Chapter Viktor's Funeral

Amelia arrived at Orgdraz and the news of Viktor did slightly shock her.But she schooled her features and called for an investigation on Viktor's death and on Kraven.

Amelia made to sure wake up Marcus,just to make sure they can handle the issues at hand.

Let's just say everything was against Kraven from witnesses who saw him ran away in fear to CCTV footage outside the Crypt.

So like Fenris planned a huge bounty was placed on Kraven,but this was not it his followers although dwindled a lot,still had good number and his fanatical follower Semira came to Orgadr.

They held funeral in his honor and Selene kept her disgust in check.This is when she saw the one Fenris had warned her about Semira,who has pale skin and black hair and electric blue eyes.

Next to her was man with dark blonde hair and electric blue eyes

Marcus activating privacy stone that Fenris gave him whispered to Selene"That is Varga,he's the lover of Semira.Although Semira may see her self as the leader,but in reality he is the true ruler of the Eastern Coven.Also he may seem loyal to Semira,but Varga is a man of duty and a staunch traditionalist, loyal to the Elders above everything."

Marcus was able to get Varga to their side,it was not hard because even with his skills Semira constantly berated and dismissed him as nothing,but another dumb muscle.

Selene nodded and questioned"Does she have support in Elite Council?"

The Vampire Council, also known as the Elite Council, is a group of chosen Vampires that were overseen by the Vampire Elders. They are the most powerful Vampires within the Vampire society, second only to the Elders, and are responsible for deciding laws and political matters, as well as passing judgment on Vampires who have broken the Coven's laws.

Selene knows everything regarding Council politics because of Fenris warning her.

She was broken out of her thought when Marcus shook his head and replied"No,she lost half of her power after she foolishly supported all Viktor's plans for going after Fenris and other werewolves,so when all of them failed the Council's support also waned with time."

Selene who acted sad during the procession could feel Semira glare piercing her back.Selene knew Semira harbour a deep seated jealously and later an intense hatred for her, stemming from the fact she replaced her as Viktor's favoured progeny.

While Semira also has doubts about Viktor's death especially,since she knew Selene past.But with so much witnesses and proof that Selene wasn't even in the same state at the time of Viktor's death made her stop guessing in that direction and started sending her minions to find Kraven.Who seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

While Selene ignored the subtle glares from Semira ,while Marcus was explaining to her the change in political climate with Viktor's death and who will be the next elder"There is Cassius,who is the oldest member after Amelia,then their is Orsov and Coloman.But the later two are loyal to me and doesn't want the power that comes with being an elder."

Selene asked"What about Lena?"

Marcus hummed seeing the possibility,but shook his head and replied"I don't know,the Nordic coven has not involved themselves in politics for a long time.But if you can get her to participate,then chances are there."

Selene nodded,while she also spotted Thomas who was Amelia's lover and the man had similar air to Viktor.But was much easier to get along with and he didn't have anything against Fenris for what happened with Amelia.But again Amelia had baby girl just a century ago.So they have a much better relationship than before.
