I look up at the massive blade as I wait for anything to tell me to fight. I wait for a few moments when my instincts kick in, an attack coming from the left.
'Left!' I inwardly yell as I crouch, the blade passing over me as wisps of smoke are cut in 2. But as I look at the girl's figure, she seems to have not moved, but a small look of confusion on her face.
"I swear I hit him." She says as she looks up from the ground, just to stare at me again. By the side, Taskra is looking at me with equal confusion.
Milliseconds later, I jump into the air as my instincts kick in, this time coming from the bottom right. The student's face turns from cold to serious as a grey fire forms underneath her, flickering with a deadly glow.
"So you can actually sense my attacks, seems I underestimated you." She states in her ice cold tone. I nod enthusiastically, unable to give a sarcastic remark due to my lacking of a mouth.
The Author looks at the blue fire steadily, "Seems you are teaching her top level stuff. Already preparing her to be a martial artist?" He asks seriously as he glances at Taskra.
The Author has never hated Taskra, he just doesn't like how she acts. She nods, "Yes, but I ain't telling you anything else."
The Author sneers, 'Prick.'
I watch the grey flames carefully. 'So she isn't using magic...is she a martial artist or something? They always could control elements with Qi if I'm right. Although it always varied. But enough passiveness, it's time to attack!'
I flick my scythe as I seemingly disappear, my silhouette blurring out of existence. I jump into the air as I slice down, but she reacts just in time as she...she lifts the great-sword with one hand?!
I quickly break from my slight stupor as I hook my blade around her sword, swinging myself behind her as I kick her back as strongly as possible. I hear a snap as she is sent flying, hitting a dead tree about 10 yards away. I scratch the back of my head as I look at her fall, 'I think I broke her back.'
But she gets up, a look of anger on her face. The once calm demeanor she had around her now seems fierce as the flames beneath her grow.
"Seems I underestimated you too much! I'm gonna teach you to go around breaking backs!"
She grips the large sword with both hands as she bolts towards me. 'Shadow Weapon! Roman Shield!' I think as I hold my arm in front of me, the girl 2 seconds away from chopping me in half.
I hear Sky's excited voice enter my ears, "What is that?! It's so cool!"
I smile, 'So I can't see magic but she can. This could be useful if it's water magic or something that distorts my vision.'
As my thoughts enter my head, I watch as the blade hits air. But the sound of metal scrapping against metal screams in my ears as the grey flames touch my leg. I hear a Ping in my ears as my Shadow Armor disappears from my body

Shadow Armor has been disabled due to enemy's ability Frosted Fire.

Her eyes go wide as she sees my antenna, causing her to leap back on one foot. Taskra stares at me wide eyed as she looks over at The Author, "You didn't tell me he was a shape shifter?!"
He shrugs, "You didn't tell me jack shit."
The girl who is now about 15 yards away yells, "You can shape shift! That wasn't stated in the rules!"
I inwardly sneer, 'What rules? You just attacked me out of nowhere. Did you have a silent discussion with yourself about this before our fight?' I sarcastically ask as I imagine the scene in my head. She glances over at her teacher before turning back to me. Moments later, we both begin fighting aggressively, sparks flying as explosions span the field. Shockwaves blast outward as craters from from the impact of each hit, shaking the ground violently beneath us.
Suddenly, I hear Sky's voice again. "To the bottom left!"
I launch off of the ground using my scythe's pole, flying through the air as wind whips past my face. Moments later, a large canyon forms between us as her blade cuts through the ground. I gaze at the canyon, which has flickering flames here and there, as I ask Sky, 'What was that? What did you see?'
She answers firmly, "A large mass of electricity had formed on her blade as she cut downward. I guess that used something else if you can't see it like you can with the flames."
Through combat, Sky has been watching carefully and noticed that I could dodge attacks launched by her blade if they had flames, but not anything else.
I nod as I dodge a massive Phoenix of flames flying at me. 'I can see things using Qi, but not mana. You have a wider variety of colors than I do. I only see blue lines, sometimes seeing things in other colors depending on what they are. Like she appears like red lines.'
She nods, "So your stuck seeing things in lines, let me see if I can transfer my vision to you." She says as I feel movement in my head. Seconds later, my vision blacks out as I quickly react, making sure nothing can happen during my momentary blindness.
'Absolute Shadow!' A dome of darkness covers me as the girl, who looked furious moments before, now has a look of cautiousness as she gazes at the large black sphere.
Moments later, my vision comes back to life as colors I have never even seen before enters my vision. I take a moment as I take in my new surroundings, Sky's happy voice speaking in my head.
"I did it! It hurts my eyes slightly but if it's for you host, I can handle it." She says cutely. I nod, 'Call me Kurayami, now that I can see a lot better, I don't have to hold back anymore!' I deactivate Absolute Shadow as it disappears entirely. I had been restricted a lot by my vision, but now that I can see, it's time to kick her ass. Even the world shall know of this fight!
[I am sorry guys and gals, I had school work to do after I got carried away deep cleaning the entire house.] Thanks For Reading!
