After drinking all the water from the bottle, Kaycee finally caught my attention. I felt like I was about to fall apart, and my body was shaking from the weight of the intense energy that ran through me. The shock almost broke me apart as I learned to use my abilities. It wasn't a one-time thing because I'd been through something similar before—a troubling memory that came back to me very clearly. The first thing that happened was that I saw with my naive eyes how my beloved parents died tragically when they touched Yumi. Uncle Eduard's hand gently touched my shoulder, which sent a shiver down my spine.

"I'm fine."

"Did you see anything?" Uncle Ed asked. He needed to know the truth about what I had seen. But because I had been through something scary, he had to be patient until I returned to normal.

I nodded my head slightly in agreement. "Yes, Uncle Ed, you're right. Someone did give him an order."
