The next day, when Eira and her pals went about their daily rituals, it appeared like life had returned to normal. They were able to go without being burdened by the weird events that had occurred since it seemed as though the bizarre episode from the previous day had been erased from their memory
In the meantime, attention switched to Aunty Sally, a mysterious character at the orphanage. One of the perceptive children, Narah, saw something unusual. A rather uncommon sight, Aunty Sally was seen stroking the lilies in the garden. In contrast to her reputation as the cold-hearted person who made life tough for the kids in her care, Aunty Sally was not renowned for her warmth. Given her odd behavior and the apparent joy she took in others' misery, some people even speculated that she may be a demonic being. She was stunning, but she had never wed, and her aura of evil made her seem distant.
This strange conduct piqued Narah's interest, and she felt it was important to share with the other kids. When something unusual happened, she was preparing to go get some kids to watch Aunty Sally's surprise kindness toward flowers. Suddenly the lilies started to wither and screeching while dieing . Narah, who was a helpless bystander, could not believe what she was seeing.
While magic was there in what Narah had seen, it was not the good kind . Aunty Sally had revealed her true self: a vile creature determined to provide a gateway for her kind. She aimed to bring about the second Calamity, which would cause unimaginable destruction for humanity.
Aunty Sally was originally a magical creature, but when people started slaughtering her species out of fear and anxiety, she turned wicked. Those who still possessed magical abilities were viewed as dangers following the Calamity, which had rendered the majority of people powerless. While some of the magical creatures showed mankind forgiveness and sought peace, others, like Aunty Sally, harbored bitter grudges and sought comfort in the embrace of evil and darkness.
The other lilies surrounding Narah started to cry and plead as she stood there paralyzed in dread and could hear them. The flowers appeared to be imprisoned souls with sentience who were wailing in agony. Narah wanted to scream, but she was unable to do so. She also wanted to run away, but her body resisted. She was compelled to see the terrifying events taking place in front of her because she was locked in a nightmare.
The truth that these lilies were magical youngsters like herself and her pals who had perished at the hands of humans during the period when magical people were persecuted and slaughtered became horrifyingly obvious as opposed to being regular flowers. Despite the fact that they had found peace in death, a dark power had transformed them into something far more sinister—a vacuum created to drain magic from other creatures that had made the decision to live alongside humans.
The dead flowers started to be devoured by Aunty Sally, who had now thoroughly established her malicious nature. She did this by drawing out all of the magical energy they had acquired from other magical entities. As Narah continued to observe this horrific picture, something inside of her suddenly broke.
Her body started to move on its own after her feet, as if being driven by an invisible force. She was overcome with fear and adrenaline, and she made a noise that Aunty Sally heard. Aunty Sally began moving in the direction of the noise, but Narah was able to flee. On her young soul, the trauma she had just experienced was certain to leave a permanent mark.
With her pulse racing and trying to make sense of the terrifying incident she had just watched, Narah hurried inside their shared room and shut the door. Following her, Eira saw the closed door and started knocking on it.
Despite her crippling anxiety, Narah summoned the courage to reply, despite the fact that her voice quivered with dread. She said in a trembling voice, "Who is it?"
It's me Eira. Narah rushed to open the door for her friend. What's the matter Eira questions her but she was too afraid to speak. When Narah was finally able to speak, her words came out quickly. Aunt Sally.. Aunty Sally is a Witch. Eira, she has abilities. You were accurate. Magic exists. Today I saw it. She is purely evil.
Eira's demeanor appeared to abruptly alter, and her smile took on the appearance of a demon in possession. It was immediately apparent to Narah that the Eira standing in front of her was not in fact her friend, but rather a shape-shifting Aunty Sally. Although Narah attempted to scream, nothing came out. She made an effort to get away, but her body failed her, and she fell to the ground.
The imposter, who had assumed the appearance of Eira, came up to Narah and prepared to eat her. The ominous entity suddenly disappeared as Sofia entered the room just as it was about to approach. The body of Narah remained on the bed, giving the impression that she was only sleeping.
Narah was unresponsive despite Sofia's attempts to wake her, so she decided to let her sleep and left the room. After some time passed, Narah eventually woke up. She experienced a marathon-like feeling of exhaustion. She immediately went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water when she unintentionally ran into Aunty Sally, who grinned and welcomed her.
