Meeting Death

He suddenly waves a hand and my Mother disappears. I panic and turn to look at the man in front of me "What have you done? Where is she?" I ask with an edge to my voice. His eyes look me over before he says "She is where the dead are supposed to be. The dead and the living are not meant to coexist together."

I frown but slightly calm down "You didn't hurt her?" I ask in a softer voice. The man tilts his head and says "No. Your mother is not of this world... she's not human so she's always been a bit... difficult but I have never hurt her." He steps closer causing me to take a step back.

"I am guessing you are not from this world either... not human." He says in a soft but low voice. I slightly nod my head as the man begins walking around me making me nervous. Chip stays close to my hip as the man walks around us at a slow pace.
