A QUESTION

The drive was a quiet one, with Louis seated at the right and Ethan the left. kamlyn was placed in the middle.

They had an important meeting together that was the reason Ethan joined so they could both arrive on time together, that is after dropping kamlyn at the hospital.

Louis's concentration was fully on his documents while Ethan's was on his tablet. Kamlyn just sat still looking around since she had nothing to kill time.

She was already used to seating with Louis, countless of times already. But the person on her left made her feel really..... Should she say uncomfortable?. Well something like that. Though his full concentration was sorely on his tablet, neither did he spare her any glance this time.

She stayed still until they arrived at the hospital of which her psychotherapist was.

The driver carefully parked the car at the garage.

They all stepped down with kamlyn coming down last. She stared at the tall building with uncertainty brewing in her chest. Suddenly she felt she don't want to be here.

Louis noticed her change of mood. "Dear are you alright?" He asked but got no reply. "Everything will be alright okay! don't worry." Louis said with a smile after guessing the reason for mood change.

Kamlyn just nodded frantically like she was trying to convince herself about Louis's words.

Ethan made the first step into the hospital. This was the Zhang's medical hospital. He walked to the counter and met with the attendance who were fawning at him from a distance.

"Where can I find Doctor Zhao?" He went straight to the point without paying attention to their dreamy eyes.

"At the 7th floor sir on the way to your right." One of the attendances said with her unprofessional smile.

With that he left immediately not sparing a single second left. Louis and Kamlyn followed suit.

Kamlyn started feeling more nervous as she played with her fingers that were already sweaty.

When they arrive at the 7th floor they took a turn to their right, just before they could go in further they caught sight of a door with the tag 'Psychotherapist' boldly written at the top.

Ethan made a soft knock on the door before they were permitted in.

When they got in, they took their sits. Kamlyn sat on a couch at the far end corner of the office while Ethan and Louis both sat opposite the Doctor.

"Good day Master Lu and young Master Lu." Doctor Zhao greeted.

"Good day Doctor." Louis replied while Ethan responded with a small nod.

"I have studied her case so far so I set up an appointment for today hope it wasn't to your inconvenience?" Doctor Zhao asked.

"No Doctor." Louis responded.

"Okay! so let's get this started. The problem started since she heard the news about her parents demise right?" Doctor Zhao asked.

"Yes doctor." Louis responded while looking back to see if she got any reaction from the doctor's question.

"Don't worry she can't hear anything from there." Doctor Zhao said after seeing Louis's action.

"Okay" Louis said with a sigh of relief.

"And after that she fainted." Doctor lan continued.

"Yes." Louis replied.

"What are the symptoms she exhibits after she arrived from the hospital." Doctor Zhao asked.

"About that... she's really a carefree person and a chatterbox as well, She seeks trouble, laughs a lot and also plays alot." Louis reminisced with a smile.

"But now... She has changed drastically, her smile disappeared, she has become so dull and lifeless all of sudden. It's too much." Louis continued, his smile totally gone and replaced with a sad one.

Ethan who was seated by the side kept quiet while listening. He had an expression like he was thinking about something before he turned to take a look at her. His eyes met with hers and she immediately blinked before looking away, and he did same by putting his attention back at the doctor.

"I understand. I think I will take her for a little checkup before I start the session with her. I am aware of her depressed state, I won't go too far." Doctor Zhao said as he saw the look of worry on Louis's face. He immediately knew what he was thinking about.

"Alright then doctor."

Kamlyn who was thinking of what they were discussing immediately started feeling afraid when she saw the doctor walking towards her.

"Hi I'm doctor Zhao, your therapist." He greeted.

Kamlyn responded with a nervous nod.

Doctor Zhao just observed her keenly.

"Come with me, I won't hurt you it just a check up alright." Doctor Zhao said to her.

Kamlyn stared at the doctor and then to Louis he nodded to her.

She slowly followed him.

"I just hope everything will be alright." Louis voiced out with a sigh.

After a couple of minutes the doctor came in while removing his medical mask.

"Any change?" Louis asked hopefully.

"I have a question. Do she speak?" Doctor Zhao ask.

"Thinking about it.... she doesn't, I mean since the incident. I thought it was because of the impact it had on her so.... Doctor what's wrong?" Louis explained with squinted eyes.

"She has aphasia. Inability to speak." Doctor Zhao announced shocking them.
