HANDING OVER THE YANG CORPORATION

The room was as silent as a cemetery. No sound was heard except that of the machine reading the vitals of the motionless body laying silently on the hospital bed.

The noise from the machine seems to have pulled the young girl out of her sleep. With every beep of the noise, She slowly stirred awake.

Flickering her gaze, she slowly adjusted to the bright glint coming in from the window. She peered her gaze round her besiege. The whole room was unfamiliar to her, she realized that she was in an emergency ward.

Recalling what brought her here, she let out with a pained smile with unshed tears swirling in her eyes. She felt more depressed coming to terms with reality.

But she had no choice but to accept it. She fully understood her parents are no more, they left her in this world, and she's all alone now.

Her tears came streaming down. No she can't let it go, she definitely can't let it go. She wept with no restrictions.

It was tough for her, her mind could not take it anymore. Her gaze suddenly caught sight of a tray filled with all medical tools. A syringe, Cotton wool, and a scalpel.

Her gaze lingered on the scalpel without flickering or making any attempt to move it away. "Mom, Dad I am coming." She mumbled in a weak tone, with conviction laced in it.

She stretched her hand forward to get hold of the scalpel, after a few tries she grabbed it.

She pulled her sleeves away, up to her elbow level. Looking at her wrist with no single emotion or fear, at this moment she looked like a psychopath.

She brought the scalpel closer to her wrist with no hesitation in her action. Though she could hear footsteps coming closer, that didn't discourage her one bit, she didn't falter for a moment to think, she just headed straight for it.

The scalpel finally grazed her skin, She took it deeper in as it already was. Blood oozed out producing a metallic smell in the air. But she didn't stop until she slit her wrist through, which she did.

Smiling with brewing tears in her eyes, "Finally" she mumbled out as her vision seems to blur drastically. "I am coming." That was the last statement she uttered before the door was shoved open. But she had already lost consciousness.

Serene silence filled the air after Axel's shocking words, the executives seem to have put his words into consideration.

"And how will that be handled by young master Lu?" Mr. Mo inquired, directing his question at Axel.

"My brother is very capable of handling two corporations, right bro?" Axel concedes while wiggling his brows to Ethan who gave him no reply but a warning.

"Be serious Axel," Ethan warned him with an intimidating glare.

Diverting his attention back to the executives like he didn't hear a word from Ethan, he continued. "My brother can take over the yang Corporation. Since the Lu's will be affected here. The yangs don't have another heir that is of age to take over the company. But right now the yangs only heir has been legally adopted by the Lu's and is not of age yet. So why don't my brother take over the company so when she's of age he can then step down."

His idea was a reasonable one, all the executives seated nodded their heads in the agreement including Louis, Ethan was as expressionless as ever not giving away any trace of his thoughts.

"This idea sounds plausible." One of the executives enunciated.

Elina who knew nothing about what they were discussing, seated silently while listening to the decision they will all arrive at. But she could not deny that what Axel said was a good idea.

"I think he is right, we have signed the adoption papers already which makes kamlyn our only daughter now. Leaving the yang corporation will bring it to its downfall and the Lu corporation will also be implicated in this. Handing over the yang corporation is the only way now, and no one can handle it better than my eldest son, Ethan Lu." Louis said, supporting Axel's conception.

"Okay, that's good then, what you said is absolutely right. We truly believe in the capabilities of young master Lu. The paper will be sent over to the Lu corporations at noon for signing. But with the condition that no employee will be removed from the company without a valid reason?" Mr. Mo said with earnestness.

"I agree," Ethan said after receiving the anticipatory look from everyone.

"Okay let's call it a day then." Mr. Mo said before gesturing for a handshake.

Louis stood together with everyone as they exchanged handshakes with everyone present including Axel and Elina.

"Let me walk you out." Louis offered.

"The is no need for that, we are done here. We will surely get back to you." Mr. Mo said before they all made their way out.

"This happened right?" Elina said shrieking with joy. "Kamlyn is our daughter now." She continued with excitement.

"Yes dear she is our daughter now," Louis said with a smile.

"I have a daughter now Louis, I have two sons and a daughter Louis." Elina was filled with joy.

Louis smiled dotingly he was also happy about this, he now has a daughter. Who would not be happy?

"Arghhhh who knew business can be boring and tiring, urghhh." Axel suddenly mumbled interrupting the joyful moment.

"Brat Tchhh" Elina sneered at him.

"Bro thank you for being the eldest, I would have suffered this all day," Axel said.

Ethan stood without giving a reply but halted when his phone rang. Seeing it was the doctor he immediately picked up the call. "Hello, doctor." He said catching everyone's attention.

"What?" He echoed out with immediate shock.

"Okay, we will be there, thank you." He ended the call.

"What happened," Elina asked with worry etched on her face.

Ethan sighed loudly before explaining. "She attempted suicide." That was enough to devastate everyone, they were all in utter shock.
