I glare over at the Winter's mother and slowly walk towards her, stepping over bodies and heads, puddles of blood scattered across the floor. Samantha watches as the wisps continue flowing off of my armor until I am about 50 feet away from her. She gets shivers as she stares at me, seemingly staring at death who was laughing in her face right now.
I wince with each step I take, but suffer silently as I focus extra shadow armor on the wound or to the best of my ability that is. I open my maws, my dagger like teeth shimmering through the black armor. She holds her breath, preparing for what I am about to say.
"I give you one chance, why did you set up a trap for me? I have been nothing but compliant so far." I say, my demonic voice echoing throughout the metal arena, still littered in bodies and blood.
She stares at me, unmoving, her breath calm, but her eyes and body betraying her, her ears lay flat forwards on her head and her form looks smaller as fear blazes in her eyes. She takes a moment before opening her mouth, her fear of the executive coming second to the grim reaper who stands in front of her.
"It was commands from the higher ups, but if I say more, I certainly would die because I guarantee the one who executed it is watching us." She says as she nods towards the cameras.
I stand there, stunned slightly. 'I thought she was the one who planned this, but I still lack information.' I return back to my stern stature as I release killing intent, just a little. Suddenly, the bat-wolf in front of me starts shivering as she looks at me, her eyes filling with tears, and her face carved with a look of horror. Even her daughter starts shivering as her tail goes between her legs and her ears fold forward as she stares at me, a look of shock on her. 'What did I do?' I think as I almost immediately retract it, seeing that I could of just done something even worse than I expected.
I see Samantha slow her shivering as she stares at me, but she is still shivering noticeably. "Now, are you scared of your higher up, or me? The man who can kill you right now." I say as I flick my blade, the blood on it moments ago flying into the air.
She gulps and looks at me, "I'm sorry Kurayami. I don't even know his full power, but let's say he rests at the top of the food chain, and he will most likely be arriving soon to deal with you and me seeing how my mission failed."
She says as she looks down at the floor. "So even if you don't kill me, I'll be most likely crippled anyway, it doesn't matter, my position can be replaced."
I raise my eyebrows and suddenly smirk, "So he will be arriving soon, that's very good, I can kill him when he least expects it, I'll be sure to have fun with that." I say as I giggle evilly, "I don't like those who take advantage of others just because they are weak but this is the world. I can only deal with one idiot at a time."
'I have had visions in my sleep as of late, and one of the most reoccurring ones is a man constantly yelling at me, not caring for my mental or physical health and working me till I was sick. I hate this man and hope it was someone on earth who actually perished with the sun. Being taken advantage of because your superior knows you can't do anything is something I hate the most.
I stare at the women and ask her one more thing, "Did you at least try to make my offer?" She gulps before slowly shaking her head and stuttering while responding. " Sorry, n-no. He didn't even give-give me the chance to as he commanded me to do this, but I-I refused at first till he threatened me."
I stare at her for a moment, about to say something before suddenly getting cut off by someone speaking in an entire different language, "Is that you Kurayami?" I am shocked stiff by the voice as I stop moving. 'Where have I heard this voice before?'
"Watch her." I say as I turn around, there is a squeak and a growl in response, but it goes unheard as I turn around and see an orc walking towards me, his face stern with a cautious look on it. "Is that you Kurayami?"
I immediately reply with a quick, definitely not sounding guilty at all. "Nope, who is that guy?" He rolls his eyes and glares at me, apparently not in the mood to joke, "Kurayami, the slime on your head gives you away."
...
...
'Fuck.'
I laugh awkwardly as I come up with an excuse. "I got curious about where that monster came from and jumped down here, I ended up finding this cube and a weird rectangle, I pressed a few symbols on it and it opened a door. I entered and then got caught in a massive mess to say the least." I scratch the back of my head as I look down at the floor, hoping he buys my lie, he squints at me as he glances at the two massive black and purple beings behind me.
"And where did you learn that magic?" He waves at the beings behind me, a slight tings of fear in his voice. I glance at the shadows while I still scratch the back of my head as I look at the massive werewolf and the massive bat. They glance at me when they hear they were mentioned but quickly continue to stare at Samantha, making sure she doesn't move. Winter, with her tail still between her legs, cautiously starts walking towards me, glancing every now and then at the massive black creatures that could only be called nightmares.
They glance at her but do nothing more as they were not commanded to do so. She hurriedly walks over to Kurayami and stares very cautiously at the green creature in front of her and at the mass of black wisps to her right. She taps my shoulder causing me to wince a bit before I look over at her and quickly ask in English, "Yeah?"
She looks down as if embarrassed and asks, "Let's go back to my house, talking here feels very wrong." She says as she waves at the hundreds of bodies and limbs. I pause for a moment before nodding.
"Alright." I look over at Dreag who has a very confused look on his face and say as respectfully as possible, "I will explain some of this at a later time, but could we please go somewhere else to speak, after all, talking in a war zone is not the most ideal." I say as I wave at all the dead bodies. He goes to say something, his mouth open for a moment, before shutting it and simply nodding.
'I can't have any secrets, can I?' I think as I begin to limp my way out of the stadium. I look over at Winter and realize something, "Do you guys have any bandages, I got hurt pretty bad in that fight." Winter nods and looks over at her mom, who is still being stared at by the two behemoths.
"I can get you bandages but could you please call those things off of my mother, I hate her and understand why they are staring at her but could you still? I want to hear her side of the story because I don't think my mother is this cruel, to attack someone who is being extremely compliant."
I think for a moment before thinking it might be a risk, 'Better to compromise.' I think as the two ninjas leap out of my shadow and land at my sides, the black wisps cloaking their figuring. "Get your mother to untransform and I will replace those two with these two. This is as lenient as I will be, I don't want her attacking me midway down the hall."
Winter shrugs her shoulders and gives a 'Ill try look.' And walks over to her mother. After about 10 minutes of talking, I see Samantha slowly revert back to her humanoid form, with the exception of the ears and tail. Winter looks over at me and nods, signaling that her mother has agreed.
"You two, swap places with the other two." I say to the two ninjas who soundlessly nod. As if clockwork the two beasts turn around and walk towards me before liquefying and hiding into my shadow.
I see the two ninjas take one side each beside the wolf and silently follow her, their hands ready to grab their blades. Samantha glances at the two shadows but just begins walking towards the exit, holding up her wrist band and messaging someone. I glance over and see the ID as dickhead and have to struggle not to laugh, I suddenly see her type out and press send, but that is the end of it as we close the doors to the bloody stadium, the bodies still covering it.
As we walk down the hall, I see students everywhere staring at us as we walk past, but who wouldn't. We probably look like the cover for a band in all honesty.
