Why the fuck are they calling me again? After I told them I don't want to have anything to do with them. Can't them just leave me alone?

I had to lie to Vincent that it was my sister because I couldn't pick it up in front of him. If he knows that I'm sent here by his stepmother, it won't be a small matter so I had to muted it till I got to my office.

I glance over his office and he is already working on his laptop.

I brought out my phone to call Mrs Abigail back.

She picked up at first ring and Scoffed.

"Seriously, you are avoiding my calls now, You don't know you are playing a dangerous game with me" She said and I palmed my face, what should I do? I know I'm playing a dangerous game but I can't hurt Vincent either.

"Mrs Abigail, I said i don't want to have anything to do with you please and don't hurt vincent anymore, Also I will refund the money you gave me" I pleaded hoping she will just stop all these.

She scoffed again and I sighed.

"No way, you are not the one to tell me to stop, I just call to warn you if you don't get me that document in the next three days, your sister will be in danger" She huffed and I sprang up in fury.

"Don't you dare touch my sister, she is out of this" I said aloud but keep it down so It won't draw Vincent's attention, she chuckled over the phone.

"You do my job to keep her safe then"with that she hung up.

Oh goodness! What is all this? They shouldn't bring Annie into this,what to do now? I can't bring my sister into all this shit.

My gaze fell on Vincent and sighed again.

I'm totally confused right now.

VINCENT

I dropped John's call and sighed. I knew she is lying about the call earlier because i know if it was to be her sister, she would have pick immediately, but why is she lying?

Shortly, the door opened and I could tell who it was already.

"Sir, I've accounted everything," Evelyn said, giving me the files I asked her to calculate.

"You should call the supplier to supply the goods we will be needing for the new site" I told her.

"Okay sir, I will do that. '' She replied before walking out. For now, let's focus on Mr Quin's project.

I got home tiredly, I couldn't even eat well because I'm so worried. I'm Scared too, I don't want them to hurt my sister or Vincent. They are both important to me.

"Hey babe, Are you okay? " I looked at Anita who sat down with popcorn in her hand. I glanced at her and heaved down.

She stopped munching and looked into my eyes.

"What is wrong? Are you okay? " She asked worriedly, I can't tell her, she didn't know i'm working under JB company because i'm on a mission. She can't know, I don't want to involve anyone else in these.

"Skylar! " She shouted and I jolted, she scoffed and looked around.

She suddenly placed her hand on my forehead, checking maybe I'm sick..

"I'm just tired. '' I replied causally but she scoffed.

"Should I call Mr Vincent?" She said and I scoffed. Why will she wants to do that?

"Anita, I'm fine, I just need a nap" I stood up and walked inside. I walked in and Annie's baby was fast asleep. I adjusted the duvet on her body and patted her body gently.

I should go beg Mrs Abigail. She shouldn't hurt my sister.

<NEXT MORNING>7AM>

I woke up early to prepare breakfast, I was still in the kitchen when Annie entered with a long face and I stopped whatever I'm doing.

"Baby, what is wrong with you? " I held her hand and she sighed.

"Sis, it's too lonely, You leave for work everyday and Anita too, I'm always alone at home, I hate it" She said and I sighed.

"Annie, listen I'm sorry i didn't have time for you, I really want to but my work won't let me" I said and she sighed again.

"I want to go back to school" She uttered. Not now, I'm yet to refund Mrs Abigail's money.

She had to stop back then because we barely can eat three squares meal and also because of her health.

"Please sister, You are working now, I want to go back to school, Your boss is nice and we are eating too, I'm fine now please I want to go back to school" She said and I forced a smile.

"I will work on it okay" I said and she hugged me.

"Thank sister, I love you" She ranted and I chuckled.

"What is that your dream again? " I asked and she chuckled.

"You know I've always wanted to be a singer, Upcoming Arianna Grande" She bragged while I laughed. Truly, Arianna Grande has always been her favorite artist.

"Sure" I laugh and smile.

"I will go take my bath" She said and rushed out.

I heaved down and faced what I was doing before.

I have to try and make her happy but I need money to send her to school and now i've to refund Mrs Abigail's money.

I made my way to Mrs Abigail's house and luckily, I met her at home. I already told Vincent, I will be coming late to the office today and he understands.

I walked into the huge mansion with one heart and I met her seated on the couch holding a glass of wine. She sipped her wine while I entered slowly. I bowed slightly, but she only smirked.

"You are here" She said and I gulped, I had to swallow my pride to knee before her.

"Ma'am please don't hurt my sister" I pleaded but she only chuckled.

"You are here to beg? '' She said with that devil smile of hers.

"Don't bring my sister into this" I ad she stood up walking to my figure and I looked up at her.

She slowly and raised my chin with her long nails.

" I like you so much to hurt you and your sister," She said calmly.

"But do what I ask you to do and we will be fine" She smule and rubbed my cheek.

I don't think I have a choice right now.

" You have to choose between your sister or Vincent" She said and I gulped. Oh goodness!

I have to choose between my sister and love right now. Why is this happening to me? Why me?

"Dear Skylar, choose wisely" She mumbled and in anger I swatted her hand away. I don't think I can choose.

"Don't you dare touch any of them! " I yelled before walking out of her house. I thought she will accept my pleading but no. I can't hurt any of them.
