"Take your time sweetheart... You have me until the sun rises." She says in a calming voice. Every time she speaks it feels as if something inside me is being torn open... like something I've suppressed as a child is being brought to the surface with her voice.

I shake myself and try to rearrange my thoughts. Until the sun rises... that isn't very far from now. "Are you from Everlise?" I say looking back to her sad eyes. Shock flickers across her eyes before she slowly nods, bringing my whole world tumbling down.
