Reincarnation From Villainess to Princess: Journey to Being Empress

Tianshi Xue was pretty sure she already died. After falling into the depths of the sea and feeling her last breath leave her body… she was sure she was going to the afterlife. But then she woke up. In another woman’s body. And that body belonged to a princess. — Tianshi Xue was a popular model turned actress. She was known for her striking looks and not-so-good ways in the business. A lot of people admired her for the lengths she was willing to go just to be successful. But a lot of people also hated her. She was not even surprised that someone killed her—or at least tried to. She woke up in the body of Princess Lin Yingyue, the daughter of the tyrant emperor from the Shānmài Empire, promised to marry the second prince of the Hépíng Empire. But because of a sudden invasion, Tianshi Xue—now Princess Yingyue was forced to marry the man she loathed from the moment she heard his name, the notorious young general, 3rd Prince Yang Qui. Tianshi Xue found herself living in the palace—a place that housed more drama than the TV. With her new body and title as a princess, Tianshi Xue was bent on trying to find the person who wanted her dead. But on the more important note: If death was necessary for souls to transfer to another body, does that mean that the princess died also? Or did someone tried to kill her too? — Photo on the cover is not mine. Credits to the owner of the beautiful work! REMINDERS: (You will be redirected here in case you seem to forget) 1. Evil But Beautiful

Tianshi Xue wanted to fall asleep. "Damn," she whispered to herself. "Just how uncomfortable did the princess' body get when she's in the middle of her period?"

She tried pillowing her head on her hands and using her bag as a pillow for her leg. But it was like the lower back of this body wanted to keep hurting despite. It was clear that she needed a better pillow to be able to help herself get through the night.

She tried anyway, closing her eyes and emptying her mind. As soon as she was about to drift to sleep, her body was screaming in cramps and pain. She was trying to ignore her stomach with the way that it kept twisting inside her. The doctor even got her some pain relievers. It helped for awhile until the effect worn off.

She knew that the doctor would not give her more than the suggested dosage so she kept her mouth shut about it and endured.

But even the strong Tianshi Xue had her own limits and she also wanted to fall asleep—especially in this trying time.

She wrapped her face with a shawl and quietly opened the door of her shack. She did a check and found that most of the soldiers were already asleep. One pair of feet was missing from the flap and she saw Bolin walking around in a circle of the camp.

Good, it was just Bolin.

She would have hated if it was Aiguo who was awake. He had been so distant with her that she was already wondering if she did something wrong with him.

"Oh!" Bolin exclaimed when he saw her stepping out.

"Shh!" she said, pressing a finger to her lips then pointed to the tent of the prince.

Bolin's smile was like headlights in the dark. He nodded and proceeded with his rounds.

Tianshi Xue crept up slowly to the tent. She did not want other people to know that she was really waking up the prince. It would spare her some embarrassment.

She closed her hand on the prince's ankle and she almost yelped when he darted upright, eyes wide and alert.

When he saw that it was her, the tension on his shoulders relaxed. "You shouldn't do that to a sleeping soldier. I could've stabbed you in surprise. What do you want?"

She pursed her lips and pointed to her shack and the prince sighed in understanding. He just nodded and she dashed off to her open door. She tried to lie peacefully on the bed while waiting for the prince, her heart thumping in nervousness.

"Why should I even be nervous?" she asked herself. "Snap out of it," she said and tapped on her cheeks a few times.

She turned her back to the door, but as soon as her heart calmed, she heard her door open and it was off running again like she had horses in her chest.

Prince Qui was smirking as he gathered his sword from his belongings. She gave up, huh? his mind whispered. She was going to ask for his help anyway.

He was feeling smug as he walked to her shack but wiped the grin off his face as he entered. He did not want to make her more uncomfortable than she already was. He still had some kindness left in his heart.

He found her facing the wall, her posture rigid. He placed his sword by the wall, easy reach from the bed. "Which side do you feel like sleeping?" he asked her.

She did not answer but moved her body closer to the wall. The prince got on the bed and readied himself by making sure that he was in a comfortable position as he would not be moving for the next few hours.

"I'm ready," he said, lifting an arm to accomodate her.

The princess finally turned, not looking at his eyes, and placed herself in the circle of his arm. It had been cold in the tent and her body's warmth immediately heated him up.

"Have a good night sleep, Princess," he said.

Tianshi Xue was debating with herself if she should ask him if she could place her leg above his. "Screw that," her mind said, she would just wait a few minutes and pretend that she already fell asleep.

So she waited, a few minutes, counting in her head until she could finally lift her leg and—

She almost sighed because of the relief of just changing her position. The pain in her lower back eased and she moved closer, putting her hand on the prince's warm chest—she was simply, trying to envelope herself to him.

When she was stretched and the pain was already minimum she took a deep breath and got ready to sleep.

"Are you okay?"

Tianshi Xue's eyes popped open.

"I know you're awake."

She still did not move.

"Ah, still pretending, I see," he said. "Suit yourself."

She panicked and did what she thought she did best. She moaned and moved, making her best impression of a person being awakened by sound. She did not expect for the prince to laugh at her futile attempts to convince him that she was asleep.

"Well," the prince coughed laughter. "Have fun pretending. This will be one of the things that I would not let you get away in the future. Just imagine the shame."

Tianshi Xue's face heated up and she brought herself upwards, glaring at the evil but beautiful prince under her.
