"Did you just call yourself my husband or am I starting to hear things?" Emerald asked with a look of disbelief on her face.

She didn't want to believe what she just heard but she couldn't deny that he just referred to himself as her husband and there was no doubt about it. Not only did he mention that he was her husband, but he also called her sweetie and that would be the first time that Emerald would ever hear him say such a thing to her.

"I'm actually surprised that you look so surprised, Emerald. I mean, last I remember, you and I are currently legally married so I see no reason why you should be so taken aback by the fact that I called myself your husband," Brian replied.
