Chapter Thirty Eight — Unpleasant Meeting

Two Weeks Later

It's been over two weeks since I passed out in front of the reporters and I had honestly expected the whole news to die down by now but surprisingly, I was still a topic of conversation.

There were so many ridiculous rumors that speculated that I was pregnant and some even said that I pretended to pass out because I didn't want to answer the question that the reporter asked. They claimed that they may be an iota of truth, referring to how my marriage to Brian could be a facade and I faked it to get out of the question.

At first, everything that they were saying was getting to me and I found it all very upsetting and irritating but now that this has been going on for over two weeks, I just couldn't allow myself to be bothered any longer.

When I had a conversation with Brian about it, he had specifically told me not to allow myself to get riled up by them because if I do, it's only going to get worse from here.
