"Add the pet store right in front of us" Su Ping said telepathically.

As the system finished its reports, promptly, the store changed completely the previous pungent smell of urine and animal feces was gone. At the same time, the store appeared to be tidier and cleaner. The items were the same as before but the outlook was completely new.

As soon as he went inside, Su Ping noticed two rows of stone cages.

It was more like a strange stone array than stone cages.

Several stalagmites rose straight from the ground and surrounded the two Astral Pets.

These were the [nursing pens] the system mentioned.

He threw a look at the two pets in the stone array.

Now, one of the pets in the pen was a Lightning Rat, an inferior grade Battle Pet of the agile type. The probability of Lightning Rats evolving was quite low.

The other one was a moon chasing hound, another lower ranked pet but this pet is one of the main pet of the protagonist and with the system the pet became top tire.

Su Ping considered his options and chose Lightning Rat. As for the reason, he could make multiple but he knew the main reason was because the girl was cute and her ending in the novel was quiet sad.

She was a wifu and being a man of culture if possible he would like her to be by his side. That's all there is to it. This is world where one can have multiple partners and he was not exempt or averse to the prospect.

Now he knows there would be countless girls more beautiful than her who would gladly join him when he becomes strong but for him a wifu is wifu, unless Su Yanying is totally different from what he knows he plans to pursue her romantically, whether its successful or not that depends on her and his luck.

As soon as the system finished the sentence , a holographic list appeared in front of him. The list sowed multiple cultivation sites/ training sites he could choose from but at the moment only one was available.

Cultivation sites were special places, comprised of special environment that could promote growth of pets or people when they cultivate or train there.

Cultivation sites are ranked by their potency and the strongest being that can be found in them

They basically goes from Low-Mid-Advance-Top with strongest entity in them being Star lord- Ascension- Celestial- Dao heart/ Dao Ancestor.

According to what he knows both from novel and from original's memory the Thunder Cloud Realm is an ancient birth site of Astral Pets in the thunder family that was broken and long gone. But the one here is the original and complete plane and is at bottom of advance cultivation sites.

After confirming the selection a space crack appeared in front of him from which he felt a strong force sucking him toward the crack with the surreal white light.

The sky and earth were spinning around.

Then, it turned pitch dark.

When he regained his sight, he saw a blurry white mist and heard the rolling sounds of dull thunders.

He found himself in a vast area surrounded by giant trees. Clouds and fog were in the sky tens of meters away from the top of the trees. Purple lightning flashed amid the cloud and mist. The clear sky with countless stars twinkling could be seen through the thinner areas in the sea of clouds and mist along with giant planets, near and far, it felt like multiple Saturn and Jupiter were just above the sky and could be reached just by traveling in a Airplane.

For someone who never traveled out of country or state for that matter it was a breath taking sight.

Su Ping took a deep breath and looked around, seeing no around in vicinity he crouched down patting the Lightning Rat making it bit jumpy.

"Hey system if I want to train a pet its meals will play an important role in it and knowing everything the pet I am training is also essential, since I have no knowledge on these things would it possible for you to provide me with Pet identification, Pet food identification and storage function"

[Denied, things will only be provided as quest reward by system or host can use energy points to buy them when the shop is open]

"I see, but I just didn't wanted to feed pets anything that will harm them, it may be fine in cultivation sites since they can revive and it will help them adapt but I if I don't have the knowledge and resources from cultivation sites I can only feed the pets currently in store some low quality food and without knowing any thing about the pet I can only train him in barbaric way, if you are fine with the best pet store providing low quality service to the pets for now then it can't be helped. Its just a pity for the pets"

After system finished speaking a lot of information was poured in Su Ping's mind.

After the information transfer was over he used the Pet identification spell on the lightning rat

Taking his current capability, information he has about novel and infinite revival granted by the system that can be used to either revive on the spot or revive on a random location, he drafted a rough plan for the next seven days.

It was a three step plan for now

Step 1: Gathering and Discharging Lightning energy repeatedly

Step 2: Eating thunder energy rich food to replenish energy and adapt to higher quality and quantity of energy present in food

Step 3: Study and copy or imitate the way the beast present in thunder cloud realm use their skills

He was going do to his best to communicate Lightning Rat , although low rank beast don't have much intelligence but it is still possible to relay one's intentions through contract or trained commands.

He is also going to fight alongside Lightning Rat to stimulate the protective nature a pet have towards their master due to the contract and it will also help Su Ping adapt to violence, fear, pain etc. Being from peaceful world he has hardly participated in fist fight much less life and death struggle.

"Alright buddy its just you and me now, lets begin our three day hell trip "said Su ping as he grin spread across his face, one that was filled with nervousness, fear, and bit of excitement.

Just like that seven days passed by

In a forested region of thunder cloud realm a lightning blur could be seen zapping around from tree to tree, occasional lightning strikes could be seen coming from the blur striking the same region again and again, in the region there is a purple colored bamboo , it would discharge thunder teeters time to time. Near the bamboo a large basilk with glowing pinkish hide could be seen tanking the electric strikes from the blur again and again this blur was a lightning rat a low rank beast while the thunder basilk is supposed to be a rank six monster with a rank 8 bloodline which means it will become a rank 8 beast when it reached the adulthood yet it was being overwhelmed by the lightning rat , there was a large wound on the hind legs the basilk like a sword have ripped through it, a few hundred meter away a human is crouching down behind a bush constantly getting spasm by the energy released by bush, even though in bad state , the human made sure to instruct and guide the lightning rat.

The fight continued for a few more munities before the basilk took its last breath and the fight came to an end.

"Good job buddy" said Su Ping as he came out of the bush dancing like a hanged Robot,

"Let's harvest the Nine Pagoda Bamboo now"

While he Harvested the Bamboo Lightning Rat came to side , still looking vigilant of the surrounding.

Although Su Ping had been beside Lightning Rat all this time , it was still the Lightning Rat who did most of the fighting, the most he could do was distract the beasts at critical moments taking their attack and dying to give Lightning Rat a chance to attack, aside from that he focused on harvesting different plants that he could find.

They made the most they could of these seven days provided to them and a lot of harvest was stored in system storage while quiet a bit was eaten by Lightning Rat. Right now it was at the peak of rank 2 , it was able to break its bloodline limit after Su ping gave it a thunder essence lotus which can increase the rank of any pet of thunder family bellow rank 8 by one irrespective of their species and there is a high chance of a rank 8 pet to break through to rank 9. As it being a waste to it to Lightning Rat, it really wasn't since there were like tens of those available there being guarded by a ocean state beast and although both of them died tens of times to distract the beast from their objective, they were able to deceive it and grabbed 8 and a damaged flower before they have revive randomly.

Within these seven days both of them died thousands of times and unlike in the novel due to him fighting alongside Lightning Rat, taking a lot of hits to cover it and feeding energy rich food he was able to develop quiet a good friendship with it.

Most of the time they fought against enemies the they can at least resist against by giving their all and ran away from those they were no match for, each time they gave their all before dying.

In the next second darkness took over as he was once again sucked into a space crack and when he came to be he was once again in the store.
