Hanzo, the Salamander, who initially thought he could destroy the Akatsuki, now had to swallow a bitter pill; his elite forces were easily slaughtered, even his summoning animal was killed by Nagato.

At the end of his life, Hanzo felt betrayed by Danzo, who promised to join in this attack, but in fact, Danzo only sent Root members who could be disposed of at any time.

With all his strength, Hanzo tried to inform Konan about who the real enemy she should fight against was.

Sora then buried Nagato's body, Yahiko's, and the other Akatsuki members'; even the shinobi from Amegakure, Hanzo the Salamander, and the Root members were not forgotten.

"Let's go, Konan!"

Konan nodded but didn't speak at all, and Sora understood her reason a bit, although he couldn't sympathize.
