"You can say that," Aunt Hayi said. "Right now, Wook is neither human nor ghost. I already told you that, didn't I?"

"Yes, Auntie."

"Did I also say why Wook is attracting the ghouls called Savages?"

"You said it's because of his scent, Auntie."

"Correct," her aunt said. "But I didn't tell you Wook smells good to the Savages because evil entities like the ghouls see Wook as an unlimited supply of food."

"Unlimited supply of food? But why?"

"Because Wook heals fast," Aunt Hayi said seriously. "Even if the ghouls tear him apart and feast on him, his limbs would grow back again and again. Hence, the Savages could eat him as much as they could– no matter how many times they wanted."

She covered her mouth when she gasped. "That's so cruel…"
