Thief's Plan

Gusion and the others ran into the forest, as they were trying to escape from Antoinerei. After about hours and hours of wandering into the forest, they eventually got tired and took a rest.

"God, how many hours have we been wandering in the middle of nowhere?" Ruby asked.

"It should be right here around somewhere..." Claude said, who was looking at Layla's map.

"The hell is that?" Gusion asked. "A treasure map?"

"See for yourself."

Claude handed over the map to Gusion. The others went behind him to look. It was the map of Antoinerei, except, something was wrong.

"I don't understand... There are no buildings in here."

"That's exactly why we're here."

"What are you talking about?" Lesley asked.

"I'll explain later." Layla replied.

They laid down on the ground. Gusion was wrapping his wounds with bandages, as Lesley and Ruby sat beside him. Layla laid on the dark grass, as she looked up into the branches of tall trees blocking the sky. Claude was listening to Granger's violin as he was taking out random stuff from his backpack.

"By the way Claude, thank you for helping us out back there, but we don't understand why you're actually following us, and why you saved me." Gusion said.

"I haven't actually told you guys yet sorry." Claude replied. "Basically I was arrested just days ago right? It was another clone that you were chasing."

"Woah, woah, woah. You're saying we arrested another clone all along?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah. I was watching you guys chase me down on my hotel room. From a camera from a helicopter."

"No, we can't just believe you in that part. During the trials, you admitted that you worked for the Abyss right? A.R.G.U.S. if I'm correct."

"Hahahahahaha! You guys actually fell for it! Everything I said during the trial was an absolute lie. Of course I wouldn't work for the Abyss."

"You mentioned about A.R.G.U.S. You work for that company right?"

"What do you mean A.R.G.U.S.??? That doesn't even exist!"

"Well, you said..."

"I just made that up! I couldn't think of anything so I come up with this."

"Hahaha! Good job partner!" Granger said, who high-fived Claude. "You really are the king of thieves!"

"Uhm... speaking of theft..."

Claude took out a large plastic bag from his backpack. It was full of supplies. Food, medical supplies, mana potions, ropes, and tools, and more random items.

"Woah! Where did you get all those?!" Lesley asked.

"I did a bit of shopping earlier morning. I robbed a grocery store in Grid 25."

"Thieves, being thieves." Ruby said.

"Let's leave now." Gusion said. "We have to keep moving."
