66. Talk with headmistress

Andy then turned towards Allison and said

"Miss Allison, don't worry, although it will take some time, I will definitely heal your meridians"

"Thank you doctor Andy" said Allison as tears fell from her eyes, when she heard it directly from Andy himself, she felt a bit of hope.

Andy slightly nodded then turned to look at headmistress

"Master now that my work here is done, can I go back to my home now?"

'Mother might still be awake!' thought Andy

"Wait little healer, take this with you. Just drop a bit of your blood on it." said mrs Astley and handed him a platinum card which had Faye written on top and VIP in the middle.

"You will get all services for free in any of my store if you show this card. Think of this as payment for saving my daughter's life earlier."

Andy was about to decline, when headmistress said

"Just take it little boy, not accepting gifts from your senior is rude. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to"

Andy then nodded and took the card and dropped a bit of his blood on it. The card immediately went blank and when Andy passed his mana through it, its content reappeared. This card was now Andy's property and can't be used by anyone else, it will only work when Andy passes his mana through it.

"Thank you mrs Astley"

"I should be the one thanking you little healer for saving my daughter. And regarding other thing, we will continue our negotiations later."

"Alright then, I will be going now" said Andy in a hurry

"What the hurry little boy, come to my living quarters first, I want to talk about your theory on healing meridians, it will only take a couple of hours"

'$@#%&' Andy cursed his master in his mind

"Master can't we do this later, my mother must be worried by now" Andy tried convincing her.

"She already saw me when I went to your home to get you, so I am sure she should be getting ready to go to bed right now without any worries."

"Please excuse us, mrs Astley" said headmistress and dragged Andy with her.

After they entered headmistress' living quarters inside the magic academy, headmistress invited Andy to sit in the living room, and then she herself sat in front of him in the couch.

"You shouldn't despise mrs Astley too much because of her attitude, although her mouth might be rude but she has a good heart inside. You are only the 3rd person who has this Faye platinum card besides me and the king himself. Using it you can buy the entire stores of Faye family without paying anything"

"Isn't it just the way to bribe me into healing her daughter's meridians"

"Haah that is true but did she ever threaten you to heal her daughter? She always tried negotiating with you. If it was some other noble family's patriarch, what do you think would have happened? Anyway she has been the richest person in this entire country for a long time now, and that by a large margin too. That is why she has this mentality of money can buy everything, including a person."

Andy thought about it for a second and nodded

"Alright master I will not be 'too' mad at her. Anyway I have decided to heal her daughter's meridians, this card doesn't mean anything. Also I like to buy things for my family and women with my own money instead of someone's charity."

"I understand, I have also never used this card to get anything for free. It is mostly a form of status. If you encounter a case when you can't get a table in a Faye family's restaurant during some festival or busy hours, you can use this card. They will throw out a customer if they have to and will immediately make space for you."

Andy simply nodded and didn't say anything.

"Alright shall we discuss about your research on healing meridians?"

"Yes master, I have already formulated a theory which involves sending my mana to the patient's meridians. As you already know my mana is a bit special and contains the sun nature, due to that unlike others I can still control my mana even if it leaves my body, and can use my mana present in patient's body to slowly heal their meridians from inside." Andy gave bunch of BS so that headmistress would allow him to send his mana inside her meridians.

Headmistress was shocked when she heard he could control the mana which has already left his body and looked at him with wide eyes.

"So that is the reason you are so good at diagnosing a patient?! This will open a whole new world to us in the healing area, not just healing you can probably use this property in battles as well!" she thought he uses his mana to probe around patient's body to find the problem, that is why he is so good at it.

"Well you could say that I guess" Andy didn't prepare much in advance before he blabbered about his stupid idea.

"First your mother and aunt, and now you. Arden family's blood really is something else." said headmistress then her expression turned grim thinking about the past events.

Seeing headmistress' expression Andy asked

"Master can you tell me what exactly happened in the past? And also who was responsible for my father's death later on?"

"Haah, even I don't know what happened to your father. I was still in prison at the time because I killed a few old bastards in Arden family after Lily's father destroyed her meridians. When I heard the news about your father I immediately rioted in prison for them to release me, but the king didn't let me out. There was a curse placed on my body during my term in prison, so I couldn't do anything but wait till my sentence was over"

"Do you think the king was behind it" asked Andy while clenching his fist.

"No, he probably didn't have anything to do with your father's death. Our king is a good person and will not stoop so low as to killing a commoner because of some past envy. The king never bothered your mother or her family after he came to know that your mother married a commoner. It was your maternal grandfather who acted on his own accord and destroyed your mother's meridians to get in the good books of the king, he was also planning to kill her husband and hand over his crippled daughter to the king to do as he pleased with her. But before he could do that, I arrived in the Arden family mansion..."

After a brief pause, headmistress continued

"Alright I think this is enough talk about history for a day, let's go back to the meridians topic. Do you think you can try it out right away on me?" After headmistress finished her last sentence, her face blushed a little.
