Su Ping's eyes sparkled upon hearing the mention of rewards.

"Collect!"

Su Ping went to the pet room at the back. He saw that the Lightning Rat had fallen into a deep sleep in one of the ancient stalagmite arrays.

The three days of hellish training had worn the Lightning Rat out. It fell into a sound sleep as soon as it returned to this familiar place.

Compared with three days prior, Lightning Rat now has gained a dark purple fur aster eating the lotus and gives off the presence of a ferocious beast that was making the Moon Chasing Hound in the other stalagmite array shiver in fear; it was obviously unsettled.

After seeing Lightning Rat sleeping peacefully Su Ping used identification on it to check the progress it made.

Su Ping wasn't surprised since he could send his intentions to Lightning Rat through contract, he made it try all sorts of things.

When they started Training by repeatedly releasing all the lightning energy again and again using Thunder shock it transformed to Thunder Strike which does high piercing damage.

Lightning Overcoat and Thunder Rush was a technique it learned when Su Ping tried to make Lightning Rat emulate Raikage by completely covering itself in lightning to deflect the Ranged attacks it received. Over Sense was the result of intimating Killua's Second form and though it didn't gain instant reaction it did gain enhanced sense and reaction time during the skill use, Lightning explosion is similar to electro ball for AOE damage, Lightning Slash was learned by intimating beasts they fought and it gives high slashing damage with burning tissue effect, Lightning Flash a skill that gives almost instant movement within the range of few 10 meters(at rank 2) to 100s of meters at a higher rank and Thunder Shadow Image which makes an almost indistinguishable lightning clone to confuse enemies was learned due the need to repeatedly run away or keep up with beast that were too fast for them to handle. Thunder Fang it learned naturally and Thunder Field was Su Ping's idea, it establish and maintain a Thunder field around Lightning Rat, then when Lightning Rat uses a skill it can overcharge the skill or half the skill execution time by charging the skill from both inside and outside and although energy expensive, it helps with both quick attack or high burst damage which is enough to do some damage to even beast at the low rank of 7.

Most of the skills Lightning Rat learned were Top lightning skills just below legend rank and were at Initial Mastery making Lightning Rat's combat Strength reach 6 which was 3 times its Current Rank Once it Mastered these techniques its Combat Strength will increase even more

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call a Lightning Rat an advanced beast (Rank6-Rank7) with titled Rank Bloodline(Rank9) when it was equipped with so many powerful skills.

As for its Aptitude being average, it was expected as it was compared to all lightning rats ever born.

According to System Aptitude Rating goes from Poor< Bellow Average< Average (normal)< Above Average(good)< Ultra Rank< Chaos Rank in species< Chaos Rank among all species.

Su YanYing the owner of the Lightning Rat looked up. She could already see the Enterence little pet store down the street—Pixie Pet Store.

At the moment Su Yanying's mood is quite terrible.

She had participated in primarily rounds of the Battle Pet Warrior Tournament Organized by her Academy but her luck had been so bad that she ended up facing one seeded participant after another for three continuous rounds which resulted in all her Pet Beasts being injured and no victory to her name, if she lost the next match she would be eliminated from the tournament.

This was an annual grand event of the academy. The students would display their strengths in this event. If someone could be favored by some Astral Pet masters during the tournament, they would be able to enjoy better tutoring and training. This could add brilliance in their resumes when the time came to join the Astral Pet Team!

She had already asked her parents to spend a fortune to invite an advanced pet healer to cure one of the battle pets.

That being said, one battle pet was not enough. That was her ace in the hole.

She had to have a battle pet that could be the power forward and that could lure out her opponent's ace pet.

If it weren't for the fact that the academy prohibited any pets that were contracted within a month to enter the tournament, she would have bought some pets at the last minute, even though that would inflict a great burden on her mind could cause severe problems in case she contracted pets more than what she could safely support.

She had no other battle pets available, except for the Lightning Rat she had left at the store's pet boarding service.

A very common low-rank Lightning Rat.

She even wanted to give it up because this Lightning Rat could no longer satisfy her requirements. Faced with the recent opponents, the Lightning Rat would be of no use and yet she couldn't bring herself to remove the contract directly and abandon it. So, currently, this Lightning Rat was the only other battle pet that could enter the field.