"Narah, how are you doing?" Aunty Sally asked in a tone that seemed compassionate and friendly.
"Good to go, Miss. How are you doing? Narah graciously responded. But she couldn't shake the feeling of déjà vu or the hazy memory of seeing something alarming concerning Aunty Sally. The recollection, however, eluded her, as if it had been purposefully removed from her memory.
Aunty Sally pointed to a group of youngsters having fun and playing games and advised that Narah go play with the other kids. In an effort to ignore the uncomfortable event she couldn't quite recall, Narah consented and joined in.
As they were having fun, someone suggested playing "The Human Knot," and Narah was partnered with Eira. When their hands made contact to start the game, an unexpected incident happened. Narah's head jerked upward and time appeared to stop, as if her thoughts were being overtaken by the harrowing memories of her experience with Aunty Sally and the evil flowers. Within a few minutes, which in human time was only a few seconds, Eira saw this memory develop.
Turns out her powers in a way brought Narah back to her senses
Eira regained consciousness, but Narah screamed and fell to the ground with injuries to her hand and a red mark from Eira's hold. Sofia tried to revive her by sprinkling water on her face while the other kids raced to help her, and other kids ran to get their Guardians. Narah was taken back to their room by Sofia and a few others as they continued to try to resuscitate her.
Eira was paralyzed by shame and terror. She was unable to understand what was taking place to her and her pal. One tear spilled from her eye onto Narah as she got closer to the unconscious girl. Strangely, Narah woke up right away and said, "Aunt Sally! Sally's aunt is bad! She is a demon. Her sobs resounded throughout the space.
Narah was comforted by Sofia, who gave her a gentle pat and urged her to settle down. When Narah ultimately lost consciousness once more, the four friends sat together while crying. Particularly Eira was profoundly worried by what she had seen and heard since Narah's remarks now appeared to support her most troubling fears regarding Aunty Sally.
The children's and Mama Dale's homecoming created a depressing atmosphere in the space. She didn't spend any time attending to Narah's wounds, her skilled hands using delicate care to apply ointment. Her face was furrowed with worry as she cast a questioning gaze at the injured girl.
No one dared to describe what had happened, so the room stayed in an unnerving stillness. Eira's shaking hand was ultimately pointed out as the incident's origin by a brave individual. They had been playing a game when Eira accidentally hurt Narah by accidentally holding her hand too tightly, causing her to pass out. The explanation was straightforward but included an unsaid charge.
Mama Dale's often kind and consoling approach was now tinged with displeasure and skepticism. The others, who were oblivious of her actual character, joined in with judgmental eyes, and Eira felt as though she were carrying the burden of shame on her shoulders. But no one knew her better than her roommates, Sofia, Isabella, and Narah. They were confident that Eira would never deliberately hurt a friend.
Sofia assumed control once Mama Dale had left the room. The other children poured out as she motioned for them to do so, their whispers reflecting the confusion of the circumstance. She shut the door once the space was quiet to keep their chat secret.
The three buddies sat on the mattresses, a mixture of fear and fascination written over their features. They were in an awkward quiet until Eira asked the question that had been nagging at her. Is anyone aware of what Narah meant when she said, "Aunt Sally is evil"?
The ever-optimistic Isabella attempted to add some humor to the circumstance. She gave a little smile and said, "Maybe Aunt Sally is just a wicked witch. "People can act strangely at times, but that doesn't mean they're being misunderstood," she said.
Eira leaned in a little bit closer as her eyes lit up with a glint of interest. With a tinge of excitement in her voice, she pondered, "But what if she's a real, bona fide evil witch?" That would indicate that magic exists, right?
In their group, Sofia, the voice of reason, reclined back against her pillow and looked contemplative. Let's not leap to conclusions just yet, she eventually said. There is not enough data available. We should wait a while to observe if anything else strange occurs. It would be preferable to relax for the time being.
Isabella argued, her young exuberance making it difficult to concentrate, "But it's only 6:00 o'clock."
Sofia sighs and went to bed she was instantly teleported to a location that defied all understanding in the realm beyond the one we are familiar with. She was surrounded by magical entities, whose presence created an unreal sight beyond her wildest dreams. Sofia looked in astonishment as they moved, their shapes sparkling with magic, her eyes wide and confused.
