THE DAUGHTER OF THE LU'S

Handling her with so much care in his arms as if she was a fragile vase that may just shatter into pieces with just a single mistake.

He hasn't done this before, it was so new to him to the extent that he felt weird. It was an entirely strange feeling holding a young and fragile girl in his arms, so close at that.

But he had to admit it was not as repulsive as he felt with others, why? he doesn't know either.

Axel could barely contain his laughter as he watched Ethan being extra careful like he was dealing with a crate of eggs.

"Bro take it easy, she won't break you know," Axel said with resonating laughter.

Ethan ignored him, he continued his steps to the parking lot, without replying to Axel's tease.

With kamlyn still in his arm, he would not be able to get the door open. He motioned for Axel to open the door to the back seat, which he did.

"Bro I will drive." Axel stated all of a sudden making Ethan turn his gaze to him.

"And why is that?" Ethan asked not getting his point.

"Ahhh Bro, you will need to seat in the back with her so her head can be placed on your lap to keep her balance from all the bumps on the road." Axel explained with a loud sigh.

"Don't worry about that, you can seat behind I will drive." Ethan announced while taking the keys away from Axel.

"Are you sure bro?" Axel said with that smirk of his that hasn't been seen for a while now.

Witnessing this, Ethan immediately recalled his younger brother's personality, especially around women. He instantly threw the keys toward him. "Here, drive." He said before placing her in the car, after that he got it in.

He gently lifted her head up, still staring like he doesn't know what to do with her. This felt awkward, way too awkward.

"Bro get in will you." Axel said while fumbling with the keys in his hands.

Ethan quietly released his breath, before going in and placing her head slowly on one of his laps, leaving the other one free. This wasn't part of coming here. His mind echoed out.

Axel quickly rushed to the driver's seat, he banged the door loud when he got in. interrupting the silence of the car. He chuckled when he received a warning glare from Ethan. "She won't wake up now, didn't you hear the doctor's words. She is on a drug for an hour time, chill bro." Axel explained not minding Ethan's glare.

"Drive." Ethan instructed. Axel immediately started the engine before driving out of the hospital. The car returned to its quiet state, Ethan leaned back with his eyes closed, while cradling kamlyn's head with his hand. Enjoying the calmness silently.

But too bad Axel can't just leave it that way, he had to say something or he might die of boredom.

"Bro? how do you…see our little sister?" Axel muttered his thoughts out.

"Little sister?" Ethan asked little bit confused.

"Yes Little sister, the girl on your lap right now is our little sis. Have you forgotten that?"

He almost forgot about that. She had been legally adopted by the Lu's now, making her the daughter of the lu's, also his younger sister. That didn't get imprinted in his mind yet.

Slowly he brought his gaze down to her pale white face. Her hair was obstructing his beautiful view. He swayed it sideways with extreme care to be able to see her face more clearly. 'Little sister!' really? he didn't know why but that didn't sit well with him.

He felt like running his hands on her smooth pale face, tracing her features with his fingers to experience how it would feel grazing his skin against hers. But he managed to control himself before looking away from her to distract his thoughts from going haywire.

Honestly, he did not know what was wrong with him, He pinched the space in between his brows while releasing an inaudible and confused breath.

Suddenly the car swerved forward, making them sway a little. "What happen?" Ethan asked Axel who was in charge of the wheel.

"Sorry bro, I didn't see the bump earlier." Axel said apologetically.

"Be care…" Ethan had no time to complete his statement as kamlyn had rolled completely on his lap while holding on to his waist still in her unconscious state, it seemed the mini incident affected her. His breath immediately hitched as he felt her rollover on his laps.

"Are you okay bro?" Axel inquired with a little concern evident in his tone as he heard Ethan's breath.

"it's fine." Ethan responded. He released another breath for the umpteenth time now. This is going to be a very long ride, and that he knew for sure.
