She Became The Boss's Lady After Divorce

Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family.  She found out that the man she thought was her soulmate only married her because of his family inheritance, now that he had gotten it, she was no longer useful to him. It was time for she to go her own way, after three years of hardship and unfaithfulness.  Tessa picked the pen up and signed the divorce papers.  ‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’ David smirked.  “Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside” Olivia George screamed.  “Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!” Olivia's quivering tone was heard.  “David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on” Tessa's cheeks raised slowly.  “I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country” “Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

CHAPTER 97

"Fill,"

Tessa smashed the glass cup on the table. The Bartender immediately poured Tessa another glass of wine. Tessa drank everything in one go and smashed the glass on the table again.

"Fill,"

"Fill,"

"Fill,"

Tessa paused as she stared at the newly filled glass in front of her. She couldn't believe old man Samuel was dead. She couldn't stand being at the temple, watching his lifeless head on the basket, it was as if her entire world was turning upside down.

'So this is what it feels like to lose someone, yet I wasn't there for my father when grandfather past away, and he didn't hate me.'

Tessa's eyes didn't turn wet this time around, but the emotions were inside. Her heart rate wasn't normal, it was pounding faster every moment. Just then, somebody sat close to Tessa.

Six men followed the man from behind.

"Drinking all alone. It's not something a pretty girl should be doing."
