"Once again!"
"Jerry, you need to smile!"
"Again!"
As the rehearsal continued, it became apparent that Jerry was not performing up to par. Whether it was forgetting his lines or delivering them with no emotion, his lackluster effort frustrated Mr. Carter.
Jerry stumbled through his dialogue, often pausing mid-sentence or completely missing his cues. His lack of preparation and disinterested demeanor began to grate on Mr. Carter's patience.
"Jerry, we've been over this multiple times," Mr. Carter interjected, his voice tinged with irritation.
"You need to focus and give it your best. This lackadaisical attitude won't cut it. We're wasting valuable time."
Jerry shrugged indifferently. "I'll get it right during the actual shoot. Rehearsals are just practice, right?"
