Arc 3 Chapter 65 War

Pov Elin third person

Elin sat in a corner. Her back against the wall. She was thinking, why did she act like that. The only thing the man did, was point a weapon at her. Because of a miss understanding. Why did she have such a strong reaction. She was filled with guilt, as she had acted out of order.

Even though she was having a mental breakdown, work did not stop. She was creating water arrows, with all her access mana. A cloud of arrows hovered above the city. As Elin couldn't bother hiding it. Billions of arrows, waiting to strike down. This of course terrified the inhabitants, but the army quickly diffused the situation.

After many minutes of sulking, Elin finally stood up. Her figure was as stunning as ever. Sadly no one was here, to witness the beautiful scene. Finally accepting she acted out of order. She started focusing on what was important.

Natural clouds had formed and rain was falling. The citizens hid, in their houses. Unaware of whats to come.

Rain parted at the spot Elin stood, like it didn't want to hit her. Elin inspected the empty streets, before walking away. She was making her way towards the wall again. This time, she would not leave. She was going to stay and get ready to protect everyone.

Small time skip

1 hour before the arrival of the enemy. Elin was standing at the wall, ready for what was about to come. Her figure, was the only one seen. The soldiers at the wall, had retreated. Hiding behind cover, not wanting to get wet. In Elins opinion, they were pathetic. At a day, where invasion is at best, they don't guard the wall. Perhaps they are stupid, but this is the next level. She though, as she looked down. Observing the ground, looking for any sign of life.

So with nothing else to do, she focused on the best defense she knew, offense. 10 of billions of arrows, in the sky, waited for the faithful encounter and she wouldn't have to wait to long.

Pov nothing, location war of the evil third person

In the middle of the day, darkness arrived. A army of trillions, covered the continent. There was no end to them, they just kept coming. A swarm so big, you could not see the end. Even the apostle Elin could not see where the army stopped. But this didn't discourage her. The army was going many ways, not just the city. It was going to destroy any country, or city in this continent. But enough of that, the army was within range, of Elins attacks.

Screams of pain resounded the area. Hideous monster and worshipers of evil gods, were slaughtered like livestock. Every second, millions of them died. But it didn't even make a dent. It just created a wall of corpses between the army and the wall.

Arrows kept raining, but they were running short. Many of the arrows missed, or didn't kill the enemy. But after all the arrows were used, five billion had died. All the killing, had created a bit more distance between the enemy and the wall. But it wasn't enough, to keep them. The army of monsters, from the justice side, had to arrive soon. Or the city would go under. Elin knew this better than any other. Thats why she was creating a giant wall, she was going to use, to crush the enemy.

A giant wall, hundreds of meters tall, was being created of water and ice. It was a tsunami, with sharp ice inside it. With one purpose, to cause as much damage as possible.

The tsunami traveled towards them, at a terrifying speed. It would sweep away and kill most of them. The current general knew that. So he used his magic, to try to control the water. He was the worshiper of the former Lakstar. So he was of course a Lakstar, that abandoned his purpose. At the strength of A+, he was confident to take on the wave.

As the apostle of Ukrage, he was not going to lose to anyone. Or so the fool thought. He was able to counter the wave and save most of the army, even if billions still died. Sadly after stopping the tsunami, he was exhausted and he thought the enemy was the same. But he was wrong. When he saw, a second wave getting formed. He got enraged, when he saw the girl make a second wave. His pride was now hurt. So instead of protecting everyone, he went on the offensive. Giant lightning bolts, flew at Elin, shocking her. She felt divinity behind the attack, meaning an apostle was attacking her. In response to his acts, Elin created a meteor if ice and threw it at him. While also sending the tsunami at the army. Let's see how strong he is, she thought, as she watched the army struggle.

Even if Elin was acting arrogant, she was getting tired. She was creating moon sized meteors and world sized tsunamis. Every second her mana was getting emptied. But she didn't care, as she could feel her reinforcement on it's way. Hundreds of millions of monsters. This would be great. Even if they were fewer, she could buff them and make them protect and not attack. They were trying to hold out, not win. That was the mission of the justice army.

The apostle of Ukrage was struggling immensely. The meteor thrown at him, was blocked. But he was completely empty. The power he once prided himself with, was long gone. As he watched her ravage his friends. Like a hungry beast, she had given up on her advantage and flown closer to the ground. She was firing arrows, that exploded into ice killing hundreds around her victim. She was strategically shooting, to make even more distance between the wall. Every second, she shoot, 1000 times, each killing hundreds of enemies. While she was doing that, she was also creating arrows of water, that rained down on the enemy.

