Chapter 96 - Technical Difficulties (3)

All of the students were standing around the Control Center expecting the Grimm to show up. They just needed to what for the information that was gathered in this area to be transferred so they could set up another one in a more secure area.

Shallot started copying information again the same as he did with the other command center gathering information for himself. They waited and didn't see any Grimm.

Jaune: "I guess there aren't anymore Grimm coming since they haven't come so far. This is going to be our easiest one yet."

Shallot's eyebrow twitched knowing that Jaune had just raised one hell of a flag. Shallot wasn't the only one as Blake slapped her face, facepalming at what Jaune said.

Ruby turned and looked at Blake who facepalmed.

Ruby: "Why are you facepalming?"

Blake exhales before looking towards Jaune.

Blake: "As Shallot would say. He has just activated a flag."

Rooooooarrrrrrrrrr

Everyone could feel the ground shaking underneath them and they all turned to look at Jaune.

Jaune: "What?"

62 Creeps came burrowing through the ground leading the charge. Behind them, 18 Beowolves and 14 Alpha Creeps were moving together with them. 20 Boarbatusk were charging through the trees knowing them over moving in a stampede.

Shallot: "That was one hell of a flag you activated Jaune."

Jaune: "How is this my fault."

The others just looked at Juane and then the stampeding heard of Grimm thinking this was around the same number that attacked Vale last time. The only difference this time is that there is a Giant Grimm this time.

Jaune: "At least there is a larger Grimm this time."

Blake picked up a rock the size of a softball launching it at Jaunes head smashing into his aura shield.

Jaune: "Ahhhh."

Jaune grabbed his forehead filling the impact even though his aura made sure he didn't take direct damage.

Blake: "Just shut up before you make it worse."

A loud screech was heard coming from the sky when they saw a Nevermore swooping down towards them.

Pyrrha was also looked towards Jaune only to look towards the heard of Grimm coming towards them. Shallot walked out and disappeared from his spot and appeared directly in front of the Nevermore. He reached behind him pulling out his Scythe swinging it sending a ki slash from the edge of it splitting the Grimm in half.

Shallot: "Not bad. I didn't even feel the drain in ki. This is definitely a great weapon Ruby and I made. I don't have to worry about destroying an entire town now and have more control over stronger moves."

Shallot looked at the Scythe in his hand wondering if he could make another one but for Ruby to use to she could rely on ki instead of dust bullets since they aren't that great. After landing Shallot was in the middle of the horde of Grimm.

Shallot: "Everyone should drop to the ground unless you want to be split in half."

He launched out spinning in a circle sending blades of ki around himself splitting the Grimm in half and also clearing a walk walkway for him. Everyone else flopped down to the ground to get out of the way of the attack not wanting to end up like the Grimm. Shallot walked back over to the control panel and turned to the rest with only 12 Grimm left standing.

Jaune was on the ground covering his head with his hands and then stood up patting his body checking himself. He checked his hair and found a small amount of hair that used to be at the top of his head was cut.

Shallot: "You all can handle the rest. Everyone can deal with one on their own and the lucky person can deal with 2. I just didn't want to risk a stray shot messing with the control center."

The others got up from the ground and moved dealing with the Grimm in only a matter of seconds while Blake just continuing laying on the ground and started gathering ki on her finger and trying to do what Shallot does with his ki.

After they were finished with the Grimm it didn't seem as if any more were going to appear and they just had to wait for Professor Port to say he was finished. Shallot was looking through the information himself and saw that there wasn't an underground lab or secret area around here.

Coco: "If we have someone like Shallot around shouldn't we just leave the mission to him and his team while the rest of us just gather information."

Shallot turned away looking slightly away.

Shallot: "It's also your mission since the teachers most likely wanted to see if you could lead younger teams. I don't think they were expecting for me to be the end all be all for this mission so this test run did run so far."

Coco was thinking that he was right. She figured that her team should have been sent to act as a type of guide to show the teams that haven't been on a mission themselves the ropes.

Coco: 'Shallot was here however and made most encounters completely redundant making the encounters with Grimm even unusual ones are taking lightly. That could be bad for some like Team JNPR since if they came across a situation like the Grimm from the last place it would have most likely not have ended so cleanly. From the times that we have gone on missions, you should always be on guard and never relaxed.'

Coco looked around at everyone who seemed to be relaxing now waiting for Professor Port except for Pyrrha. She still seemed to be on guard but everyone else seemed to be as if they were on a stroll.

Velvet was listening out around here as she was using the method she copied from Shallot making ki strings so that she could become better but she was also curious about Ruby and Shallot since they seemed so close. She knows that Yang is her sister and wanted to ask her if they were already together.

Velvet walked over to Yang to get some answers to her question.

Velvet: "Yang."

Yang turned to Velvet wondering what was up.

Yang: "Yeah Velvet?"

Velvet: "Are Shallot and Ruby in a relationship? They seem really close."

Yang was looking at Velvet when she asked the question and could see the small blush on her face. Yang smirked at that thinking that if she played her cards maybe one more would be enough since Velvet was a rabbit Faunus. She heard from Blake that rabbit Faunus are known to last a long time in the bed which is why they are a larger part of the Faunus population than most kinds.

Yang: "Ruby is in a relationship with Ruby."

Velvet ears dropped hearing that.

Yang: "But she's not the only one."

Velvet's ears stood back up being surprised at that.

Yang: "Me, Blake, Ruby, and someone else you don't know is all together with Shallot."

Velvet wasn't expecting that answer.

Velvet: "Why are all of you together with him?"

Velvet wanted an answer to this question since she was quite interested.

Yang: "The answer to that is..."
