I was surprised for a moment.

"Huh? Your sweetheart wants to talk to you." Kaycee held her hand smoothly and gave me my phone with a bright smile. "Perhaps he misses you,' you should respond."

"What on earth are you talking about?" I looked at the phone because it was calling for my attention. I took a deep breath and picked up the phone, ready to converse with Evo on the other end. I didn't think that another person would be the one to answer the phone and not the owner. It was the voice of a woman with elegance and seriousness in it.
