Ch 34:- Training Peter

Rayne moved towards the forested region were less students go before messaging to both Vorden and Peter through the wristband. As Rayne was waiting for both Vorden and Peter to arrive at the park, he began to practice some of his martial arts moves. Suddenly, a system notification appeared.

[Your Inventory has been restored. Check to see if anything is missing.]

Upon seeing the message, Rayne quickly opened his inventory. To his relief, all of his soul shards, weapons, armor, potions and pills, magic tomes, herbs, medicinal alchemical ingredients, cauldron, various gold and silver artifacts, gems, stones, diamonds, and much more were all in perfect condition. It was as if the whole king's vault was within his palm, both metaphorically and literally.

As he scrolled through the items one piece of armor caught his eye it was the piece of armor that caused him to lose all his power. Summoning its information, he examined it closely.

[Item: Shadow Dragon Suit

He decided against summoning it after reading the description and decided to search for a mind-protection related technique in the library later on. After that, he kept on practicing, and finally, after a while, he sensed Vorden and Peter coming. As Vorden and Peter finally reached the clearing, they were greeted by the sight of trees with several depressions present on it, either in the form of punches or kicks. Other than that, there were several rocks, but their thoughts were interrupted when Rayne said, "You finally came. Hey, Vorden, did you get the ability I asked you to get?" "Yeah, I got it," Vorden said. After that, Rayne called Peter to a corner and asked him to brief him on how his ability works. After listening carefully, he then prescribed a training regimen for him, which included both physical and mental training, along with clever ways to enhance his earth ability usage. After that, he went to Vorden and asked him to spar with him while using his ability. Vorden hesitated for a bit, but Rayne convinced him not to worry about it too much. After that, both Rayne and Vorden faced each other, ready to spar. Rayne took a deep breath and focused on his opponent, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Vorden charges forward with a hard punch, but Rayne sidesteps it and delivers a powerful roundhouse kick to Vorden's torso. Vorden blocks the kick with his hardened body, but he still feels the impact and staggers back.

Rayne follows up with a spinning back kick aimed at Vorden's head, but Vorden manages to block it with his arm. He counterattacks with a flurry of punches and kicks, but Rayne dodges and blocks them with ease.

Rayne then unleashes a rapid series of kicks aimed at Vorden's midsection, but Vorden blocks them all with his hardened body. He retaliates with a powerful kick that hits Rayne's chest, causing him to stumble back.

Vorden charges forward again, aiming to finish the fight with a powerful punch, but Rayne ducks under it and delivers a spinning hook kick to Vorden's jaw. Vorden stumbles back, dazed but still standing.

Rayne continues the attack with a flying side kick, but Vorden blocks it with his arm. He counterattacks with a hard punch that hits Rayne's face, causing him to stumble back once again.

The fight continues for several minutes, with both fighters showing off their skills and trying to gain the upper hand. However, Vorden's hardened body gives him the advantage, and he manages to block most of Rayne's attacks.

Finally, Rayne sees an opening and delivers a swift kick to Vorden's knee, causing him to falter. Rayne then follows up with a jumping kick to Vorden's chest, knocking him down to the ground. Rayne stands victorious, panting but elated, and offers his hand to help Vorden up.

"You did great," Rayne said, panting as he pulled Vorden up to his feet.

"What level of hardening ability was that?" Rayne asked, catching his breath.

"It's level 4," Vorden replied, checking his wristband. "But damn, you're so much more powerful than I am."

"I'm not that powerful. It's the magic of my skills," Rayne replied modestly. "And I don't think I have much time left, so let's start training you, Peter."

Rayne called Peter over to him and asked, "What weapon are you most comfortable with?"

Peter immediately grabbed the mud he had been carrying around and fashioned a bo staff out of it.

Rayne took the mud-crafted bo staff from Peter's hand and examined it carefully. He nodded his head and handed it back to Peter.

"Good choice," he said. "A bo staff is a great weapon to use with your earth ability. But, you need to learn how to use it properly."

Rayne then proceeded to teach Peter the basics of using a bo staff. He showed him how to hold the staff, how to spin it, and how to strike with it. As Peter got the hang of it, Rayne increased the difficulty of the exercises.

"Now, let's see how you do against me," Rayne said as he picked up a piece of wood that resembled the shape of a baton.

Peter lunged forward, striking at Rayne with his bo staff. Rayne deftly dodged the attack and countered with a swift strike of his own, which Peter blocked.

They continued to spar back and forth, with Rayne giving Peter tips and tricks along the way. He taught Peter how to use his bo staff in conjunction with his abilities.

As the sun began to set, Rayne called a halt to the training session. Peter was panting heavily, but he had a grin on his face.

"That was amazing! Thank you so much for teaching me," Peter said, beaming with pride.

"You did great," Rayne said, patting Peter on the back.

After returning to his dorm room, Rayne took a long shower. While doing so, he decided to summon one of his most cherished possessions, an O-katana named Chisakki. The blade allowed the user to control the blood of the individual they had stained. After inspecting it more carefully, he swung the sword to get the feel of it. Once done, he stored it back into his inventory. Then, he summoned a spear with an obsidian black handle. The spearhead glowed red as if it was channeling the blood energy from his body and concentrating it at the tip. Several swirling red lines, like a river with blood flowing through them, were engraved on it. Rayne twirled it for a bit, admiring its beauty, and then stored it away in his inventory. He didn't want to activate its ability and destroy the wall of his dorm room, which was the only place he had to live alone.

After getting ready, Rayne went to his job at the manga store and like that yet another day was spent doing idle things. During their journey back home he asked about her team that she would be going with hearing the name of the people that were in her team Rayne was a little bit relieved because he knew most of them he knew Daphne and Kim both of whom were high level user and we're in her team.
