Utter silence was all that remained after Ethan's statement.

"Alright can you describe this problem of yours, I'm pretty curious now." Morris said.

"I have got a sister." Ethan replied after sighing out loudly.

"What? I don't get you." Morris answered in his confused state.

"You've already heard the news about my uncle and aunt by now, right?" Ethan asked.

"Yeah, I did bro sorry about that. I thought that must be the reason you are this way." Morris replied.

"Yeah that's part of it, It was hard to come to terms with, I still can't believe it." Ethan said with a downcasted expression.

"I'm sure you must have heard about their daughter." Ethan continued.

"Mmmm kamlyn yang right?" Morris replied not quite sure.

"Yeah." Ethan affirmed.

"I have heard of her but not actually seen her." Morris continued after Ethan's statement.

"She has been adopted by my mom and dad." Ethan said.

"What? This is a joke, right?" Morris insinuated as he couldn't believe his ears.

Ethan glanced at him before turning away.

"So technically she is your younger sister now right?" Morris questioned still not being able to believe what he just heard. But come to think of it, he is talking to Ethan Lu and Ethan Lu doesn't joke.

Ethan just nodded slowly to Morris's query as he gulped his drink.

"What about that brother of yours how is he taking this?" Morris asked again.

"Not bad actually like he doesn't even care about it, he is cool with it," Ethan replied.

"So then why does it have to bother you?" Morris questioned.

Ethan glanced at him before replying. "I don't remember saying that was bothering, it was all your assumption." Ethan replied.

"Ohhh so what really brought you here then?" Morris asked again not being able to believe his thoughts so he needed confirmation.

"I said I just needed to get some drinks, it was a tiring day today. Or can't I have a drink with my best friend without having a problem to talk about?" Ethan asked with a smirk after dropping his glass down.

"Not what I meant though, anyway forget about that, so… this new sister of yours how about you introduce us huh?" Morris included with a playful smirk on his lips.

"Don't even think about it," Ethan stated as he directed a deathly glare toward him.

"Ooh Someone is already overprotective huh!" Axel muttered with a laugh.

"Quit it Morris I am not in the mood for that right now." Ethan replied to Morris's tease.

"Come on man! chillax let's just enjoy the drink. That's what you wanted right? come on let's drink up." Morris said while clinking his glass with Ethan's.

After some minutes passed, her eyes seems to flutter meaning she is starting to gain consciousness.

Finally, she was awake. She quickly looked around as she wanted to know where she was.

But surprisingly she was in the Lu mansion. She remembered vividly that she attempted suicide by slitting her wrist, then how did she end up here, she wondered.

She quickly looked at her wrist and she saw a bandage wrapped around it, indicating the wound has been treated and she was fine now. She sighed in despair.

The door was clicked open quickly catching her attention.

It was Axel who walked in. He made his way closer to her bed.

Kamlyn mentally thought of what could be the reason why he would be here.

"Hi there." Axel said waving his hands at her with a smile on his face. "I see you are awake already, I decided to come check up on you so you won't do anything stupid again." Axel continued.

He received no answer from her as she sat still peering at him, neither did her expression falter. She was still as depressed as she was.

"Look, it's alright I understand how you feel too. Uncle and aunt were special to bro and I, it.... it hurts us as well okay. You are not alone in this okay, you have got us." Axel muttered calmly while trying hard not to give in to his grief in front of her.

Her tears started streaming down her face, but not a single sound was heard. She silently cried out. She looked so pitiful, so that Axel was confused about how to soothe her.

He stood immovable not sure of what to do.

Every single drop of her tears was so painful to the heart as it fell with no retrains.

At this moment Elina walked in, Upon seeing the scene that greeted her, she rushed over taking kamlyn into her arms and rubbing on her back to soothe her.

She threw an accusing glare at Axel. But he immediately shook his head negatively denying her thoughts.

She glance back at kamlyn. She felt pity for the girl. She hopes she calm down. But unfortunately, her cries don't seem to die down any minute now.
