He teaches Buern, Harry and Josec the art of 'improvisation' though Buern and Estelle already have some level of mastery over this art. By absorbing a fraction of another element different from one's elemental affinity through the use of joki and through the process of assimilation and equipping, he teaches Buern, Harry, Estelle and Josec to utilize elements different from their natural elemental affinities.

The Power Of Many to counter the force of a single insurmountable obstacle:

By trapping Josec, Harry, Estelle and Buern in his cavern after purifying the mythril ore within the cavern, he teaches the students to rely on one another. The mythril ore served as an unbreakable wall which could only be melted under extreme heat. Buern has an affinity for water, Josec, for lightning, Harry for wind, and Estelle for flame. To be able to break out of the cavern, they had to attune their affinities to those that could generate flame and amplify flame. The affinities in question were flame and wind. By utilizing these two affinities, the students were able to break out of the cavern by melting the walls.

Rune Knight Version Silver:

When Fencer equips the Silver Version of his Rune Knight Psychorage, he can flow his joki into his sword transforming his sword from a normal blade into a decapitating blade. He can transform his sword into eight times its normal size. At eight times the normal size of his sword, a single swing can create large crevices altering the terrain of the landscape.

Rune Knight Version Gold:

Rune Knight Version Gold contains all the abilities of the Silver Version as well as the ability to warp space. Fencer used this technique to attack Innovain from the front while flying in the opposite direction, a technique he refers to as 'See you around the corner'.

Rune Knight Regalia Mode:

This mode contains all the abilities of the Silver and Gold Versions as well as the ability to allow Fencer to share his mysterious library with his allies through Emma Colette's Psychorage ability.
