The Empire and leaving Vermillion City

"Or maybe if you want, you can train your Beldum first in the psychic house in Saffron City. Coincidentally, your father knows the owner of the Psychic House," Mother Vanessa said.

'Psychic house?' Jun thought, then nodded to his mother.

"Then let Aunt take you to Saffron City. You only have a week left before school starts." his aunt suggested.

Jun thought for a while then agreed. He is still an 11-year-old boy. In this world, pokemon atrainer basically get their first Pokemon between 11 years old and allowed to start their journey alone when they are 16 years old after they graduated from middle-high school

This would be his first experience of leaving the house and exploring the world of Pokemon. Even though Vermillion City and Saffron City are not far apart, at least he can get to know this world more.

The place where Jun currently lives is called Vermillion City, which is located in the Kanto region under the Emerald Empire. In this world, there are four well-known empires.

1st -> Emerald Empire, which governs the regions of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn.

2nd -> Diamond Empire, which governs the Sinnoh region and the Orange Archipelago.

3rd -> Unova region, an independent region that does not fall under the governance of any empire.

4th -> Sun Moon Empire, which governs the regions of Kalos and Alola.

Jun's family originally comes from the Hoenn region, but due to his grandfather's assignment to the northern Kanto region, all members of the family moved to Kanto together except his grandma. Now, he and his family live in Vermillion City because of its unique sea fragrance, and also because it serves as a popular sea port for ships such as the S.S. Anne.

Unlike where he lives, his grandpa and grandma live in different places. His grandpa is a Marquis of Northern Kanto who is responsible for guarding Cerulean Cave and Mt. Moon. Due to this, his grandpa does not live in Vermilion City but instead in Cerulean City. His grandma, on the other hand, is a Pokemon expert who holds the title of associate professor in the Hoenn region. Because of this, she cannot move to the Kanto region.

Jun has already graduated from elementary school and is ready to enter the middle-high school period. Since the school is in Saffron City, he thinks that maybe he can move there directly so he won't be far from the school and it won't be too much of a hassle for him.

'Hmm... maybe I can move to my aunt's house then? But my father's gym is here,' he thought.

"What is it, Jun?" Aunt Mia asked, seeing Jun in a daze.

Jun shook his head, "Nothing, Aunt. Then when can we leave for Saffron City?"

His aunt looked at her watch, "Let's go in two hours. I need to wake up and prepare Yuna first," his aunt answered.

"Okay then," Jun said and continued his training with Eevee and Beldum. He thought maybe he could check out Saffron City first. If he liked it, he would ask to move to his aunt's house later.

For the next two hours, Jun trained both Eevee and Beldum. For Eevee, Jun prepared a weight training regimen to strengthen its legs and tail, as recommended. For Beldum, Jun instructed it to use tackle and slammed it into a moving target.

For a Pokemon, there are many ways to improve it beyond just fighting and training. Bonding can strengthen the friendship between the trainer and the Pokemon, socialization can help with personality growth, grooming can improve appearance, and enrichment can develop their intellect. But the most important factor is nutrition. With a balanced diet and the right nutrients, Pokémon can develop faster and become stronger.

Jun's first plan for Beldum was combat training. He believed that combat was the most dangerous but also the fastest way to grow, especially in life-and-death battles where the spirit, will, and soul are highly concentrated. Pokemon can become tempered in such situations. So the first thing is, Eevee vs Beldum they will engage in a frienly match first.

Two hours later

Jun, are you ready? Have you made sure that nothing is left behind?" Aunt Mia asked

"En" Jun nodded and looked at his cousin Yuna.

She was sitting on the couch, looking rather disgruntled with her eyes a little red from holding back tears. As she sniffled, it could be seen that her snot was clinging to her nose. Jun took out a tissue and cleaned out the little bit of snot from her nose, then patted her head to comfort her.

"Alright, it's only Saffron City. It's not like we will be traveling far away, right? Plus, we will only pass through Route 6, which can be a bit dangerous," Jun coaxed her.

"Audino, please look after her. Don't let her run around," Aunt Mia asked Audino.

"A~dinuu!" Audino nodded

Aunt Mia then released her Altaria as a flying mount for her and Jun. Both of them mounted Altaria and flew towards Route 6. Yuna, looking at them leave, pouted even more.

Mother Vanessa looked at this amusedly, lifted Yuna to hug her, and flicked her nose. "Alright, since they already left, then it's only the two of us. Do you want to help Aunt in the backyard gardening? There will be many little Pokemon for you to play with."

Yuna's expression changed 180 degrees, her eyes lit up, and she clenched her palms before nodding hard, making Vanessa smile.
