Steal my Boy

When Beomgyu got abducted, everyone and their mother were in total panic. The whole city did a search and rescue for a whole week with countless volunteers yet no one ever found even the slightest trace of him. Choi Beomgyu is a 21 year old campus crush who have been within minds at least once by any type of gender in the Capital’s largest Conservatory. Tall, honey-skinned and extremely handsome, this extroverted yet hopelessly romantic and funny individual is the talk of the town ever since he transferred to the Music school after losing interest on the course his parents wanted for him. Everything went smooth for a while, until he attracted the attention of the person who will make him question his life’s decision. Note: Only the main characters descriptions are made to be realistic but the plot, events, places etc. are all fiction. The story would look confusing at first but I’ll reveal answers as chapters go by. Thank you for your patience.

Let bygones be bygones

Cass's pov

I woke up in a pitch black open space and no matter how hard I squint my eyes, I couldn't see nor smell a thing.

The lack of sounds is starting to give me creeps but I couldn't do anything about it.

"Hello?" I called but my own voice just echoed in a distance. The eerie feeling I have inside didn't stop me from taking a step forward, however, no matter how long I've walked since I started, I haven't seen nor heard anyone else roaming around.

The deafening silence is maddening and my temples began aching. I stopped to take a rest, even though I don't feel tired at all. It's more like it's exhausting to keep myself from floating kind of feeling.

I was still busy massaging my head when I suddenly heard some distinct voices from the direction to my right side and decided to check it out.

"Go there and don't be shy. My boy is nice." I heard Beomgyu's father's voice but I couldn't see his face from the left side, just his lower body in a hazy environment.

"Go on Cassandra." My dad spoke on his right, encouraging the little girl in a white, sleeveless, knee-length dress to approach the slender boy wearing a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, playing a ukulele under a sturdy tree in the wide backyard. "You will be living here for awhile so you have to make friends with him."

I gasped at my own younger self as she reluctantly walked towards the grade school boy.

"Am I dreaming?" I asked myself and looked back to greet my own father but the two men standing there seconds ago just disappeared into thin air.

The darkness still lingers behind me even though the other side is full of vibrant colors and warmth that's being gate-kept in a small part of the dimension I was in.

I sighed deeply and proceeded to eavesdrop on the children's conversation.

"Hello, may I sit next to you?" My younger self said and smiled softly.

"Yes of course." Beomgyu's bored face lit up.

I can't believe I almost forgot how he looks like around this time. Probably because our friendship was short lived and I mostly paid attention to his small hands holding different musical instruments.

"Did you enjoy it?" He asked curiously after he played a nursery rhyme.

"Yes."

"What's your name?"

"Cassandra."

"That's a long name." Beomgyu complained and stared at her, thick eyebrows frowning. The girl on the other hand was looking at the sandwiches inside the picnic basket in front of him, laying over a smooth, green mat.

Which reminds me that I was at the middle of a fasting my father was teaching his kids, so that we'll be able to survive longer once we end up in a bad situation.

"Cass. I'll call you Cass instead. Is it okay?"

The girl just nodded and smiled awkwardly before asking for a piece of his bread, which he happily offered to her along with the whole basket.

That was the first time I met Beomgyu and I instantly liked him as a person even without the romantic side of the word.

I've never been friends with anyone and partly because my life is always in danger so I can't really trust anyone else besides my brothers.

However, our families had no problems against each other, not that I know of, but still at the very least, the dark side of the relationship between our clans never manifested for a few years as if it was nonexistent.

Or so I thought.

It happened at his 15th birthday.

It was a pool party and all of his classmates are invited. That was the first time I ever met and dealt such huge crowd.

He was such a social butterfly that despite the countless teens calling and greeting him in every corner of the hotel they own in this city, he never loses energy to make them feel welcomed, whether they carry gifts or not.

I, on the other hand was reluctant to leave the car because I messed up on my last job and got my hair burnt short.

The barber managed to save my pride but I'm very anxious at how Beomgyu will react, especially when he had been vocal about how much he loves my untreated long hair.

"Don't worry, I bet Beomgyu won't even notice because he'd be too busy over that horde of guests he invited."

He tapped my shoulder and gave me enough courage to step out of the car, even if my pair of checkered grey suits doesn't match the bright theme.

"He's head over heels on you." He grinned and his deep dimples carved his smooth, creamy cheeks. "Trust me, he won't even realize if you put that hat on."

"But this is a pool party…"

"Just tell him you didn't receive the memo."

I was about to retort when his phone vibrated at his back pocket, in which he answered almost instantly and ended up leaving me alone on the street in a hurry.

And looking back to this fated day, I really wished he never had.

To be continued…
