I was surprised when she hugged me to herself. I never thought she would come since it's already late but here she is.

"Baby" I mumbled but she hugged me more forgetting my stomach is till hurting, I endure it and return the hug also. I know whenever she is here with me, I don't care about anything else.

I let out a groan and she pulled away quickly.

"Oh I'm sorry, I forget, are you okay? " She ranted touching my belly and I chuckled. She worried too much,

"I'm fine" I replied and I heard her sighed.

"I thought you are not coming' I told her and she chuckled

" I said I was going to come" She reminded and I smile.

"But it's late" I protested and she chuckled.

"I missed you, Have you eaten? I trust Ma'am Gina already" She said and I chuckled.

"Come on, Let's take a seat" I said with my walking stick and we sat on the bench nearby.

"So you rushed down here because you missed me? " I asked snd she chuckled.

"You didn't missed me? " She asked and I scoffed, I have been missing her since she left.

"I did , I missed you so much," I said, holding her hand.

"Vincent, Can I ask a question? " She said and I nodded.

"Mrs Abi… " Her phone buzz interruptedly and she stop saying whatever she wanted to say and pick it up. I wondered what she wanted to ask?

"Hey Anita" She spoke up and sighed.

"I only dropped by to see someone,it's nothing" She protested and I wondered who she dropped by to see.

"I will soon come back, no way she is probably sleeping alone" She added and sighed again.

"Okay" She hung up and I cleared my throat.

"You are going back home? " I asked immediately and she breathed out.

"I really wish I can sleep over but I need to go now, My kid sister is always scared and can't sleep alone" She said and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Ben will drop you then" I said and she replied okay and left.

I heaved down and I remember she was asking questions earlier. Well that will be next time.

"Goodnight Miss Skylar" Mr Ben smiled as I alighted from the cab .

"Thank you so much" I smiled before walking inside. Everywhere is silent which makes me start doubting if Annie is inside.

Anita said she won't be coming home and I can't leave Annie alone.

"Annie" I called yet no response.

I opened the door to our room and there she is on bed hugging her knee to herself with her headset on her head.

She must be scared.

"Annie" I called, moving closer and she was surprised by bursting into tears.

"Skylar, I'm scared, don't ever leave me alone" She sobbed and I hugged her to my body.

"I'm sorry I did that, I will never do that again" I cooed while hugging her.

She is really a bitch, isn't she? I spent a lot on her yet she had to fall in love with that son of bitch.

If it had been someone it would have been better but not Vincent.

There is no fucking way I will lose to that motherfucker. I won't let her be with him

She belongs to me and I must have her.

She dared to betray my mother.

How did that Fucker even do it? Not like he is prettier than me, I don't know why she would fall for him.

"Good morning, Sir" I nodded as I walked into the company and my workers greeted me.

"Mr Vincent, How are you feeling now? " Evelyn asked and I smiled.

"Much better now, thanks" I said before walking into my office.

Skylar won't be coming today because

I told her to take a day off, so she can at least take a rest.

My belly hurt less now, all thanks to her, Ben and ma'am Gina.

I took my seat ready to work on Mr Quin's project, I didn't know he is a good man though because this is the first time we are working together

He even checked on me when I was shot.

I placed my hand on the laptop to open so as to start working but a knock came at the door.

"Come in" I answered and her scent filled my office, I told her not to come.

"Skylar? " I called surprised and I heard her chuckle.

"Good Morning sir, I bought your favorite coffee" She said and I chuckled, she is really amazing, isn't she? I didn't expect her to come after i told her not to come.

"But I told you not to come, didn't I? '' I said and she chuckled closer to me.

"So you want me to go back? " She whined and I shook my head.

"No, You are here already" I chuckled and took the coffee from her.

"Hmmmm" I smile,

"So your wound doesn't hurt anymore" She asked and i chuckled, she can be worried too much.

"Check it yourself" I said, raising my shirt and she cleared her throat. I felt her hand on my tummy sending a shiver down my body. Damn! Just her touch on my skin makes me vibrate.

"That is a relief. '' She mumbled and helped pull down my shirt.

"So i guessed we will be busy with Mr Quin's project now" She said and I nodded.

"Not really, Ben is already working on it" I told her.

"Wow that is good" She replied and I nodded.

"I will take my leave now sir"She said but her phone rang interrupted.

She didn't pick it, instead she muted it, so I wondered who was calling her.

" Skylar" I called and she answered.

"Who was that? " I asked and she scoffed.

"It's… my Sister" She shuttered and I nodded, I could tell she was lying.
