"So? Do you think any differently of me yet?" Eli asked Sarah.
She put a finger to her lips in thought, "a little, but I'm still going to be keeping an eye on you. I can't have you running around yet without my full trust."
"But, Alaric trusts me!"
"You and Alaric were roommates for a long time; of course, he would easily trust you."
The entire town was celebrating its release from the Empire, and the three of them were celebrating along with them.
However, Alaric knew the dangers that would come for them soon.
He spoke up, "the people can't stay here. You know that the Empire will come and crush all those who speak of rebellion. Or leaving the Empire."
Sarah asked, "well, where would they go? We don't have any land. We just have some people for now."
Eli suddenly had an idea, "do you think King Frederick in Weton would take them? As a temporary living measure?"
Alaric groaned, "he might. There's not an option right now. We need to get these people out of here, NOW."