But they noticed her, tactical, slow retreat. She was getting tired, from all the shooting and magic use. Of course the monsters tried to use this, but before they could. A goblin jumped down the wall. Confusing many of the monster and worshipers. But their confusion didn't stop time, so more and more monsters arrived.

Every second, stronger and more ice themed monsters arrived. Millions of them jumped over the wall and started to attack the enemy. But the swarm of monsters didn't stop and more and more arrived. Until it was at the billion mark. At that point the ally reinforcement finally stopped. Elin was very thankful, as buffing them would take all she had. So without further ado, she casted a buff spell on them and sat down. To watch the mayhem.

Giant ice golems, collided with the monsters of the evil faction. They were pushing them back even more. But that ended, when a second general arrived. His laughter echoed around the battlefield. Mocking his ally, for his loss of energy. This general was no other than a apostle of Bob.

He was once human, but got blessed by bob. After that, it's life went to hell. Every day it would eat and become less human, by the day. It slowly transformed into the hideous monster of today. It was just a bunch of fat, kept together by the bones, eaten if the foes and allies. The concept of friends was long gone, so it ate all the fallen worshipers and monster alike, to increase it's strength.

After it finished consuming all the dead, it became a slime of fat. A disgusting beast, slowly crawling towards the wall. All it touched were eaten. Both sides had heavy loses, as it crawled towards the wall. Monsters ran away from it, from both sides.

Elin breathed in fresh air and sighted. Why was her job so difficult. She had to fight a monster at S rank. That was full of energy. Thankfully her master trained her well. So she was ready to fight this beast, even if her energy was low.

She had rested for 30 minutes, before this thing arrived. Allowing her to recover some of her energy, but not enough, to be confident to win. She jumped down and created wings of water. So she wouldn't have to waste energy on flying.

Using the wings to fly, she started to fire at the slime of fat. Each arrow hit it, but was simply consumed by the monster. Truly a terrifying monster. With no other choice, she started using mana, on the arrows, to actually hurt the beast.

Her energy was disappearing at an incredible rate, but she didn't stop. Each millisecond hundreds of arrows were fired. All of the arrows bounced of the fat slug, but small dents were made. Angering the apostle of bob. For the first time, he attacked back, but it was proved useless. He had sacrificed his attack for defense. A big mistake! Thanks to the new discovery, Elin got even more aggressive, without fearing the consequences. Millions of arrows rained down on the slug, all of them strong enough to kill an A rank and hurt an A+. But the slug had the defense of an S+ rank and attack of a A rank. So the arrows only scratched him. But the amount of them, started to hurt the monster.

After many minutes, the slug/slime of fat, was chipped away. Leaving only, a tired almost dead apostle. He was at his last stand, still crawling towards the wall. But Elin has had enough and stomped his head, several times. Killing the monster, that wrecked havoc, amongst his friends and enemies.

The other general, had recovered some energy. So he thought it was a good idea to attack her, while she was tired. Which proved to be a big mistake, as Elin simply side stepped and fired a arrow. The arrow flew right through his head. Killing him, without him knowing the cause of his death.

After she was done, she went back to rest. While the two armies fought it out. This was only forty minutes into the fight and she had to survive and fight for a whole day. Her fighting spirit was still there, but she was tired and had to rest.

But even if she was resting, the war was on going. Thousands of monsters from both sides died every second and without a commander. The enemies were without a leader. Leading to chaos spreading amongst them. Infighting occurred, between the different religions. As they disagreed with each other. While the allies were collected and worked together. The enemy was split, fighting at three fronts.

But even if they were fighting each other, they still had a number advantage. So the monster under the justice faction still had a hard time. But they still managed to push them back even further.

Every second, the temperature was dropping, as billions of ice monsters were on the battlefield, using ice magic. The temperature weakened and slowed down the enemy. Every second it was getting colder and harder for the enemy to fight back. While the allies were getting buffed, from the cold. As all creatures like goblins and kobolds were long gone.

As time passed, it was clear that the enemies were inferior. It was clear that they were losing. But Elin wasn't stupid, she knew that that was only for now. As time passed, all their advantages would disappear. All her monster would die and get replaced, if even that. She knew that it was very bad and if reinforcement didn't arrive, in any form. In 3 hours, this city would disappear.
