The next day arrived, and Rayne spent it in a rather unconventional way. He utilized his system to hack into the dark web through the school library and auctioned off several of his ancient gold artifacts, which were no longer of any use to him. This earned him a whopping 120,000 credits. With the aid of routing and hacking another student's account, he then deposited the funds into his primary account. The items he sold included a golden chalice adorned with three sapphire gems, a ball mask, and a gold necklace with intricate gem work.

Later that day, he spent most of his time in combat classes, refining his moves, and sometimes challenging other students to a quick sparring match. After that, it was time for him to work at the manga store. While heading home, he engaged in a conversation with Selene, discussing the possible beasts they might face and other trivial topics. Upon returning to his dorm room, he focused on training his blood control by creating several orbs of blood and orbiting them around himself. He also created a to-do list, which he needed to complete before the portal outing in two days.

The to-do list included buying a PC and a printer capable of printing 3D metal parts, a temporary sniper rifle, and various beast weapons he thought he might require. He also planned on setting up a workstation in his room where he could concoct pills and create miscellaneous items. Additionally, he needed to apply for a forging station soon.

"Phew, I have a lot of things to do," Rayne sighed, gazing at the floating window where he had converted all his tasks to quests to help him remember each one.

A new day had arrived, and Rayne went through his morning hygiene routine before heading to the canteen to fill his stomach with food. His meals usually consisted of salad and a large mug of plain coffee. It had been a few days since he had last drunk blood, and he was already starting to feel the hunger pangs. After his morning classes, there was a short break before the combat class began, so Rayne decided to use this time to buy a few things. After the combat classes were over, Rayne directed Vorden to get a fire ability along with another ability of his choice on the day of the portal outing as it would be helpful. Then, he went to work at the manga store. Although it was a job, it felt more like a place where he could chill while chatting with Selene and other manga enthusiasts.

As Selene and Rayne were returning to their dorm room, they saw Peter rush into his room in a panicked way. Rayne excused himself and went to Peter, grabbing his shoulder. Peter shuddered before saying, "I didn't do anything. I am sorry." before entering into the dorm room and locking the door. Rayne felt confused as to what had happened. Suddenly, he felt a headache, and a vision appeared in his mind. It was a first-person view of a gauntleted hand punching through a giant rat-like beast. The vision immediately ended, and Rayne stumbled before falling on his backside. He felt something wet leaking from his nose and saw blood on his finger as he wiped his nose.

"What was that?" Rayne asked, still confused

He immediately went into his room and unpacked all the things that he had bought. He set up the PC before logging in and then made a custom circuit board order, as well as an order for five basic tier beast crystals. As there was still a little bit of time left before curfew started, he dashed to the storage room, where he entered the combination for both of his orders. A few seconds later, two boxes appeared. One was small and the other one was large. After that, he dashed back to his room, unpacked both boxes, set up the circuit board contraption before plugging it into his PC, and then connecting it to his wristband, which acted as his lifeline, tracker, and also as a Mutant Cell counter. After connecting it and doing a little bit of tweaking, he removed the wristband from his hand. As expected, it still pinged his location while showing that he was still wearing it. He had successfully hacked his wristband into thinking that he was still wearing it without actually wearing it.

After that, he started his work by summoning an ink bar and some calligraphy tools. He then took out a bunch of paper and started writing on them some unknown kanji. After 12 minutes, he had made 12 Kanji, and he was now exhausted. He then took out a scroll and unrolled it on the floor before drawing a bunch of Kanji on it. After that, he placed 4 beast crystals on it. As soon as he placed them on it, they melted before all of their energy got channelled into the writing, making them glow. After that, he packed the talisman that he had just made into his inventory before changing into his hunter attire and sneakily exiting the school grounds. He made his way towards the portal room. On his way, he took out a talisman and activated it, making him turn invisible. Then, he made his way to the portal.

After entering the portal room, Rayne faced a great problem, there were too many portals, and he didn't know which one to enter. So, he asked his system to scan the energy signature of each portal before showing him the details on each of the planets that they connected to. After that, he made a quick deduction before deciding that the highest chances would be Planet Pioletic. It was a red-colored portal planet. As he was readying himself, he heard the footsteps of people approaching. Without thinking twice, he jumped into the portal.

As he jumped into the red portal, he felt a tingling sensation all over his body. The world around him started to warp and displace, and his mind felt like it was melting. It wasn't a horrible feeling. In fact, the feeling received when traveling through the teleportation device even felt addicting to some. A few moments later, Rayne reached his destination. He felt the breeze blowing as he opened his eyes. He saw that he was falling from a great height. He maneuvered himself midair before summoning a knife and wrapping a talisman around it. Then, he threw it at the ground before disappearing from his spot in a puff of smoke and appearing on the ground beside the knife. He had just used a teleportation talisman, just like the Flying Thunder God technique from Naruto. Reading manga can inspire many folks nowadays.

After arriving at the edge of the destroyed city, Rayne began to make his way through it. He spotted several basic tier beasts along the way, which he easily defeated. Not wanting to waste time killing them, he decided to walk on the high ground, the rooftops. As he traversed the city, he noticed various dead beasts lying on the ground. He followed their traces, which led him to a building filled with multiple beasts. From there, he decided to make his way towards the storage sector. However, he realized that it was close to 7:00 am, which meant that classes would soon start. Knowing that Quinn was alive if the traces were anything to go by, he then summoned a scroll from his inventory and activated it by dropping his blood. He vanished with a shimmer of light, reappearing in his dorm room. He immediately desummoned his armor and fell onto the bed, feeling exhausted. He then asked his system, "How far is Planet Pioletic? I feel super exhausted." It felt like his whole Qi reserve was depleted. If not for the basic tier crystal that he was holding onto, it would have also exhausted his main life force.