But then something unexpected happened. The magical beings, who had at first appeared so calm, began to get anxious. They dispersed everywhere, as though running from an ominous fear. With her pulse racing, Sofia went to look for the cause of their apprehension. She then encountered a being that she could only refer to as a "pickler demon."
These pickler demons were notorious for being ravenous and devouring magic itself. Unlike the lilies, who absorbed magical creatures, picklers looked everywhere for the purest form of magic. Sofia was unknowingly bursting with magical energy as she was dreaming.
It all began when Eira accidently utilized magic to dig into Narah's mind while exploring her own abilities. Sofia had been close by and unwittingly absorbed this magic, which had caused her to come into contact with Eira's burgeoning abilities and put her in a peculiar state. Not only had she come into contact with magic, but she also possessed a reserve of untapped magical skills.
The picklers were drawn to Sofia like moths to a flame as they sensed this newly discovered source of power within her. They charged her, ready to devour the special mix of power she brought. Sofia struggled to ward off the evil things as fear coursed through her body. She instantly reached out her hands in an effort to defend herself.
Unexpectedly, her extended hands began to shine a bright blue. The pickler demons were repulsed by the dazzling light, which sent them wailing and writhing away. In the midst of the frantic activity of her dream, Sofia gasped in awe.
A soothing figure suddenly materialized at her side as she stood there, her hands shaking but still shining with the last of her newly discovered power. She was helped by a lovely and bright fairy. The fairy led Sofia away from the hazardous situation with a comforting smile. Together, they escaped the pickler demons' grasp and the fantasy world.
Sofia found herself in front of a strange tree in the middle of the magical forest, still shaking from the bizarre experience she had just experienced. A treehouse was located beneath the tree, but something about it was unusual.
What, treehouses are meant to be up in the trees, right? Sofia enquired, her voice tinged with anxiety as much as interest.
"In this realm, my dear, things are not always as they seem," the fairy cryptically said. And watch where you walk," she said, indicating some nearby mushrooms.
Sofia couldn't help but wonder about the fairy's warning, but she soon had her answer. The mushrooms gave a funny yawn as she got closer, showing that this realm was really full of wacky and erratic wonders.
When they went into the treehouse, they discovered a tiny dollhouse and kids who were painting inside. The fairy entered the little dollhouse with a feeling of purpose and invited Sofia to follow her. Sofia first resisted, her skepticism echoing her incredulity. "How am I ever going to fit in there? I'm far too huge, she cried out.
Simply take a step closer, the fairy said with a smile.
Sofia carefully followed the fairy's instructions, and to her surprise, she saw that she was shrinking. Her vision of the environment changed as she continued to shrink. She quickly shrank to the size of the fairy.
Together, they entered the dollhouse, leaving the massive forest behind and moving into a place where scale and reality had distinct rhythms.
Sofia was in a wonderful town full of fairies and a variety of other enchanting creatures when she unexpectedly arrived there. The fairy that had led her through this fantastical realm graciously greeted her in the Land of Fairies.
The tooth fairy, the dream fairy, and several other wonderful entities are seen here, the fairy said. Sofia's jaw sprang wide in shock. She was still trying to make sense of the amazing circumstances that had brought her to this magical location.
Sofia finally asked the query that had been gnawing at her since her change, unable to control her curiosity. She said with astonishment in her voice, "How did I get so small?"
The fairy grinned sweetly and explained that the reason for her abrupt shrinkage was a defensive strategy the fairies had put in place to keep off outsiders who could disturb their tranquil village. Anyone who threatened them would be suddenly reduced to their size, ensuring a fair and equal battle.
With this knowledge, Sofia was able to accept that the realm she had just entered and the power she was surrounded by were both unquestionably real. She suddenly realized that Eira had been correct all along.
Sofia murmured to herself, "I can't believe Eira was right," her mind wandering to her buddy. However, the fairy town looked to be under a spell just by mentioning Eira's name. The fairies conversed in whispers and cast each other inquisitive looks as a quiet overcame them.
Sofia looked to her fairy companion, perplexed by the response, and inquired as to if she had said something improperly or unusually. But the fairy had another idea in mind. She guided Sofia to a certain spot with the intention of telling a story that would reveal the secrets of this enchanted world.
The fairy escorted Sofia to a peaceful location within the fairy village's magical surrounds. The fairy started to tell them a tale as they stood there, her voice as lovely as wind chimes.