The Lightning Rat was weaker but she supposed it could be used to feel her opponents.

The World where she lives is fraught with all kinds of dangers, from humans with malice to the beasts that emerge from space cracks that can be found all over the world all this has made the life of citizens of the blue planet much more difficult to point that human could only take shelter under cities protected by the government. People could easily lose their life when they travel outside the cities.

Those who Awaken as Battle Pet Warriors are the people that protect these cities and keep their surrounding safe by eliminating the beast outside the cities, if they don't the beast will increase in numbers and form a beast tide that will overrun the cities and destroy everything in their path.

Despite knowing the dangers related to the Battle Pet Warrior profession she still longs to become one because only by having strength can she guarantee her parent's safety.

"Anyone here?"

While musing these thoughts Su Yanying pushed the door open and entered the pet store. She threw a casual glance over the store. It was empty as if the owner had moved.

"Is the store going out of business?" Su Yanying though. Fortunately, she had come in time.

"Yes?"

Su Ping heard the voice and left the pet room at once. He saw a pretty girl standing in the store, looking around. He had a pretty good idea about who she was even though he only remember a rough description of her from the novel but he doubted any other girl would come to his store at this time.

"Hi."

Su Ping stepped out of the back room.

"Hi, I'm here to pick up my Astral Pet." Su Yanying turned her looks away from the empty store and said to Su Ping.

"The Lightning Rat that I put here half a month ago. Is it doing okay?"

As Su Ping expected, She was Su Yanying, She was indeed quite pretty.

"It is more than fine, I will bring it right away," he said with a smile, as he went to pick up the Lightning rat.

"Alright Buddy, it's time for you to go back to your master," said Su Ping to the Lightning Rat as he Brought it out of the Pet Room.

Su Yanying found that something was off about the Lightning Rat, it looked way different than how she remembered making her alarmed.

"What happened" she demanded with a raised voice as she rushed to pick up the Lightning Rat anxiously.

Although startled the Lightning Rat didn't do anything when Su Yanying picked it up as it recognized her right away and relaxedly nestled in her arms.

"Calm down miss, you don't need to be anxious, your Lightning Rat just ate a Thunder Essence lotus from the store inventory"

"If you check the federation website you would find it under special grade thunder treasure plant that can help a pet below Rank 8 increase its Rank by 1 regardless of its bloodline with 100% success rate and no side effects"

"I have also trained your Lightning Rat otherwise most of the energy from Thunder Essence Lotus would have gone to waste as Lightning Rat was just a Rank one pet when it consumed it"

The words he said left Su Yanying stunned for a moment, when she came to be she quickly took out her phone to verify the information, it is not that she didn't want to trust the owner but what he said was just too absurd, especially considering that this was just a run-down store when she last visited and even if renovated now it still just seems to be a normal store.

As she confirmed the information about the Thunder Essence Lotus it left her completely breathless and she could only look at Lightning Rat then at the phone then again at Lightning Rat dumbly, according to the holy city pet trainer association website Thunder Essence Lotus was an extremely rare treasure which would never be sold and the reason she believed that he hadn't lied is because if he did lie and she reported to the association then after the investigation losing the shop license and his life would be the least of his worries, trainer association is quiet strict on scammers and lying about something like this could implicate whole families.

"This is the status detail of your Lightning Rat after training, it has reached the Peak of Rank 2, with its Combat ability being at Initial rank 6, though with Lightning Rat's advance skills and battle experience, it gained through training it could match a Peak Rank 6 beast as long as you as its master don't hold him back, so I suggest that you take time to experience its combat ability and skills so that you don't harm it by giving wrong instruction"

"I can help you understand all its utility and less destructive skills on a primitive level outside the store if you want but for more destructive skills you will have to find a proper training ground"

She came out of her dumb state after she heard Su Ping's voice, she took the data sheet and read it once then twice then thrice but the data didn't change and she didn't know how or what to think at this moment.

She understood what the store owner said and what the data meant but it was still incomprehensible to her after all her pet was just a low-Rank Lightning Rat and the data Written by the store owner was too good even for most elite dragon bloodlines pets who may have 3-4 top skills in normal cases and 5 -6 if they are too talented but according to the data her pet knows 10 such skills.

"If you are done musing, should we go outside?" said Su Ping once again making her come out of her dazed state.
