65. Allison Faye
"What?! How can you not agree? I haven't even told you the numbers yet!"
"What do you mean how can I not agree, it is my choice whether I agree or not isn't it. There is nothing more to discuss about it" said Andy and shook his head.
"If it is not the money that you want, then what else?" mrs Astley refused to believe that she can't buy this commoner child.
"What I want right now is to finish my work here and go back home to practice my massage skills!"
'Damn tonight I thought of finally eating my mother but I got stuck in this mess, I hope mother is not asleep yet!' thought Andy.
Before mrs Astley could say anything else, headmistress said
"These things can be negotiated later on as well, let's first wake up your daughter and ask her what happened. There is probably someone targeting your Faye family as your daughter is next in line to become matriarch."
"Tsk fine. Yes, please wake up my daughter first" mrs Astley was very annoyed that she couldn't make the deal with a commoner healer, but her daughter came first.
Headmistress then went near the sleeping girl and touched her forehead, soon she started opening her eyes.
"Mmm.."
"Allison, are you alright?" asked mrs Astley worriedly and held her daughter's hand
"..Mother?"
"Yes sweetheart, your mother is here and so is Ryan, how are you feeling?"
"Sister are you alright?" asked Allison's brother, Ryan.
"Mother, Ryan what happened, why am I here?"
After Allison gained a bit of conscience, she realised she wasn't in her home.
"You are in the magic academy right now, here we have headmistress and her apprentice with us. Do you remember what happened? You sent a distress signal outside the capital city, when I got there you were already severely injured." said mrs Astley with tears in her eyes.
Allison thought about it for a bit, her memory was still a bit hazy. After sometime her eyes widened and said
"Yes mother! When I was returning to the capital city after taking care of the business as you asked me to, out of nowhere, I was attacked by a man. He was wearing a mask so I couldn't tell who he was and he was riding on a tiger like magic beast." explained Allison
Both mrs Astley and Ryan was boiling with anger after hearing this, just who was this man and why was he targeting their family.
"How can you be so sure that he was a man if he was wearing a mask?" asked headmistress.
"Because I heard his voice headmistress. After attacking me when I was in a very bad state and about to lose my consciousness, he said that he was sorry and was only following orders."
"Did you come in direct physical contact with him, do you remember? He casted a very powerful curse on you"
Allison thought for a second and said
"Yes headmistress, he once struck my abdomen with his palm, his palm had a green glow at that time."
"Hm thats explains it, do you remember anything else about him that might help us figure out who he was?"
"Not much headmistress, he had black hairs and tall build, I would say around 180 cm or so and his magical beast was probably a high-tier magical beast."
"Alright, at least we have some lead now, there are not many beast tamer clans out there, we can begin our investigation" said headmistress
"Hm, and thank you headmistress for saving my life. Before I lost my consciousness I never thought I will ever be able to open my eyes again" said Allison with tears in her eyes.
"Don't thank me, I wasn't able to do anything except extend your life a little bit. All the credit goes to my apprentice standing here. He is the one who figured out how to counter the curse and gave you the health potion. Well I wouldn't go into the details about lifting the curse part to not bore you, but his actions were exceptional and decisive."
"No way!" Allison then turned towards Andy and was shocked to see he was actually younger than her... and a bit cute.
"T-Thank you for saving me, may I ask you what your name is" asked Allison while slightly blushing.
Andy was a bit surprised by her reaction, he thought she would have the same temperament as her mother, but that didn't seem to be the case.
"My name is Andy. Please don't worry about it miss Allison, I was just doing my job."
"Andy.. so you are that famous healer boy in town which every girl- I mean everyone is talking about? I finally got to meet you! When I tell my friends about this they will be so jealous~ Hehe"
"Watch your tone young lady, thats not the way a noble should act" reprimanded Allison's mother.
"I am sorry mother"
"Hm? Miss Allison you might be confusing me with someone else, I am not famous at all, no one recognises me even when I go to some public place" said Andy
Allison quickly forgot about what her mother just said and continued
"Hehe, that is because very few people has actually seen you in person, but everyone talks about you~ I can see now where the good rumours come from"
Allison then tried sitting up in excitement but couldn't because her body felt extremely weak.
"Ah why am I not able to use my mana?" Allison's cheerful expression immediately changed and she asked the question whose answer she didn't want to know.
After a brief pause, mrs Astley replied
"I am sorry Allison, but in the last attack your meridians got severely damaged."
"No way!" Allison's body shook and tears started flowing out of her eyes as she started sobbing thinking that her life was over. There were too many expectations from her. How could a cripple lead and protect her Faye family? Wouldn't she be just a burden to her family now?
Looking at such a cheerful girl cry like this, everyone's heart broke. Mrs Astley couldn't take it anymore and said
"Don't worry about it Allison, this boy here will soon learn how to heal meridians and will heal you."
"What really?!" asked Allison in disbelief, she thought for a second that her mother was just saying this to cheer her up.
Before Andy could say anything, mrs Astley continued
"Little healer, let's talk about this some other time shall we?"
Andy nodded, he didn't want to see this girl cry again, so he might as well punish mrs Astley for her bad attitude, then heal her daughter.