This area used to be a paradise of pure magic where large and little species coexisted in perfect harmony, the fairy said. It was a time of unmatched serenity.
With her eyes reflecting the dazzling magnificence of this beautiful world, Sofia listened closely. She wanted to know more about the new place she had been taken.
"But then came 'THE CALAMITY,' a time when things that had once been strong lost their power," the fairy said. Most people who had formerly been endowed with magical abilities discovered they no longer had any.
Sofia succumbed to her insatiable curiosity. She inquired, her voice full with expectation, "Did they ever find a way to restore their magic?"
The fairy smiled serenely and nodded. They did, she said with certainty. "The wise people set out on a mission to reinstate the natural order of things. They started trying with different techniques to reawaken their magical powers.
As she focused on every word, Sofia's eyes widened. She said, "And what method did they discover?"
"The humans believed that the only way to regain their magic was for each magical being to voluntarily donate a small portion of their own magic," the fairy said in a voice that radiated mystery. The collective magic's essence would subsequently be divided among all living things.
Sofia felt her heart expand with suspense. She said, "That seems like a noble notion.
The fairy's features darkened. It was at first, she acknowledged. But as time went on, some people developed greed. They started to want the power they had acquired and wanted to own it all. The world entered a gloomy period.
Sofia shivered as she imagined the mayhem and anguish that must have followed in vivid detail. She wanted to know what occurred after, so she asked, "What happened next?"
The fairy said, "Magical creatures withdrew from the Earth's surface in search of safety for their life. Together, they formed a secret world that was invisible to human eyes. They wanted to maintain their power and find refuge from the tumult of the human world here, in the secrecy of this magical realm.
The consequences of this story were running through Sofia's head. The Calamity tale was a revelation, illuminating the deeper secrets of magic and the effects of humanity's deeds. She was enticed to investigate farther and learn more about the magical world's well-kept secrets since it appeared to be pulsing with the weight of history.
The fairy smiled wisely and delivered the prophesy about Eira, an orphaned child who was going to bring harmony back to the planet. Sofia felt the tremendous weight of the impending responsibilities as she pondered this astounding discovery.
Sofia, curious to learn more, expressed her doubts about Eira's ability to complete such a challenging assignment by herself. with answer, the fairy turned her attention to a neighboring tree covered with pictures of five different friendship groups. The pictures seemed to come to life, showing Sofia a sequence of happenings. One of them, a touching scenario of a dead person lying in a circle of mourners, stood out among the others. Sofia was profoundly impacted by this heartbreaking scene and inspired to understand the nature of their destiny and make every effort to protect their group of friends' safety and well-being.
Sofia, who was visibly moved by the pictures depicting a horrific incident, felt a pressing need for explanation. She consulted the fairy in an effort to learn more about the mysterious visions. What would the final result of these actions be? Sofia asked, her eyes wide with worry and interest.
The fairy, though, gave a response that seemed inevitable. She stated that nobody could control how these events would play out; fate was in charge of it. Sofia moved forth despite having a sad heart since she knew that someone in their close-knit group would suffer a terrible fate. This was verified by the fairy with sorrow.
Sofia was unable to accept her companions' grim destiny. Desperate to alter fate and guarantee the safety of her friends, she begged the fairy. But the fairy's reply left her speechless and powerless. She was taught that destiny was fixed. It did, however, have a weakness—it could be changed. When Sofia heard this mysterious information, she was frozen by a conflict of terror and tenacity as she struggled with the gravity of their shared fate.
Sofia voiced her wish to exit this mythical dimension as her resolution to do so had become stronger. Her face had become gray, and she was filled with dread. She asked the fairy urgently how to get home since she needed to get away from the crushing disclosures and uncertainty.
The fairy pointed to another tree, trying to calm Sofia's anxiety by showing her the way back to her house was through there. Sofia was reassured by the fairy that she may shout out their names whenever she wanted to talk to them.
Sofia was drawn in by an unidentified force as she neared the tree. She felt a weird sensation come over her as her body slowly started to fall apart. In her last minutes in this enchanted world, Sofia realized she hadn't gotten the name of the fairy. She yelled to the fairy, "What is your name?" in a desperate attempt to learn this final piece of information. But before she heard the response, she disappeared, leaving the enchanted world behind.
