Mathilda
I am being awoken by the sound of the loud crashing of things, and for a moment it feels like an earthquake is going on.
Pausing for a split moment, I narrow my eyes in their sockets because it seems as though I am in another world.
Screams, sounds of bottles being smashed against a wall, and curses.
What possibly can be happening at the Nolan's mansion? Is someone getting tortured over something?
I stumble out of bed because something strange is actually going on in the Nolan's mansion. What could that possibly be?
Fear is rapidly creeping through every of my insides. The urge to run far away from this place is overwhelming. I swallow down the huge lump stuck within my throat.
After I had taken the painkillers, I drifted into a deep sleep and wouldn't have woken up if it weren't for the noise. The time reads 1:23 AM on the huge clock hung on the wall. Which means I have slept for over seven hours. Something which is the cause of my brain getting stressed from overthinking.
This is my first night of being married, and my first night at Alpha Cahill's mansion, yet it seems like I am in a lion's den.
The noises don't stop and aren't even close to stopping because the people carrying out such destruction are still too enraged.
Barefooted, I walk out of my room, down to the hallway, with not the slightest idea of where I am headed to. But tracing the direction with the continuous sound of things getting destroyed.
There's no one around, possibly all the servants have retired to their quarters.
Can it be an intruder breaking in? Surely the person cannot get past the powerful-looking guards outside.
Or is it Brandon? My heart takes a leap so high that I nearly faint from fear merged together with the anticipation of seeing him.
But it's not him. I can feel it within my wolf that the person out there isn't Brandon. Because he'd come looking for me if he broke in, rather than damaging things.
I should be asleep by now, but I cannot. Whatever it may be, has completely erased sleep from my eyes.
My heart is still thudding painfully in my chest from fear of what I might see. There aren't any demons or evil witches in here right? The mansion isn't haunted by the ghosts of innocent souls Alpha Cahill has taken or is it?
I find my way into the large living room, where I get stunned in return when I see an enraged Alpha Cahill clad in all black, throwing objects in the air.
He seems so furious like he wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone if seen. The walls have bloodied stains of punches, but Cahill isn't bleeding. It's obvious he's punched the walls until his fists bled, but the bruises he sustained are completely healed.
My mouth parts in horror, because this is the last thing I expect. Not even a single soul is out here, except me and him. And he hasn't even seen me yet.
I can feel my heart pounding with full force like it wants to burst right out from my chest.
A gasp of horror leaves my mouth when he immediately shifts into his wolf, takes a high leap towards the chandelier, and pulls it down, shattering it into pieces.
I cannot believe this is actually happening, it feels like a movie. Because I have never seen a man this upset.
I have three brothers whom I have seen mad, but not to this extent. Can it be that Alpha Cahill is bipolar? He indeed possesses a monstrous nature, and now I can see that Genova did herself well by running away.
Cahill's wolf is and black mighty, and its eyes of it are completely red, giving out that he's a true Alpha.
A true Alpha who can kill me within seconds if he sees me standing here, watching him as invests his anger into causing damage.
I am terrified because his wolf looks so angry, completely furious.
And there's not one person in here. Not even Simone, his Beta.
My legs are shivering violently out of fear and nervousness. Because Alpha Cahill seems completely dangerous right now, and I don't know why he seems this mad.
It seems like I have a bit of ill-stinking luck because I have to experience the worst scenes.
Cahill's wolf lets out a loud growl which can awaken a drunken man from a deep sleep.
This makes goosebumps arise on my every single pore, and I try to hide, but it's already too late.
Alpha Cahill's wolf has already seen me, and before I can run away, he takes fast gallops towards me and pins me against the wall, with his fours on the wall, arresting me.
I am trembling so hard that I don't even bother to hide it. He can choose to kill me right now and no one can do anything about it. My family will only weep and then move on with their lives a few weeks later.
My mouth parts and sharp breaths flow out because my husband's wolf is glaring so hard at me with his fangs visible like I am an enemy.
There are broken vases and several pieces of broken liquor bottles, shattered paintings, destroyed lamps, some chairs, and cushions are ripped into pieces, giving out that it's the wolf of Alpha Cahill who has done such damage.
"Let me go..." I implore, the slight tremble in my voice giving out how shaken I am, "please," I add with a fearful gulp that I am sure I can taste bile.
Alpha Cahill's wolf turns his head sideways, and I can see something like concern flash through his eyes and disappear as fast as it arrived.
My bottom lip trembles as I bite down on it, as I fearfully wait for his next action.
He surprises me by shifting back into his human form, with hands still on the wall, leaving me completely trapped.
