Chapter 106 AFO Round 2!

[Kaede POV]

"Welcome!" A male voice greeted us.

Shoto and I entered a large chamber, and the room was empty except for the black throne built into the ground facing us. There it was, AFO resting lazily on the throne with Tomura beside him. I glanced at Tomura, but his expression was strange. His eyes were dull and emotionless as if the villain became a lifeless machine...

"Who would've thought that you would've become more troublesome than All Might." AFO joked while shaking his head.

Shoto and I glared at the villain as we watched for any sudden movements. I brandished my katana and was fully prepared to dice him into a million tiny pieces. However, AFO held out his hand as Shoto and I frowned

"I have a proposition," AFO announced, "Join us....."

"Excuse me?" I uttered.

"You heard me, and I can grant you anything you want, money, power? I could even extend your life!" AFO shamelessly declared, "Don't worry the boy could join as well," He said and gestured at Shoto.

There was silence, and my grip on my sword tightened: "What kind of sick joke is this? Why would we team up with the likes of you!" I yelled and Shoto nodded, agreeing with me.

I instantly appeared before AFO with the intent of killing him; however, Tomura intercepted and blocked my sword with his arm. His hands were sliced off cleanly, but his limbs regenerated in a blink of an eye. He counter-attacked with his fists and a huge Iceberg interrupted his attack.

I regrouped with Shoto and clicked my teeth in frustration. As much as I want to use my Susanno or Shinra Tensei, I couldn't risk collapsing this damn cavern!

AFO laughed as he calmly observed us: "I will give you one last chance," AFO proclaimed and spread his arms: "Don't you want strength? Don't you want to live longer? Join us, and you will gain anything you can ever want!"

I growled: "Power? It's not true power if it's not your own! Live longer? Why would I want that? It's because we age. That's what makes life so valuable! I already have everything I wanted, and the last thing I will do is fight alongside you!"

AFO sighed and shook his head: "That's unfortunate; I guess both of you just have to die then...." He leapt at me while Tomura created a massive way of decay.

However, the decay was stopped as Shoto freezes the floor and the ice travelled along Tomura's hands. Using this chance, lightning chakra coated my body. My speed intensified and sped past AFO as my sole target was Tomura himself. The villain broke free from the ice and my katana skewered him in the chest. Tomura clutched the blade's edge and my weapon starts to rot and rust.

I immediately let go of the handle and electricity gathered in my hand as I use Chidori. Unexpectedly, I sensed danger to my right. AFO charged and his arm transformed into a drill with metal and rebar protruding from his skin.

I dodged as the attack smashed into the ground. I climbed onto his drill arm and kicked him in the face. AFO made a grunting noise as his skull mask shattered and he was launched backward.

At this moment, Tomura lunged and I sidestepped from his reach. I swirl around as my fist sinks into his stomach. I felt my fist break something, Tomura ignored the pain and charged but he was blasted away by dozens of icicles. Shoto then encased the villains in an iceberg and I safely retreated.

However, the ice prison lasted merely a few seconds and instantly exploded as the villains reemerged. Tomura's deformed body healed while AFO repositioned his dislocated jaw. I scowled, the heroes should be here soon, and we just have to last. If it's only one of them, I probably would be able to win but with the two villains here, they could cover for each other's weaknesses.

"I can't use my full potential without the fear of the cave collapsing on us.." I muttered.

"What should we do?" Shoto asked while still keeping his eyes on the two villains.

"The tunnels may not be as deep as we thought since the air was still ventilating from somewhere right? I will try and find the most fragile spot for us to break out of. Keep AFO busy until then!" I said.

"Simple enough..." Shoto answered in a confident tone.

He clasped his hand together as the air weirdly got cold and hot at the same time. The flames on his body started to change into white transparent colour and the ground he was standing on began to freeze as if his ice and fire ability were merged together. It suddenly felt cold and I could see my own breath.

"Wow, how did you manage that?" I exclaimed while watching with awe.

Shoto smiled: "It's because of you."

'Eh?' I don't remember doing something like that...

I shook my head to dispel the thought, fight now, ask questions later: "Let's do this Shoto-kun!" I said and equipped myself with a new katana.

"Yeah!" Shoto nodded and together we rushed towards our opponents.

As I engage Tomura, I could hear explosions behind me. Shoto's newfound strength was a pleasant surprise and I was very proud of him. I focused on my battle as Tomura tried to snatch me and cast his decay but I safely avoided his onslaught using hit-and-run tactics.

During my battle, I threw kunai at the ceiling of the cave. I was trying to test the strength of each part of the ceiling but currently, things weren't looking good as all the kunai bounced off the hard stone roof.

"Come on!" I cursed with frustration.

I continuously tossed all my kunai while escaping Tomura's barrage. Finally, one of the kunai dug into the centre area of a cavern and cracks ran along the canopy: "There!" I exclaimed with joy.

"Shoto!" I yelled.

He nodded and sprinted towards me. AFO and Tomura were hot in pursuit as my Sharingan shifted into Rinnegan. Shoto generated flame walls on the villain's sides, creating a massive funnel.

"Got you...." I smirked, "SHINRA TENSEI!"

*BOOM*

The entire ceiling exploded as sunlight shone down the exposed cavern. AFO and Tomura's broken bodies were launched into the outside air as transferred my Chakra into my legs and leapt after them. While soaring after the villains, I identified that we were still on the island, I assumed that we were on the north side since I could faintly spot the outline of Naha city.

I rush towards AFO and readied my weapon.

With a swing, I felt my blade connecting with his neck as I gripped the handle and with all my strength, I cleanly beheaded him. I landed on the ground and AFO's corpse fell beside me: 'Is this it? Did I do it?'

I glanced at Tomura and the villain seemed to be in a frozen state. Was it because of shock? I'm not sure but I have to take this opportunity and finish him off right now! Sorry, Midoriya, seems like I have disappointed you.

I re-entered my fighting stance and breath calmly.

"KAEDE!" I suddenly heard Shoto shouting my name, his face was full of disbelief and shock as he seemed to be looking at something behind me.

I turned around and my eyes widened. I hurriedly dodged as AFO's fist smashed into the floor I watched with amazement. AFO was still alive and stood perfectly fine while holding his decapitated head: "How...." I muttered in disbelief.

AFO smiled and placed his head on his neck. Muscle tendons and veins connected with each other as AFO's head was successfully reattached: "Tomura was not the inheritor of All for One, in fact... All for One can never be inherited...."

"What are you talking about?" I can't help but ask out loud.

"Couldn't you tell? Tomura and I become one, he's now nothing but a vassal that I have taken over!" AFO announced with a laugh.

Tomura walked next to the villain and AFO grabbed him by the neck, the two began to merge as Tomura was absorbed into AFO's body. The villain grew taller and all the scars on his body disappeared. AFO's appearance changed, and now he has robust and imposing features, short white hair, and luminous red eyes.

AFO touched his face as he grinned: "How I missed my old look..." He said with pleasure.

"What happened to Tomura?!" Shoto demanded an answer.

"Tomura's gone... Now, let the real battle begin!" AFO laughed.

AFO's pressure has intensified tremendously, and I cringed. The fight has just become way more dangerous...
