Chapter no.117 Ashura Eggs

[ Lin Lingtian's POV ]

( ~ Crack ~ )

Feeling the discharges of Heavenly Lightning on my hands .

( ~ Boom ~ )

( ~ Clap ~ )

The sound of the air being torn by bolts of lightning .

Even with my eyes covered , I could sense the entire world around me .

This Ashura World was different from the Tiny World .

Unlike the Tiny World which was covered by an invisible veil of Dark matter which was mostly used by Nightmare type demon beasts like the Shadow Devil , the Ashura World was also covered by a similar veil but this veil was translucent as I could easily perceive it but unlike the veil of Dark matter I couldn't control this veil .

When I finally killed Amity , I could perceive that this veil of the Ashura World picked up the consciousness of Amity and merged it with itself .

Thinking that Amity was now dead , I began to recreate the accident which produced the purified power of madness but something happened a few minutes ago that shocked me and not wanting to lose my concentration , I ignored it as I continued to bombardise Baba Yaga's body with the Heavenly Lightning .

Stopping after the set period of time was over , I checked Baba Yaga's body and no progress was currently made .

( ~ Sigh ~ )

Turning my head to the north , I narrowed my eyes as I felt a presence eerily similar to Amity .

Walking out of the cave , I sensed many small Ashura's hiding around the cave .

It looks like they want to ambush me .

( ~ Snort ~ )

Amused , I began to walk .

( ~ Slissh ~ )

The entire terrain all around Lin Lingtian moved as they were cut into perfectly squared cubes .

The entire terrain had been remodeled into looking like a cheeker's board as the blood of all the Ashura that lay dead decorated the board .

Lin Lingtian picked up a rock and using his thumb he flung it .

The rock looked like it disappeared before the sonic boom occurred .

Lin Lingtian disappeared as he didn't even bother to see what was left of the invisible troll Ashura . Even if he did , Lin Lingtian wouldn't find anything as the entire troll had been vaporised .

[ POV Change ]

North of the cave Lin Lingtian was staying at was an isthmus .

The narrow piece of land was filled with bones of Ashura that were slowly being dissolved . Along with the bones , there will also be pieces of crimson shells .

While inside the body of water , lay millions of eggs made the World itself .

( ~ Crack ~ )

Amity opened his eyes as all the memories of what Lin Lingtian inflicted upon him came to him .

Amity in his foetus-like state looked around him .

He knew that he had successfully entered the cycle of rebirth and as the power of madness swirled around his body , his fangs pierced

through the shell and into the outside

world.

Amity bit down, crushing the eggshell into small pieces.

A small opening was created.

'Light…' Amity was filled with immense hatred as he saw the light . He vowed to himself that he will give Lin Lingtian the most painful death imaginable.

Amity continued to push against the shell,

dismantling the space around the small hole.

After a half a minute of arduous labor, the small hole had expanded to a size that could fit his body.

Amity thought as he launched himself through the hole and into the dangerous outside world.

A sudden wave of light hit his retinas, momentarily blinding him.

After a few seconds, Amity's eyes slowly

adjusted to the light as it began to swim out of the body of water .

Getting out of the body of water , Amity stood there for a while, basking in the hot rays of the sun.

Amity sniffed the air.

Saliva began to fall out of his mouth as his eyes turned red , not being able to fight against his instincts .

Amity slowly took his first steps forward.

While the body was wobbly at first but he gradually adjusted itself.

Slowly hobbling its way towards another egg that laid on the beach .

Amity raised its powerful paw and struck down on the egg, reaching into the egg and pulling out an unborn snake Ashura from the egg.

The Ashura , still surrounded by sticky fluid struggled to get free.

(~ Screech ~ )

The Screams of the unborn Ashura filled

the air.

Amity's teeth rose up into a joyful smile as it stared sadistically at the struggling snake.

In one swift moment, Amity bit through the

head of the Ashura , spraying its fresh red

blood onto the beach.

The headless Ashura's body went limp.

Amity was not the only Ashura feasting.

All around him, Ashura that had hatched

from eggs targeted the Ashura that had

not yet hatched.

Blood spilled onto the sand.

It was a true bloody beach.

Amity sadistically gazed at the others as he absorbed the power of madness from the unborn Ashura . While it may not be much , it still allowed him to increase his strength to that of a silver rank .

Taking one step forward , Amity channeled the power of madness throughout his body as it wanted to charge forward to kill everyone on the beach and then absorb their power of madness .

But suddenly Amity stopped as it felt a familiar presence behind him .

" My friend , to think we would meet again so soon ."

Standing behind Amity was Lin Lingtian who just smiled as fear engulfed Amity's being .

Lin Lingtian stared at the corpse of Baba Yaga . Even though he changed the ratio of the factors to recreate the formation of the purified power of madness yet it was not working at all .

" Y...You...wh...at....a.r.e....y..o..u? " Behind Lin Lingtian Amity was impaled onto the wall as the blood in his body was being collected inside containers .

Placed right below Amity were a few dozen Ashura Eggs .

Lin Lingtian sighed and looked at Amity .

This time he had obtained more information about the Ashura World .

The cultivation system of this place was truly the embodiment of the phrase the strong exploit the weak as an Ashura gains strength by absorbing the blood of its fellow Ashura.

The power of madness flows through the blood of an Ashura , the more blood one absorbs the more power of madness they would have .

But what fascinated Lin Lingtian more was the special cycle of rebirth present in the Ashura World .

After the creatures of the Ashura World died, their souls and the blood of madness that symbolized their origin would be absorbed into the void . They would turn into blood eggs there and hatch into ignorant monsters that would wander aimlessly in the plains of Limbo .

The stronger the beast , the more memories they would retain .

Lin Lingtian couldn't help but think that the system of life in the Tiny World and the Ashura World were exactly opposite from one another .

One system represents the manipulation of the soul to gain strength while the other system represents the absorption of the blood which holds the power of madness which represents the manipulation of the body to gain strength .

Truly the two worlds were opposites to one another .
