Chapter no.101 The Unchangeable Status

[ Lin Lingtian's POV ]

Standing before the monolithic door , I could see intricate space and time runes decorating the entire door frame .

Placing my hand on the center , I channeled my own filtered Heavenly Energy through it as the entire door lit up in such a bright light that it looked like a star had been born just now .

Taking a deep breath , I repeated all the plans I had to forge my own Heavenly Fate Realm in my mind but for all of these plans to occur I needed time . With the Law of Space and Time I could slow down time for myself but with the restriction that I would remain frozen in both mind and body during the state of Temporal delay but where there is a will there is a way as I had found a secret use of the Temporal Vine ever since I acquired the blood of Wuji .

Stepping through the monolithic door , I saw a dark void with just a single painting floating in the middle , the old man called this painting " The Stereo Nile and Blooming Sun Painting " and seeing it in real life I could see the name was spot on . Placing my hand on the painting , the Law of Nothingness instantly eroded the protective inscription array on it as I was sucked into the endless space inside the painting .

I found myself in the painting as the entire world froze in a constant state .

The world depicted a beautiful scenery of a long desert with a single stream in the middle as an orb of light was placed in the sky surrounded by waves of clouds .

This subsidiary realm was extremely weird as I found Heavenly Energy rivaling the Nightmare Demon Pot inside this place .

I floated down to what I perceived as the floor and took out the two temporal pages I had.

Sitting in a lotus position , I knew it was time to begin .

Closing his eyes , Lin Lingtian's mind entered the Anatta Mental State as an astral hand grabbed the two pages and entered into the inner world .

Inside the inner world of Lin Lingtian one could see so many beautiful and majestic things from the starlight tower and the desert palace which were being refined by the law of Nothingness as two Lin Lingtian's clones could be seen floating above the two mysterious structures .

Lin Lingtian's astral form formed in front of the Temporal Vine which was beginning to bloom a flower as a bud had already formed .

Each petal had the outline of a spiralling galaxy as it was truly a sight to behold .

Lin Lingtian's astral form outstretched his hand as the cocoon of darkness containing the soul shard of Ba Xia came near him .

Placing the cocoon near him , Lin Lingtian's astral form then brought out the two Temporal Demon Spirit Book's remnant pages and injected them with his Heavenly Energy. The page turned into a streak of light, floated into the second heart , and merged with the vine.

After that page had gone into the vine, Lin Lingtian's heart was beating wildly as he could sense the space and time freezing around him.

Lin entered a strange, but wonderful, state of mind. He sensed the vine in his soul realm growing larger and larger, like a massive tree reaching towards the sky. It continued to spread its branches, one line after another, as mysterious flowers bloomed in numbers.

Each flower bloomed with flawless cosmic petals. The petals themselves had continuously snowed down.

Their fragrance permeated him, like a spring field filled with fresh flowers.

[ A Temporal Stagnation has enveloped the body . ADDED STATUS : Temporal Stagnation ]

[ Temporal Stagnation : Time will remain stagnant over the mind and body for 40 years ] [ Duration : 1 hour ] ( - )

Lin Lingtian raised an eyebrow as he found the first strange status that he couldn't alter but he didn't care that much as the time of 40 years was enough for him to forge his own path to the Heavenly Fate Realm , increase his own understanding over his own bloodline and maybe refine the soul shard of Ba Xia .

For the last task , Lin Lingtian was skeptical as it was a soul shard of a supreme realm expert even if it couldn't use even 1% of its original power .

Lin Lingtian took a deep breath as his mind began to create its first steps towards his own path .

What Lin Lingtian was doing had not been done even in the Era of Saints ? Would he succeed or not the question remained to be seen .

[ POV Change ]

[ Abyssal Prison Realm - Silver Winged Family ]

Halfway up the mountain as the light began to increase one could see a village . However, what makes this village different from others is that the houses here are built on top of the towering trees. Some places were open platforms, with huge Thunderbird demon beasts quietly standing there.

On the head of the Thunderbirds, there's a crown-like item glowing in the darkness.

The light that shot into the sky must have come from these Thunderbirds.

This place should be a huge village with tens of thousands of residents living here. Furthermore, from the location that he's standing, there are even more lights in the mountains. Seems like the settlements here are not only one.

Some of the grey leather armour guards were holding sharp spears, standing on the branches of some of the huge trees. Not far from his current location, knocking sounds could be heard on top of the mountainside, they seem to be digging something.

"You dare slack off?! You're simply seeking death!" One of the guards spoke in the Woodland Empire's language. He's mercilessly whipping the miners.

Some of the miners couldn't withstand the chores and fell to the ground. The guards seemed to have no compassion and continued whipping them, until one of the miners stopped breathing, he then coldly barked, "Drag him away and clean the area!"

The ore that they are mining is the raw stone of the Blood Crystal!

On the top of a platform stood , a tribal girl wielding a long sword . She looked different from an ordinary human. She has a pair of silver coloured wings growing from her back. These wings are not from merging with a demon spirit, but something that is growing on her body. She's wearing silver armour, and those green eyes of hers were emitting a faint light in the darkness.

She was Sikong Hongyue the daughter of the current patriach of the silverwinged family as she showed a cold expression , for the last few days when Lei Zhuo and Duan jian left with Sikong Jue to the outside world she was extremely suspicious of them .

Suddenly everyone froze as they felt it , a monster was near them . Many of the slaves and guards passed out from fear as Sikong Hongyue tried to move her body but couldn't , her body was too scared of whatever was behind her .

From behind her , a woman of such beauty that Sikong Hongyue couldn't help but gaze in awe at . Every movement the woman did was so elegant as if she was a goddess descended upon the world yet her instincts told her that the woman in front of her was so strong that it made her father who was invincible in her mind look like an ant .

The woman wore a straw hat that had a veil covering her face but the beauty of the woman couldn't be hidden as tribal marks could be somewhat seen decorating her body adding to her unique charm .

The woman smiled at Sikong Hongyue and said ," Do you belong to the Silverwinged family ? "

Sikong Hongyue's body automatically answered with a nod .

" Well , what is your name ? " The woman asked .

" S....Sik....Sikong Hongyue ."

" Well it's nice to meet you Hongyue , my name is Xiao Ning'er . I have some business with your family . May I ask you to conduct a meeting between the Patriarch and I "
