Chapter 28

The elven princess has been always a lonely girl wanting to receive some love and affection since childhood.

She never actually experienced the true love of a family either.

Her mother, the current Queen of the Elves was a busybody… she rarely visited her home much less had time for her children…they were all the responsibility of the nannies in charge of raising them properly.

As for her siblings, they were like strangers and interacted rarely despite living under the same roof.

They all knew that there will be a war to claim the throne and all of them wanted to claim the throne for themselves and emotional relations would only get in their way.

They knew they will need to kill the competition if they wish to succeed to the throne and the most dangerous threat between them and the throne currently was the crown princess who was as of now official heir to the throne of elves.

So, just a careless move from her side and she would be seen hanging on the walls of the castle the next moment so she had to be wary of every single one of them.

Her mother, the Queen, allowed this to happen, she didn't want the future of elves to crumble because of incompetence from one of her children.

It would be better if they don't interfere entirely or just cease to exist if they will prove to be incompetent.

A leader had to sacrifice a lot for his citizens after all and she was right… she has lost many she held dear.

The elven princess, named Kristine, was tired of all of this, she didn't want to be dragged into such a mess but it was her fate and destiny, she could not abandon the elves and she knew she had to become someone they could trust and feel safe under.

Kristine was also a monster since birth, she had terrifying aura capacity and brilliant sword skills which made any of her siblings cower in fear facing her, and that's how she has been maintaining her dominance till now.

But even she knew, they would either need to back off or die in the future.

Under such stress, she needed someone to rely on and share her feelings with, so when she came to the academy, she was excited to make friends who would understand her.

In the novel's plot, she was befriended by one of the heroines belonging to a low-class family, and then from there, they began overcoming hurdles, assassinations, duels, political shit, etc, and finally married in the end only for the heroine to die at the hands of Kristine's sister, a villainess, to save Kristine's life.

This finally triggered Kristine as she rampaged into the elven city driven by mad rage destroying every evil thing but….

Unfortunately for her,

Her blood-related sister, the villainess, used this as an excellent opportunity to deem her heretic and by brainwashing the nobles and citizens, she crushed Kristine and thus gained the right to the throne for herself.

The villainess was the final winner in that arc and the heroine was later kept at the dungeon tortured daily by her twisted sister who was later found to have had unhealthy feelings for her own sister,

One of the reasons she didn't dare kill Kristine, she was heavily obsessed with her after all.

So that was basically her plot, where she would spend her ending days being raped by her own blood-related sister in a dark dungeon.

I, knowing the storyline didn't want to interact with her at all… I mean, wouldn't she eventually meet with that heroine even if I didn't involve myself with her…

At best, for the sake of being a roommate, I will interact with her as little as possible, as minimum as I could to keep her face.

Even though she is being polite doesn't mean she is a pushover, if she is being disrespected or not given respect worthy of her status, she could be very vicious as well.

"Hello! My name is Kristine. You can call me Kris… As you can see, I am an elf… ah, and also once again sorry for the rude behavior earlier."

She said and looked at me expectantly.

I did the same

"Hi. You can call me Ellis, I am a half-demon, and don't worry too much about earlier."

"Ellis…. Great! I will be in your care….!"

"Likewise, Kris."

After that, we went to our separate rooms to rest as today was a tiring day.

Thinking about my future plans, I didn't realize when I fell asleep.

I am an elf, a crown princess at that as of now, I was born with exceptional talents whatsoever.

My talent in using aura was something many would dream of and I realized this fact early on when I used to play around the castle.

The maids, the butlers, the knights, the ministers, and whoever came across me treated me very politely and with high respect….

Being the child I was, made me arrogant and prideful as my ego was being satisfied.

I didn't realize that I was walking down the path of no return.

But fortunately, or maybe, unfortunately, I was later able to realize this fact thanks to my nanny who took care of me since birth and someone I cherished more than anyone.

Although the price I had to pay to realize this was world ending.

It was the death of my one and only loved one, my nanny.

It was a scheme all along.

All those ministers were schemers, the nobles, and even some knights, all of them wanted nothing but to cut me down.

Of course, it was not that easy for them, being the crown princess, I myself had a ton of support myself and influence greater than any of my siblings.

Although, I call it to support, what they sought was benefits from me and my potential in the future, if I got eliminated, so would they…

After all, the competition for the throne was tough and cruel.

I also realized this and their need for me as well. I need to use them to get the throne.

It doesn't matter if they wanted to reap benefits but as long as I am strong enough, it would be easy for me to control them and their vexing greed.

So, I did what I could at the moment.
