Chapter #75

AN: There won't be much Divine Intervention after Witcher since Merlin and Gabriel have decided to die. Still they can make appearances for jokes I had in store.

While the ladies were indeed enchanting, Zeno was on a mission and didn't let the sight distract him.

<...> Dragon was dumbfounded, this guy managed to control his urges even though he had been flooding him with horny.

[His willpower is being tempered at a frightening range.] System noted.

'...' Zeno decided to sleep with at least one of them just to annoy them.

Anyhow, after a long discussion with the Elder, Zeno learned the reason why they stopped communicating.

Apparently one of them got pregnant from another species. If it got out, it would surely bring them endless troubles.

The whole tribe tried to convince the pregnant Vila to smother the child after it's birth but she managed to give them the slip and ran away.

Eventually Vilas found her trace going to the summit of Mount Gorgon and determined that she won't live long there and die with her child.

Of course all these events apparently happened twenty years ago and they have long since moved on from this particular incident.

"Then why haven't you guys been contacting others?" Zeno asked, he was being fed grapes by younger Vilas.

"We forgot!" The Elder said cutely.

"..." Zeno was dumbfounded.

It was at this time he decided Vilas are too unreliable and the incident is enough to discourage him from sleeping with any of them even if he can control his own fertility.

Still, he stayed the night with them. Singing and dancing, Zeno then accidentally ruined average food for them.

They eventually decided to migrate to skirts of the Blue Mountains right behind Kaer Morhen.

"..." Zeno.

"Well, it is high time we reunited with our cousins. After all, times are changing and we need to band together and share our resources." The Elder said seriously.

"Does your resources also include Witchers who are known to be horny all the time?" Zeno asked, he was holding his forehead with a tired expression.

"Hehehe." The elder giggled.

While the Vilas were getting ready to migrate next Spring, Zeno sat down and thought about the information he had.

Merlin's 'gift' was also in Mount Gorgon, coupled with the information he gathered from Vilas. It was safe to assume the Crossbreed Vila in question is a result of Merlin's machinations.

'I swear Merlin, if she's not happy with her life I am going to find a way to punch your smug face.' Zeno thought to himself.

His guess wasn't farfetched considering the nature of the Witcherverse. There were no happy endings in this world, fairy tales are twisted into horror stories.

That little Vila most likely suffered in these twenty years of her life just because Merlin thought she'd make a good gift for Zeno.

'It just makes it more apparent that I don't have the mindset of an immortal even though I have two thousand years under my belt.' Zeno thought.

Thinking about all the possible depressive scenarios was eating him away, it was no doubt because he already started to see that girl as his and he eventually couldn't stop himself from leaving early.

The Elder bid him farewell with a pout on her face. She didn't know where he was going but she figured she shouldn't stop him for a quickie considering his scowl.

Zeno managed to extract himself from his unreasonable rage while flyin down from the mountains, by the time he reached River Yaruga under cloak he was completely calm.

'Why was I angry in the first place? Merlin is the Creator, he should know what makes me angry and what makes me happy. If this is supposed to be a gift, the Vila in question should be safe and sound and without a mental trauma as well.' Zeno gathered his thoughts.

[Unless it is one of their attempts to make you go through with Ouryuu's memories.] System 'kindly' reminded.

'Fuck you and duel me!' Zeno yelled.

{...} Ouryuu.

Once he was on the merchant's path once more he let out Jean and mounted her. Flying was good and all but Zeno was really uncomfortable with carrying her in him.

"..." Jean started to gallop on instinct but her mind was still back at the illusion she was experiencing.

Only once they arrived at Kagen did she realize what's going on.

Kagen is a small town near the Yaruga, it was here that Ciri stayed with a family of four, who taught her to spin wool and thread.

It was a peaceful town all in all. After a cursory look Zeno determined that there were no suitable jobs for him and kept on moving.

Soon the Amell Mountain Range was in his sights, with Jean's speed it didn't take him long to arrive at the foot of the mountains.

Amell is famous for its jade and jasper mines, as well as its white marble, of which many elven sculptures were made.

Within Amell there are many passes that connect Toussaint with the North and South. Considering all of this Zeno expected the area given to him by Gabriel to be rich as well

Mount Gorgon, also known as Devil Mountain is the highest peak in the Amell Range, said to be covered with fog most of the time, probably snow as well considering the height.

The elven cemetery of Tir ná Béa Arainne, which was shown to Geralt by Avallac'h while he was going after Ciri also situated in this mountain.

Due to Zeno's path, he never actually entered Toussaint, which was a blessing in disguise since he didn't know how he would react if some random Murder Hobo Knight suddenly came and said "Pon my words I shall slay this beast." Before rushing to his death.

Once they reached the hills of Mount Gorgon, Zeno decided to fly the rest of the way. Jean, who was semi-traumatized by him, refused to tag along and stubbornly told him she'd catch up.

Zeno actually sighed in relief since he didn't want to carry Jean again, he looked around to see whether there was anyone watching before he took out an acorn.

Zeno didn't have Chakra, he naturally couldn't use Summoning Jutsu to recall Ao. Still the Squirrels didn't get to the top of the food chain by sitting down on their fluffy tails.

So they came up with all sorts of methods of summoning. Zeno drew a pentagram inside a circle on the soil before he infused the acorn with his Karmic Virtue and threw it inside the circle.

The acorn spewed out currents of electricity before space time ripped apart revealing a small portal. From inside Ao came out with an hopeful expression.

"Boss, I thought you'd never call me back! Save me from these overworking lunatics!" Ao jumped at his shoulder before balefully glaring at the portal.

Zeno wordlessly dismantled the circle, it was pretty easy for the common folk to mistake it for Demon Summoning spells and he didn't need that kind of attention.

"I need information about the crossbreed living on Mount Gorgon but nothing personal since I plan to meet her myself." Zeno said, ignoring Ao's relieved sigh seeing the portal closing.

"Oh yeah, Unicorns told me about something like that. What was it... Oh right! A group of people is going to try to rap her in like two hours..." Ao said, his voice getting smaller and going silent at the end.

"..." Zeno.

{I want to punch Merlin so much...} Ouryuu said.

<Ah hell nah! Ain't no useless bitch touching my loli!> Dragon roared.(AN: He is truly the voice of a generation, I won't miss him when he goes away.)

He was really furious since Zeno's eyes turned red and he immediately flew straight to the peaks of Mount Gorgon.

Jean looked at Ao who had fallen on the ground with pity before she started to gallop to catch up with Zeno.

Ao glared at her before snorting and taking out a three pronged kunai, one could see a seal in the shape of an acorn on the hilt of it.

"Thankfully I put a Flying Squirrel seal on Zeno beforehand. Still I don't understand. What is so terrifying about Rap Music that Zeno went off the rails?" Ao muttered before he teleported to Zeno.
